  • Fantastic Experience!

    Having not been through the vehicle-purchasing expercise in over a decade, I did not know what to expect. From the initial call to driving off the lot, I experienced a level of professionalism and care from the McDavid Acura Pre-Owned team we should all hope to experience. Of particular note was Tim Sechrest, who was just outstanding. He was very personable, yet not in the forced or fake sense I've experienced before. His understated approach allowed for me to experience and explore the vehicle within my comfort level, and have it sell itself. I asked a lot of nuanced questions and his answers demonstrated an unparalleled knowledge of even the most idiosyncratic features of the vehicle. Tim is genuine and non-pushy -- the kind of person whom you can trust to help you find what you need and to tell you if they just don't have it. In the end, for me, they did have what I wanted. When it came time to discuss a possible deal, Tim was a straight shooter. He eschewed unnecessary puffing and overselling. He stuck to the facts. He listened to my points and, even when he had counterpoints, he presented them in a coherent, logical fashion (never demeaning me or undermining the validity of anything I had to say). Tim was a consummate, fair-dealing professional, and I ultimately left with what I believe was a great win/win for both sides, and I hope they do, too. My only regret is that the dealership is a probably a little too far from where I live for my to bring the vehicle in for routine service. (But, if their service team is anywhere close to the same level as Tim and the sales team, I might just be tempted to do so!)

  • Very pleasurable new lease experience

    Payam greeted us at first entry, helped us narrow down our vehicle selection, took time to explain all of our different options, and let us test drive those we were interested in. After we made our selection, we were able to take the car on an extended test drive to verify the vehicle fit well in our garage. The negotiation and paperwork process was very easy. I felt we were given a fair deal from the beginning, without the need for extended haggling.

    I loved my sales experience with Matt, James and Dennis. They have all the vehicle knowledge and share it in an understandable way to this lay-woman. This is my 3rd Acura and the second time I've worked with Matt and he clearly knows how to make a customer for life!! I highly recommend this dealership!

  • Pleasant No Hassle Experience

    Car shopping is normally a stressful and dreadful experience. I'm a straight shooter and hate to play those back and forth games. However, this was one of my best experiences. I just purchased my new Acura TLX with the Advance package from Harsh Patel. Working with Harsh was great. He is extremely knowledgeable on all of the complicated technological features. He also has a great personality. No pressure at all and very friendly and patient. I also worked with Ankur on my trade-in. He was great to work with as well. I felt that I received a fair price for both the car and the trade-in. Lastly, I worked with Giles on the financing. Giles was great to work with as well. Again, no pressure and he was extremely efficient with completing the huge stack of forms typical of the car buying process. I normally would spend at least an extra hour in that final stage of the process. I also briefly met with Jennifer from Service who was nice as well. Sylvester was shadowing Harsh and was nice as well. All in all a very good experience.

    We worked with Eduard, and his manager Sam. The MDX was not the cheapest we could find. We actually left the dealership to go look at another MDX. The time, concern and quality of work that David McDavid put into preparing the MDX for sales really showed up when we compared it to another dealers workmanship. Eduard and Sam were honest, polite and great to work with. Great People and Dealership.

  • Great First Acura Purchase

    I had such a positive experience at McDavid Acura that I felt compelled to share it with others. From start to finish, the people I dealt with at the dealership were professional, courteous, and trustworthy. I did quite a bit of homework and the price they offered me for my trade and the 2015 Acura MDX that I bought seemed extremely fair. Gabe took lots of time to show us the features and get everything configured exactly how we wanted. The General Sales Manager, Charlie Sokolash, even came over to entertain my kids while we were reviewing the features. On top of everything, they let me borrow a giant blue bow to complete the Christmas morning surprise for my wife. I highly recommend David McDavid Acura of Plano.

  • 2015 TLX

    I purchased a new 2015 TLX 4 cylinder last night. I really liked how the internet sales manager, Chris Sprayberry, sent me a very competitive price via email. Also, Drew Jones, sales consultant, promised he would call me when the car arrived, and he followed through exactly as he said he would. The car was ready at the scheduled appointment time and Drew went over many of the car's specifications at time of delivery. Unfortunately I had to wait quite a while to complete financing because the dealership was extremely busy with many year-end shoppers there last night. But it was well worth the wait because the car if fantastic!

