  • Terrible Purchasing Transaction

    I had a terrible experience purchasing a used vehicle at the Cochran Infinity dealer in Monroeville. On 2/2/2023, I went to the Cochran Infinity dealer in Monroeville and bought a used vehicle. I also bought an extended warranty. When I got home in the evening and looked over the paperwork, I noticed the sale price listed on the bill-of-sale was slightly higher than the advertised online price, which was the price I agreed to pay when I purchased the vehicle (Cochran has a no-haggle price policy). In addition, the deductible for the extended warranty was listed on the contract as $200 per visit and not $100 per visit as I was told by the finance manager when he sold me the warranty. So, the next morning (2/3/2023), I emailed both the sale consultant (who sold me the vehicle) and the finance manager (who did the paperwork) and pointed out the two mistakes. I did not hear back from either one for three days. So, on 2/6/2023, I called both the finance manager and the sale consultant and then follow-up with another email. I finally got an email back from the finance manager, basically admitting he made a mistake on the deductible for the extended warranty and saying he will fix the deductible on the extended warranty so that it will now cost $100 per visit and not $200 per visit. But he also denied that sale price on the bill-of-sale was wrong. I know I was right since I have screen shots of the online price on 2/2/2023. Looks like someone from the dealer updated the online price on 2/3/2023 after the vehicle was sold to me on 2/2/2023, to exactly match the bill-of-sale after I pointed out the mistake on the sale price a day earlier (I also have screen shots of the updated price after the vehicle has been sold a day earlier). Based on these two issues, I believe someone at the dealership intentionally try to do me wrong. I got so frustrated, I returned the vehicle back to the dealer on 2/6/2023. When I returned the vehicle back to the dealer, I was charged more than one hundred dollars for the paperwork, even though it was the dealership that done me wrong. Cochran advertises that they will take the vehicle back for any reason within 7 days, but they did not tell you that you will have to pay hundreds of dollars for fee. There were two issues with the transaction. 1) I believe the finance manager made a mistake on the sale price of the vehicle on the bill-of-sale. But instead of admitting he made a mistake, he updated the online sale price of the vehicle to exactly match the price on the bill-of-sale, one day after I already purchase the vehicle and one day after I pointed out the mistake. 2) I believe the mistake on the deductible ($200 per visit instead of $100 per visit) for the warranty was intentional. What if I didn’t discover this mistake? I would have to pay double for every repair visit after the sale for the duration of the warranty. Lastly, after the sale consultant sold me the vehicle, she gave me her business card and told me to call her anytime. She never response to my email or phone call after the purchase. I bought a used vehicle from Cochran before and still taking my vehicle to Cochran for services. So, I am very disappointed something like this could happen at such a reputable dealer.

    This location has a reputation for ignoring customers and treating them with little courtesy or respect. I don't know what was worse - the general confusion of the employees or the ridiculous haggling. I went in with what I thought would be a routine transaction that would be completed in a day. After 2 weeks of offensive offers and poor communication, I decided to take my business somewhere else. I will drive an hour to not deal with them again. If you are not willing to do that, I suggest another brand. I don't know how they stay in business.

    From stepping out of my vehicle into one of theirs. It was hands down the best car buying experience I have ever had. Mike S was my salesman and wonderful to deal with. Will the Manager runs a great establishment.

    Another great experience with Cochran Infiniti. This is my third Infiniti from them. Once again, Denny Patton was excellent along with Will Curtis and Bernie DiLoreto. They were exceptionally friendly, helpful and never pushy. I always used to hate buying a car, with all the haggling back and forth over prices. Now it is a quick, easy and enjoyable experience. Thanks again to everyone there. See you again in the future.

    Wow is the best word to describe the experience of Cochran Infiniti Monroeville. As an owner of a 2003 QX4 for 10 years and this dealership was the only place ever to maintain our car, there was no other vehicle we were interested in trading our well-loved and well-maintained QX. Bailie H's attention to our QX over those 10 years was incredible. She frequently made suggestions that not only saved us money; but also allowed us a sense of confidence in our aging vehicle. From the very start of the sales experience of the JX35, we were treated like royalty. Steve P "super salesman" made us comfortable with the purchase / lease. His knowledge of this vehicle was incredible. He went over EVERYTHING and there is a lot to learn about the technology in this vehicle. Heyward P helped make the "sign on the line" seem less painful. Haven't had a car payment in a long time but we know this vehicle will last us another 10 years. So if you are looking for incredible service all the way around ... Cochran Infiniti of Monroeville is the place to go. I love my new Infiniti JX35.

