Could have been much better

I will say be aware the price they post is different when you Actually buy.. I got there and was planned to pay 13745 for my… car plus TT&l they said they had to charge 1500 dollars for reconditioning which was not included in the price. Very misleading.... be awareWe never want a customer to feel as though we aren't doing everything in our power to honor a price. Pretty good dealership

There was a bit of a misunderstanding at the beginning but it was sorted out quickly and I was on the road very shortly afterwards. Definitely treated me better than other… dealerships in the Dallas/Ft Worth area had done.We appreciate you taking the time to leave us a positive review!

Poor communication and service
by Chemmeline on 08/18/2019Although I am extremely happy with my car, the level of service I recieved from Vandergriff Hyundai was very poor. My car had a minor issue that needed to be fixed. i realized the USB port didnt work the day after I bought it. I called 2… times and emailed to get it fixed with no response either time. Then I recieved an email from the GM requesting positive feedback on the survey. He asked me to reach out to him if I needed anything. problem was, there was no contact info in the email. when I replied to the email, it was automated and returned to me. I was able to do research online to get his info. Long story short, I have made 5 trips to the dealership and it's been over a week. my car still isnt fixed, I cannot get any ETA on when my it will be fixed and I only receive updates if I reach out first. oh, and they lost my keys somehow. Beware of this dealership. Once the ink dried on the check they do not do anything to provide quality service or drive loyalty. And I also never recieved a link for a survey. I guess when they know they screwed up they remove your email from the database.On behalf of our team, I sincerely apologize that you had an unpleasant experience. Buyers Beware
by Rolando on 02/19/2019BUYERS BEWARE!!! My wife and I spent 4 days trying to work this dealership. I inquired about a Red 2019 Santa Fe SEL and Lily a sales rep said they have one available on their lot. Drove 2 hours on a Saturday to the dealership only to find… out it’s wasn't ready yet because it was missing a gas cover. Lily said if we do the paper work now they can order the part and have it installed in two days. This is where things starting going in a downward spiral. During our credit application process the financial director asks my wife if she has a work permit or if she’s a DACA recipient. We told him that she’s a US Citizen born here in Texas. He laughed about it and didn’t even apologize to her for his assumption. He just said to send him copies of her social security card and they will attach it to the application. Then after we completed all the paper work I saw that they “Bait and Switch” us with another Santa Fe from a different dealership plus they tried charging us $2,000 more than what was listed on their website. So on Monday I confronted the manager Hector about the switch and he said yes they had to order the SUV from a different dealership because they couldn’t sell me the one they had. We waited two hours for them to fix our paper work and they were only able to give us a price that was a few hundred dollars more than their online price. They said they weren’t able to match it because they would lose out on money and they had to pay for transport fees. So we settled on it because we didn’t want to spend our whole Monday at the dealership and they would let us know when our SUV would be ready. Two more days went by and still no word from the dealership so I reached out to Hector and he said it was ready for me to pick it up. When I got to the dealership Hector told me for my “troubles” that would send us a $200.00 gift card and it would be mailed to us. A month went by and still no gift card. Hector reach out to me asking if I could complete a survey with “perfect responses in order for us to pass” which was odd because the whole car buying experience was nothing but a hassle. I told him I never received a survey or the $200.00. Hector said he will request the $200.00 through their account office and resend the survey. Another month went by and still no survey or gift card. So I reached out to Hector again and he said because I didn’t complete the survey they cannot honor the $200.00. I told him I never received a survey and they should still honor us the $200.00 for all the hassle and trouble they put me and why wife through. He said he would see what he can do to accommodate but haven’t heard from him since and that was back on November 14, 2018. All this dealership really cares about is making a sale and trying to charge you the most they possibly can instead of trying to build honest relationships with customers. I will definitely never come back to this dealership again and I will be sure to let everybody know to stay away from all Vandergriff dealerships.Thank you for taking the time to bring this negative experience to our attention. Best Car Buying Experience EVER!!

I decided to expand my search and discovers Vandergriff Hyundai in Arlington. One phone call to get financed over the phone,… one phone call to come pickup the car and I was in and out of the dealership in 35 minutes with my new car. The sales associate Robert Stone was very nice, helpful and throughly explained the features on the Elantra. I thought it would be an all… day affair but it only took 3 hrs. Twice they asked me for the make, model and color of the car I wanted to check to see if it was still in their inventory and twice they… assured me that it was there. After driving 45 minutes from my home to their dealership to look at the car that I wanted, I found out that they had lied to me and had sold the car the day before. I then realized that they had tricked me into coming to try and persuade me to buy a different, more expensive car. Not only was that car way out of my budget, they had not yet cleaned it, so it was filled with trash and leftover fast food wrappers. Then, the manager interrogated me on why I wasn't interested in the car. I was very disappointed in the way I was treated and displeased that they lied to me! I do not recommend that you go to this dealership because it is very unlikely that they are being truthful and actually have the car that you want.Poor customer service
by DianeH610 on 09/09/2016Whenever we take our 2001 Sonata in for service, it always takes at least 2 days to be completed. We needed a part and were told they would call when it came in. Never got the call and when we called them, they didn't know what we were… talking about! And on top of that, with the slow turnaround time, they don't provide loaner vehicles, only shuttle service back home! So, I guess people aren't supposed to be able to go to work, or worse yet, bear the added expense of a rental?? Just awful on their part. Their sister dealership, Vandergriff Chevrolet, next door, does provide loaners!Dont Waste Your Time with these people!

I made the appointment to go pick it up and here is where it went bad. Of course the person I made an appointment with… was TOO busy for me, he was trying to sell to a walk in customer, even with about 4 or more salesman standing outside available he chose to blow off my appointment and sent me to someone who new NOTHING about the deal we made. She however di tell me my price promise vehicle was NOT available but after about 20 minutes she came back and told me she had a MUCH BETTER deal for me. Sure, and it would only cost me $ 989.00 MORE!!! At that point, I just got up and LEFT and will NEVER BE BACK. What a PATHETIC bunch of xxxxxx. They had me waste my time for NOTHING, and they KNEW the vehicle WAS NOT AVAILABLE when my appointment was made. PATHETIC~~~ Stay Away unless you like being lied too and passed off to someone else even thou YOU were the one that had the appointment, not the person you were trying to make another sale off of, he was just a walk up, but funny thing they had at least 4 or 5 salesman just standing outside like [non-permissible content removed] waiting. JUST PATHETIC! My advice is to STAY AWAY
