    The salesmen Boris truly assisted our shopping experience during the demonstration & selection process. As an experienced car buyer it really made the process of assisting our son with his first car purchase a pleasant experience. Travis in the Advantage finance department provided all the purchase options in a simple, ethical and professional manner. Our outside finanace options offered a slightly better rate and Travis assisted us completing the purchase with all our best interests. We shopped for 8 months at a dozen dealers and got the best vehicle available. But most importantly this dealerships staff made it an excellent purchase experience. Thank you Boris & Travis

  • SAD DAYS FOR BMW THE BRAND

    The prices for the parts are astronomical compared to what you can find at BMW Northwest tacoma Washington (A Dealership). You can literally buy the parts cheaper from there and ship them to yourself then you can get from the dealership itself hear it at Midtown Houston. Truly unbelievable! We had called to get a check engine light service and we book the apt the day that our service agreement had expired and they still wouldn't take care of it. I ended up calling BMW North America and they defaulted to Advantage BMW Midtowns' decision on the parts that were needed to be replaced would not be covered under warranty. So basically a bunch of pointing fingers at each other under the same brand umbrella of BMW. A battery I can understand that's not covered by warranty, but I'm sorry the EVAP valve should be covered under warranty. Truly insane! My faith in BMW has been shattered the German Ingenuity that I once knew is no longer. And that's saying a lot coming from a Persian. Please stand by, the saga continues... This is how people lose trust in brands. SO, I spoke to Jennifer who is a Claim rep for BMW North America. I tried to make a claim in order to extend the warranty, because we made the APT for the check engine light the exact day it expired. I was reassured that this will be taken care of by not just Jennifer, but another (persian guy) (forgot his name) rep that I started the claim with. So I felt like I would be in good hands. A week and half goes by and I get a message that the claim was denied. I call Jennifer to ask why and she tells me we defer to the dealership's servers department for their reason to decline the warranty repair. She was told by someone at the service department that the evap valve that mind you turned out to be a air sensor, but because of the incorrect part naming convention combined with part numbers is listed as valve and not sensor would not be covered by the warranty anyway if the car was still under warranty. SO, we decided to go ahead and just make the repairs and just pay. What started out as $1200-1300 magically turned into a $970. They vaguely cited a recall repair a wheel repair and a software update that they did for free. After some investigation I found that Tacoma Washington list cheaper prices for their parts a BMW dealership further away from a major port then Houston gets cheaper parts in Houston according to this BMW dealership Midtown. I call BS!!! I asked to speak to a floor manager mind you this guy already came up confrontational with a stick up his butt. So I returned his actions with the same type of reaction. I asked him about what was said to the claim rep Jennifer. He started off by denying that anybody had spoken to her. I replied by saying that somebody said something to her from this department. And I've repeated what she told me. And I asked him so the official stance of this service department is that that part is not under warranty even if the car was still under warranty. He responds to me know that part would be under warranty. But the reason he cited for denying the claim is because of out of date warranty. The same day that the warranty expired the appointment was made for the check engine light and if that's the reason not a technicality of part, but rather a date. Mind you BMW North America said that unless it was at the cause of operator error like a wreck this should not be a problem to extend the warranty to get this part covered. So they are pointing fingers at each other and saying this is the reason why we are not going to cover it. As a child I used to love the 1980 BMW M3...from here on out I don't look at those cars the same ever again. They look like cheap Iranian made Pride vehicles to me now.

    Just had my third visit for service and pleased again with the attention to my service needs and that of service advisor David Guerrero. I’m always kept updated and well informed of service performed on my car and made aware of other things to monitor. I had issue that required a software update and David, along with technician Jules, took the time to validate the update with me and troubleshoot an issue that still persists. The attention to customer service is very well appreciated.

  • NO star is what they deserve

    I have been a loyal customer since 2009, only had 2 service people in all those years, BMW has dropped the ball bigtime. From the service personnel to management, horrible. I brought my vehicle in for service on April 30, 2022, 8:00 AM, for more work after spending $4,000.00, 2 months prior. Ok go back for more work and received a rental vehicle. The rental was hit at my job and information was left with security. I contacted BMW, gave all the info to the supervisor Anna, and my insurance info. I went out of town, they called me all day, every day, asking for me when I was returning so that i could Pay out of my Pocket for their rental vehicle. Supervisor Anna, refused to take calls from the parties insurance stating that they wanted the money from me or they would not return my vehicle. I had to contact the manager across the street to come and handle the situation. The insurance was on speaker the entire time, telling her that they accepted all responsibility. So, they called me back stating they wanted to help resolve this issue. So, I go back, like a fool, and was asked by the great customer service guy, "Would my full coverage insurance cover the cost of a 2020 BMW? I said, " What?' He stated, "this was a very expensive vehicle, I need to know if your insurance will pay fully? I replied," GIVE ME MY KEYS"!!! and I left. I will never go to this location ever again. I felt discriminated against and that is unacceptable.

    We always make service appointments with David, he is the best! He is very thorough in service explanations. Everyone here is timely, kind, and transparent. You’ll even receive a progress video along the way. They will bring you wherever you need to go if your service will be a while. If you choose to stay, the waiting room is clean and filled with snacks and luxury magazines to keep you entertained during your wait. Go to Advantage BMW, you won’t regret it!!

  • Lack of Communication

    The actual work done on the car is always well done, the estimates for repairs are accurate, and the waiting area is comfortable. That said, repair turnaround is habitually *slow,* and service representatives consistently do not proactively communicate or respond to inquiries about the progress of repairs. Four hours after learning that repairs would take longer than expected and after two attempts to get an update via text, I had to walk downstairs to the service rep's desk to ask him in person for an update. I then had to wait for him to go talk to the mechanics. After 8 hours of waiting upstairs, they consented to giving me a loner vehicle and was told my vehicle would be ready the next morning. The next morning, I received a text indicating that they had to order a part, In spite of being told yet again that the vehicle would be ready the following morning, I received *zero communication from the service rep/text system for the next 52 hours, which meant my vehicle was held over the weekend. Just before noon on the following Monday, the rep texted indicating I could pick up my car. If the mechanics are backed up or there's a staffing issue, the appointment scheduler needs to book fewer appointments per day. The repair time is AWFUL. Regardless, there is no excuse for a lack of communication. If service reps are too busy to keep customers in the loop about repairs, BMW needs to implement a system where we can view/receive updates through an app. If they can do it in the waiting rooms for surgeries, they can do it in a shop. I've tried to rationalize each experience I've had like this as a "one-off" and give them the benefit of the doubt, but now that this has happened with 3+ representatives, multiple times each, I can't rationalize it away anymore. Something's got to change.