    My husband and I purchased a 2013 JX35 and couldn't be happier with it! Our salesman Bernie D did a great job of explaining everything and he didn't pressure us. That was greatly appreciated. Although the amount of technology this vehicle has is daunting, we are sure that with Bernies' help, we will master it.

    Stopped in for a test drive of a QX 50 at Cochran Infiniti in Wexford. The salesperson, Brandon, was very helpful. We discussed trade-in value and pricing and we told him we were going to look at other brands, which we did. We stopped back later that day and bought the QX50. They were very accommodating on our trade-in value and in pricing the vehicle. All in all, it was an enjoyable experience and I love the car. I would not hesitate to recommend Cochran Infiniti of Wexford.

    We purchased the Q50 because we loved our G35X so much. When we purchased the Q50 in early October 2013, we knew there were issues with the computer system. The salesperson told us that there would be a fix in November and we would be contacted. During October and November, we experienced a range of issues with the navigation system and one touch system. We had to reboot the system almost every time we drove the car. We were not contacted for the fix in November or December and we started to experience many steering issues. My wife contacted the Pittsburgh Infiniti dealer and was told that there was no fix available at this time, it was suggested that she contact the corporate office for clarification. Corporate said that there was no fix, but that our Q50 had been identified for a recall. We found the recall information on the internet and the shocking part was that the NHTSA said not to drive the car until it is fixed. We also found out that corporate knew of the steering issue since November 2013, but never notified us. I guess they were waiting for someone to be killed by the steering problem before taking action. After many calls to the Pittsburgh Infiniti dealer and corporate office, we found that no one wanted to take responsibility for the problem. It was not until we went to the dealer with the car that they agreed to fix the problem and suddenly the fix was available. I will most likely never buy another Infiniti and I can only recommend that everyone stay away from the Infiniti Q-series.

    Wow! What a difference a day makes. Shawn has been great. I understood I couldn't get every little thing taken care of, but he gave me a fair offer and I am more than satisfied with it. I was at my wits end with this and Shawn and Leslie pulled it out for me in the clutch. I would wholeheartedly recommend this dealership if Shawn and Leslie were working the front line. Thanks again guys.

    Beginning with my initial contact with Rebecca in customer care, to Heywood, the sales manager, then Jeff in sales and Joyce in finance the whole process was seamless and professional. They worked as a team and made you feel like at home. The numbers were good. The information shared was great and the paperwork was easy. Jeff explained every detail of the vehicle and Joyce was thorough but expedient. Individuals like this are an asset to Cochran Infiniti of Monroeville. I was also impressed with the vehicle - a 2013 G37 Coupe and with Infiniti's after purchase program features. Then I received a follow-up e-mail from Rebecca who informs me she will be staying in touch and that I should contact her for any and all questions or problems. Great car, great company and great staff.

    I went in to have my 2011 QX56 serviced and the service advisor Greg M had my loaner car ready to go. He took me right in with no wait. I decided to look at the new QX80 and he had Bernie D talk to me. Bernie was absolutely great to deal with. We discussed the possibility of trading my QX56 for the new QX80 we sat down with the sales manager Jim Q. We ended up putting a deal together and within a few hours I drove off with a brand new 2014 QX80. I was treated with complete respect and care and I feel they put a very fair deal together.     I did the initial contact via internet and came in to find the Infiniti G37 was actually a demo, not brand new as had been indicated by the initial email. I had thought that the price was too good to be true. They honored the price on a brand new car even though they had to go pick it up from a dealer 5 hours away. The salesman sat in the car with my wife for well over an hour teaching her about all the bells and whistles and syncing her phone and garage door opener. They never tried to upsell me and it turned out to be the quickest car transaction i have experienced in 35 years. To top it off for servicing they will pick up and leave a car for my wife to drive until they return her car. Yes, I am very impressed.

    Steve P. and Shawn K. made the buying experience quick and painless. While the paperwork was being completed, Steve knowledgeably detailed all the vehicle amenities and functions. After-sale service quality at Infiniti dealers surpasses any I've dealt with in the past.
