  • Stay away from this center

I scheduled an online service appointment for my GV80, and they confirmed they’d handle an open recall along with the service. Here’s how the day went: 11:30 AM: Checked in. 1:45 PM: Still no updates. Went to the advisor’s desk—only to find them laughing on a personal call, ignoring me as I waited. After finally acknowledging me, the advisor casually said, "Your oil change is done, we’ll send an update." No proactive communication—I had to ask for a status update myself! Then, they said they were "working on the recall." Waited until 3:30 PM—still no updates. Went back to the desk, only to face the same unprofessional behavior. Finally, the advisor admitted, "We couldn’t do the recall. Sorry." Shocking! I wasted half a day just for an oil change—no lunch, no courtesy, no accountability. Never again. I’ve already escalated this to Genesis Customer Care and will take it further with corporate. Stay away from this center if you value your time and expect basic professionalism."

  • No loaner cars = terrible experiences

    1 out of 5 starsby K White on 11/23/2024

BUYER BEWARE. I have owned a Genesis gv80 for approximately three years now. A month ago I encountered a service issue with my battery. I had to wait the majority of the day at the dealership, because they did not have a loaner car. I am now faced with another service issue where my sensor is beeping at me every second while I drive. I have a teenage driver, so the sensors are crucial. I called and they let me know it’s a 3 month wait (another person said 6-7 months) for a service appointment with a loaner car. I was told they would need the car for 24-48 hours just to do the diagnostics. Additionally, there is also no way of silencing the beeping nor getting to the sensor on your own. I was sent to client relations for a possible rental car reimbursement; however, I would have to incur the cost on my own then submit for approval. There is no way of knowing if it’s approved on the front end. If you decide to purchase a car, please go in fully knowing they are woefully short on loaner cars (I was told they only have a handful and sell thousands of cars.). It is painfully clear this is a major problem as a number of service people have stated they hear it all the time from frustrated customers. One person shared clients complain 6-7 times a day. Consider yourself warned.

  • Omar Sandoval is a keeper!

5 out of 5 starsby Brooke on 02/14/2024

Omar Sandoval just joined the Texas Hyundai team a few months ago. I have been dealing with my engine warranty replacement for over 6 months. Since Omar took over my account, he was able to get the replacement approved, and scheduled within 6 weeks. He left me a message last Friday and had workers scheduled to install over a weekend and provided me a loaner car. It was installed in 4 days. I will be a loyal Hyundai client for life because of Omar Sandoval!

  • Terrible Service

1 out of 5 starsby Kelly on 10/13/2023

Bought my Hyundai Elantra 2 years with the promise of being under warranty, and when I would get my car serviced they would provide transportation and/or a loaner. For the past 2 years I have been regularly disappointed by this dealership with service. Currently I have a problem with my shifter in my car. I called for a walk in, they are telling me it will take 3-5 business days to even LOOK at my car and scheduling won't be for 2 months. They are also not providing loaner cars. After speaking with several people on the phone this morning no other help was offered other than go a week without a car or deal with this problem for 2 months. If your looking to buy a car and think this dealership with provide service for your vehicle in the future look somewhere else. Hyundais are fine cars but this dealership will not help you after you purchased the car.

  • Wonderful Service

Today I went to get my routine oil change from my local Hyundai dealership and was greeted promptly by Mike Morgan. I have seen him before but never have had the pleasure of being waited on by him. He was professional and took the time to explain the wait time time and the service that was going to be preformed. I cannot imagine what he would do with an actual problem if he this thorough with an oil change! I am happy he was my service rep and will look for him in the future. I live in Frisco and drive twenty minutes in traffic just to has this experience. Thank you Mr. Morgan and Hyundai. Arthur Washington

  • service dept is okay

3.8 out of 5 starsby itg on 02/12/2010

Pricing was better here for 30,000 mile service than Vandergriff Hyundai. However my husband had an issue when one o fthe service agents (Charles) told him that his car wasn't under warranty any longer. This was not the case as we had purchased the extended warranty from Huffines. My husband as a result had to drive back there (something like 40 miles one way) the next week after resolving the issue with the service manager and confirming that it was under warranty for work needing done. I do feel they are pretty honest. My husband had his brakes checked at around 70,000 miles and they said they only had about 50% wear and didn't need replacing.
  • 2009 Sonata TPMS light on / 4 months old and 5,000 miles

    1 out of 5 starsby mywebsite3 on 10/03/2009

2nd time to buy a car from Huffines of Plano. Bad experience with Mr. Ray Huffines, general manager, and the service department. This is 2nd time the dealership has had my car to fix the problem. The service department has had the Sonata for over 2 weeks and still can not find a solution. They installed a new electrical unit and the light still came on. On Monday a Hyundai tech is coming out to take a look, good luck... I spoke with Mr. Huffines on Friday and he kept insisting he was confident the problem could be fixed and to me brushed off the whole situation, maybe because I am a female. I maybe a female but I am a knowledgeable consumer. I have forwarded Mr. Huffines my emails to the general manager. I spoke with the general manager as well that day and told him I wanted either my down payment back or a different car. His only reply was let's wait and see. I am tired of the wait and see attitude cause their attitude is indifference. I was told I would have a loaner car and the service tech could not even do that right. I had to speak with the sales manager concerning the situation. The service tech expected me to drive my car with the light on. I did not purchase the car with TPMS light on and I can't believe they expect me to drive it this way. Please do not expect any satisfaction or that the delaership thinks customers are #1, cause clearly by my experience they do not care after they sell you the car...........
  • Oil Leak Sonata 2009 4 days Old car

1 out of 5 starsby dhansuk on 08/23/2008

After only 4 days after I purchased Sonata 2009 I found Oil leak after overnight in the garage, so I took it Huffines of Plano. With in 5 Minutes they came back saying there is no leak. I was really disappointed even after telling them so many times that there was leak, they flatly denied that there was any leak. There were not co-operative at all or just did not beleive me that there was a leak After two days I put a pan underneath the car at night and collected the the oil and went back to show them the leak. There reaction was are you sure that this oil is from the new Sonata. I left the car with them, They came back to say oil pan was not sealed properly ans there was a part which was omitted. There was no apology that they could not accept what I had said the first time. When I went to collect the car from the cashier window they made me wait 10 minuttes even when there was no body there were serving, there was lady working on the table not even bothering to ask what help did I need. All in all the services of Huffines is very poor indeed, I felt like there are telling me , that what do I accept when I buy a cheaper car then Toyota or Honda. If that is there attitude. It won,t be too long people will stop buying Hyundai cars. even if they are cheaper then other.
    • They called for after service survey. As soon as I told them my story, they did not want to continue with the survey. That tells you everthing about their service department STAY AWAY FROM HUFFINES OF PLANO

  • Big disappointment, don't go here!

    4 out of 5 starsby devin6687 on 05/19/2008

I went here and was very disappointed with their service. I made this big long list of things wrong with the car and I even found service bulletins, but they only fixed half the things on my list. They also tried to tell me some of the service bulletins didn't apply to my car when I know they did. They were known, obvious issues with the car that they were trying to tell me didn't exist! And what the rep said wasn't what the receipt for the work said. For instance, the rep told me they tightened the passenger seat (I complained about it rattling), but the receipt said they "checked" it, and it was fine. But guess what, it still rattles! I got a call from a Hyundai rep a few days later asking me what I thought of the service. I told her it sucked and she told me she would call me back about it. It's been like 2 months and she still hasn't called me back.
