Do not do business with David McDavid Lincoln
by Baebae H on 03/11/2025Very poor communications with this dealership. We wired the full amount to the dealership and it took weeks to get our car after constant calls and text. During this time, we could never get confirmation that they received our wire.… Finally the Transport company hired by David McDavid suggested we meet at the local Walmart to deliver our new car and pick up our trade in. He delivered our car and we gave the transport company the trade in. 5 days later a local tow company came to my office saying he had just towed my car from Walmart parking lot. The keys were on the front seat and the car was unlocked. What a mess!!!2013 Lincoln MKS Purchase

by Patricia on 09/08/2023I had the best time with Chad and Richie at the dealership. I had to drive 3 hours from a different city to get there, but it was worth it. They had the exact car I wanted and they made everything as stress free as they could, considering… the heat we were having. Chad realizes that Lincolns are expensive and he made sure he made us comfortable in every way with our new buy. Richie, the finance manager was so much fun and he made sure we understood everything we needed, and made sure I was physically comfortable, since I was in a cast for a broken tibia. Chad helped get out car on our car trailer in the heat and get it all strapped down and safe, along with followup afterwards. My New 2023 Nautilus

We didn’t notice it wasn’t available until we got home with the new car. The dealer did… say they were looking for a car for us with the option we wanted. False advertising and/or Bait and Switch
by AJ on 07/17/2022I scheduled a test drive of a Certified Pre-Owned 2019 Lincoln Navigator Reserve and they mentioned that they had a 2018 Navigator Select as well. I mentioned that I could view both. I was given a text message confirming both vehicles are… ready for me to test drive. When I got to the appointment, they had a 2018 Lincoln Navigator Select for me to see but they didn't have the 2019 Lincoln Navigator Reserve at the dealership. They said the GM liked to drive it and he took it out and was an hour away. I was very disappointed as I drive 30 minutes to get to the dealership. I rescheduled to test drive 2 days later. Two days later I did test drive the vehicle and decided to purchase. After finalizing the price, I began filling out the Lincoln Financial Loan Application. When almost done with the application, the sales manager tells me that the vehicle is not Certified Pre-Owned and that they would have to have the service department take a look at the vehicle to Certify it and that they would call me tomorrow. I replied that it is listed as Certified Pre-Owned on 2 separate websites. They said that it was a mistake. I said ok, please call me tomorrow. I have not received a phone call and they have not replied to any of my text messages. Steer clear of this dealership. Seems like they were false advertising and/or going to a bait and switch.Abraham, we're so sorry to hear that you had this experience with our sales department. by TillmanTwins on 12/04/2015I recently went to David McDavid's Lincoln in Plano to purchase a vehicle I found through my insurance company's car buying service. I had narrowed the search down to my top five vehicles and this one was going to be the first one I looked… at. Unfortunately, I called one day after that vehicle was sold. But the Sales Rep (Mr. James) was very optimistic that he would have another vehicle that could fill my needs. The very next day, my husband and I went to the dealership, was pleasantly greeted by Mr. James, and he went right to work with us. I am all about business and Mr. James did an awesome job walking us through various options, not wasting time on vehicles that did not suit my needs or exceed my budget. He answered all of my questions then gave my husband and I the space we needed to talk privately. Needless to say, 3 hours later, I drove out of the lot with a vehicle better than the one I originally saw, and it was less expensive. I didn't even bother to go look at the other four vehicles in my top five. (I'd never done that before) I can be a demanding customer, but Mr. James was patient, understanding, and very pleasant to talk to. I was overwhelming pleased with the entire experience and I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a vehicle.Mercury Mariner Purchase

My salesperson, Brenda S.was very helpful and provided good communication and follow up. Pricing was very fair and… reasonable. Since I was located 300 miles away and unable to view the vehicle in person, more photos of the vehicle would have helpful, but otherwise, I had a very smooth and easy purchase. Transport from the airport was a nice service.Disappointing and untrustworthy.
by Madi1974 on 09/11/2015After spending a few months talking to someone in Sales, explaining my dislike of the car-buying process, explaining the problems I had with buying my previous Lincoln, I gave this dealership a shot. I told him that I was shocked that in… my previous experience a dealer had dropped over $100 a month in payments during a bidding war and that I was already distrusting of car sales people. The gentleman at David McDavid assured me I was in good hands this time around, that no one can beat their prices because they do so much volume. The time came to get a new car and he gave me his price. My gut told me something was not right, so I checked with another dealer. David McDavid of Plano was over $4000 more over the life of the 3 year lease. I was floored. And you know what? The guy had the nerve to come back and offer me a better price than I got at the other dealership. Why didn't you just give it to me in the first place? Car buying should not be a game to see who you can milk for the most money, even if you are a luxury car dealership. I felt cheated and I will never trust these people again. He knew I was a smart consumer, that I did my homework and he still did this. I went with the other dealership who gave me a much better price without having to negotiate and I will never look back.
