  • Misleading

    GMC has a known issue, I told them what the issue was and they still wanted to diagnose themselves (I get it) so asked me to drop it off for the day. Never did she mention it was $180 fee. When the repair quote came back over $1000 for a bad micro switch (which is a gmc issue) I told them I didn’t want to spend that much so they were going to charge me a diagnostic fee for something I already knew was wrong. So instead of wasting more money and living over an hour and half away so I’d waste 6 hours of driving had them fix it. Very disappointed in GMC and extremely disappointed in Glen Polk for being misleading. We have bought at least 10 vehicles as a family and as a small business the last several years and we will no longer consider doing business as a family or as a business with them any longer.
    • The service manager Corey Brown reached out to me. He was genuinely concerned with my experience and took the time to listen and did what he could to make the situation right. Where as the GMC issue was never Glenn Polks fault Corey did enough to make me feel heard and I am confident he will take my concerns to help improve the service and over all customer experience.

    Service was quick to get the truck in and diag the issues. No trouble was found except poor quality def so I paid the diag fee and left. The service manager was honest and easy to get ahold of.

    This was the first time a vehicle stumped me to the point of needing a shop. I reluctantly dropped my wife’s 18 suburban off. The young lady behind the service counter was awesome. She assured me that I would be taken care of and the service techs were top notch. She was correct. I had missed a small issue that was causing my big issues on the truck. They didn’t try to pull any stunts. Or sell me unnecessary parts/service. With diagnostics and repair I was out for under $400. Obviously your issues will vary. But they did me solid and got me back on my way in 24hrs. I will be back if I ever need help again.

    Had an engine break down on the interstate on the way to south Texas. Got ahold of the service department just before they closed, and they were super supportive. The very next morning right when they opened, they got their techs on it and had it fixed and out the door within a couple hours. Their techs knew their stuff and explained everything that happened and why it happened. Great support and great service. Highly recommended!!

    I bought my truck here and I’ve been getting it serviced at the same location since I bought it. I’ve enjoyed the level of detail the conversations and the assistance with helping me identify what would be something I should look into for my vehicle for a longevity.

    On April 4, I called and made an appointment for an oil/filter change and tire rotation for April 11. My schedule was accommodated. My requested service was done efficiently and effectively. I enjoyed my interaction with all dealership personnel. They treated me as if I were family!

    I made an appointment for 90K mile recommended maintenance for my 2014 GMC Sierra plus I ordered a specific set of tires for it. Not only was my work order completed as I requested, your eagle-eyed technician noticed a worn/rattling sway bar link and replaced it and its twin. I don't want to guess what that failure might have caused. In my view, I was treated like a member of the family! Thanks.

    I used the service department at Glenn Polk GMC in Gainesville, Texas for some routine service for my pickup truck. They did an excellent job. In addition to my regular service they performed three recall issues on my truck. I highly recommend this dealership.

    I bought my truck at Glenn Polk and had a good experience, but the Service had not met my expectations. The wait for a “loaner” car is over 4 weeks (What ?)! I had to call myself (multiple times, over multiple days) to get the status on my car, rather than a proactive call from them. The work they did was great, but I expect better service.
    • I totally agree and will get with everyone involved. Thank you for letting me know. Communication is soooooooo important, and I apologize that we failed. This really is out of character for that service team, but it does happen occasionally. I will address and please don't give up on us.

    I've owned my 2016 GMC for about 3 years now. In that 3 years, all but 1 service appointments have been managed by the Glenn Polk Chevy Buick GMC service center. Today the car continues to run flawlessly at 120k+ miles. The one oil change, NOT done by Glenn Polk, but by an out of town quick lube shop closed the hood on a dissasebled air intake. From the mechanics in the shop to the receptionists in the office this place has never let me down and has taken excellent care of my car. Life has been a lot like NASCAR lately so I don't have time to do my own work, that's why I pit at Glenn Polk GMC.