    I visited the dealership to see the TLX, MDX and primarily the RDX. Within a few moments Brett M. approached me and asked if I wanted assistance or had questions - NOT the typical car salesman approach. I found this very professional, courteous, and it took the "curse" off the visit. Brett spent 2.5 to 3.0 hours with me and answered all my questions about all of the vehicles - though the TLX rose quickly to the number one choice. I left the dealership with the promise that I would be back when I was ready. Well... ready came very quickly. I couldn't stop thinking about the TLX though I had purposely NOT test driven the car (I knew that would seal the deal). Didn't matter. I called the next morning and Brett came in early so I could drive the car. Again he spent several hours with me HELPING me decide which of their available TLX Advanced Package cars was the one for me. Brett and Ankur made me a very fair offer and I bought my TLX that day , The next pleasant surprise was working with Matt O. - my business manager. He found me the best possible financing and advised me on the best terms for my particular buying situation. Just another absolutely pleasant and stressless experience. My beautiful Pearl White Advanced Package TLX was ready the next day and Brett spent another two hours explaining all of the features of the car and helping me set many of them up. When was the last time you got that kind of attention to the details after the deal was done? Finally, while I was at the dealership both days I was introduced to many of the folks at the dealership and Brett took me over to the Service Department so I could meet those folks and know who I would be dealing with when my car needs maintenance. I cannot not stress enough what a great experience the personnel at David McDavid Acura made of my new car purchase. This is a luxury car facility with nothing but the most professional people I have ever encountered in the automobile business. I rate them a five stars across the board only because six isn't available!!!!

    Just bought a 2015RDX. Had a great experience, easily the most painless car buying experience that I have ever had. Chad M. was the sales consultant and was wonderful. There was no pressure and they came up with a fairly good initial offer and price matched an offer a few hundred dollars better that I got from a dealer some distance from me. Would highly recommend David McDavid Acura to anyone looking to buy a Acura in DFW. Ram

    Mark B. has sold cars to my family over the last 10 years. He makes the purchasing process a pleasure and goes out of his way to make the best deal possible without a lot of negotiating. Once he finalizes a price it is the best he can do and I always felt it was a very fair deal. I will continue to buy Acura products as long as Mark is at this dealership.

    I did my homework and had a good price in mind when I went into David McDavid Acura. Having bought an MDX there before, I thought I would be treated royally. I saw the car I was interested in and it was a showroom DEMO with ony a few thousand miles. The sales person told me it was a great deal and about $5,000 less then getting "brand new" This was then confirmed by their manager Charlie, I mulled it over for a few days and contacted other dealers and found I could get one that was not a demo for about the same price as the Demo. I Called David MCDavids online manager Bob K, was given a better price then I was offered originally and then we settled on a price that was about 500.00 different from the Demo Price. I bought brand new and I love my car, but you need to be a very cost conscious buyer.

    I had owned an 04 TL, so I had a pretty good idea what i was looking for. I called DMcD Acura and asked for the sales manager. I explained to him that I had prices from another Acura dealer (in Irving) but was not happy with thier deal or treatment. He beat thier offer by "a mile" without even seeing my trade (I was still on the phone). He called me back the next day to better the deal still. I went down for another test drive and agreed to buy the car. The ENTIRE experiance was frendly and professional. From the salesman, sales manger, finance manager, person who delivered the car, we were made to feel like "they appreciated our business". I'd recommend them in a minute.

    We had looked at the CX9 and Acadia (both too big for my spouse) when we stopped by to look at the RDX. Viktor was our sales associate. We have purchased several cars in my life and can truly tell you that his experience was the best ever. We have purchased from the Sewell Family of Dealerships before so this praise is not hollow. Danny Sabor explained the options we could add in a matter-of-fact manner, no pressure at all. Will Ramos was our F&I Professional and he took care to treat us with the utmost respect. My wife took delivery and was shown all of the workings of the car well above and beyond expectations. We enjoyed the process and felt good about the deal, the trade and the respect shown to us.

    David McDavid is awesome - Tabias was amazing - very accommodating, friendly and made things feel like just being with friends. We were in and out of financing in 10 minutes - that's a record! Only buy at this dealership.

    Tony and Sam both did an excellent job of "not" selling me a car, they allowed me to purchase one. I was dreading going to the dealership, due to that Salesman sterotype; however I didn't feel like a hostage or that they were trying to slam a car down my throat. Tony was very pleasant and fun to work with, he knows the inter workings of the cars very well and took the time to demonstrate for me along with setting up my navigation information and hands free link (I love it ! ). He did all of this with a very positive attitude and he and Sam both assured me the concerns I had would be taken care of. These gentlemen give new meaning to "Service with a Smile", Thank you for the best car buying experience ever, I am really enjoying my "red" not "black" TSX :) See you in a few years.

    Both John Vakili and John Clarke were excellent sales consultants! My wife and I have always dreaded the whole car-buying experience, but both Johns made our recent trip to David McDavid Acura of Plano the best one we've ever had! We ended up purchasing a CPO 2012 Acura MDX and at a great price. Thank you both for all your help!

    Just purchased an Acura TL from David McDavid, and this is the third Acura that we've bought from this dealership. We're very pleased with the transaction overall. Our salesperson, Dennis J. was very knowledgable about the car and addressed all of our questions. He was fair and straightforward during the negotiation process. We are satisfied that we got a very fair deal and we have a car that we will be happy with for a long time to come.

    From the moment I walked into the dealership, Tabias J. was a pleasure to work with. Tabias was extremely helpful, knowledgable, and fun to work with. He followed up with me multiple times, without being overbearing. I looked at several other types of cars and visited several other dealerships.
