    I am very satisfied that the technicians at Subaru of Kings Auto Mall were able to detect and repair a problem with an oil leak. The car was out of warranty but service advisor Tanner V. coordinated with Subaru Customer Advocacy to cover 70% of the cost. A loaner car was provided for no charge.

    When they changed the oil in my 2015 subaru outback the service representative told me that the oil pan is leaking and it must be replaced. He also told me that the brake fluid was dirty and must to be replaced. He offered to complete the service at that time. It was 4 PM and I did not have time for that service to be completed at that time. Because he mentioned that the oil pan must be replaced, I assumed that the service must be performed as soon as possible. I drove the car home and did not drive it until I had time to take it for oil pan replacement. I made an appointment and took the car for service. When the service was completed I found that the oil was leaking from the oil pan gasket and there was no need for replacing the oil pan. When I came home I consulted with the technician who takes care of my other car. He inspected the car and told me that the gasket leak must have been very minor and it needed to be replaced but there was no urgency in doing it immediately. He also mentioned that newer cars seldom (if ever) need to have their brake fluid replaced. All and all I feel they should have told me that the gasket had to be replaced not the oil pan and changing the brake fluid was optional.

    I have been going to Kings for service for 4 years. EVERY time they earn a rating of 5. Great personnel and great service. I worked with Jacob this time and he was very informative and knowledgeable.

  • LEMON 2014 Outback

    I bought a 2014 Outback and had repeated problems with random acceleration. For 2-1/2 years, I fought this problem and repeatedly brought the car back to this dealer. They hardly drove it so they said they could not reproduce the problem. I had at least 10 instances of this recorded on a GoPro camera. There were several parties involved in this process, all in joint denial mode: - Subaru Corporate Safety - Linda Fouch - Kings Subaru - GM - Darrell Russell - Kings Subaru - Svc. Mgr. - Chris Moore - Bosch 3rd party inspector - Tom Muthig Finally, I gave up. I am driving another Subaru now, a good one that I am confident will not kill me like the goddam lemon that you [non-permissible content removed] at Kings Subaru refused to acknowledge. Incidentally, this is on record with the NHTSB under Case No. 11004884. Subaru makes great cars. I just got a LEMON - and the dealer/Subaru stuck their heads in the sand.
