Amazing On-Line Sales Experience
by jeffwg12 on 07/13/2012updated 06/03/2025I live in SW VA. and was in the market for a used VW Tiguan. Couldn't find one in SW VA. nor NE TN. I searched the internet and found VW of Hickory. They had just what I was looking for, a 2010 VW Tiguan SEL, certified pre-owned and low… milage at a very reasonable price. I contacted Paramount VW the morning of Friday July 6th and within a few minutes I was contacted by Josh Williams. I described my trade in. After a few emails with photos of my trades and just a few hours later we made a no haggle deal. So easy and no pressure. Josh advised that he would have the vehicle delivered to me at no cost and pickup my trades. I was contacted by Josh on Monday July 9th and they were ready to make delivery. The VW Tiguan was delivered Monday afternoon and my trades were picked up by the two drivers. It couldn't have been any smoother. Great experience and would recommend Paramount and Josh Williams to anyone looking for a great vehicle and a hassle free on-line experience !Exceptional Experience

And to share it on Edmunds.com because I relied on comments there to make my recent purchase. When I… decided to look for a new car after 11 years and 190,000 miles on my current, trusted car, I needed good information, a good driving experience and a dealer to help me reach my goal of buying another great car for the next 10 years. I made a list of the 9 best fuel consumption cars, then test drove them at different dealers. I even drove the same model car at different dealerships to find the best deal and a dealership that I trusted to return to for maintenance and service. The test drives were the easier part of this process and the best car for me defined itself. I easily chose the VW Jetta TDI, 6 speed manual transmission. The dealer experience was less fun, actually better defined as dreadful: Pressure, way too many sales people coming into the sale to add more pressure; Haggling that was irritating at best and insinuated that I am a very unsavvy buyer; A touch of chauvinism as I am a female buyer; Sales people that dont know basics about their products. Until I went to Paramount VW in Hickory, NC. As a woman, I sensed a peacefulness just walking into the Paramount dealership. I met my salesman, Josh, and explained my search process to him, as I did with every salesman I encountered. He was friendly and respectful. The test drive experience was defining on my decision to buy a Jetta TDI. Josh knew his cars and he was tuned in to my wants in a car and driving experience. We returned to the showroom and quickly talked price. Josh introduced me to his manager and within a few moments, I was presented with a price for the car! No pressure, no haggling!. It was the best sales experience and the best price I encountered. I told Josh I would return the next day with my husband, which I did, and found the price even better. I bought the car and went home a very happy customer. As a woman and as a buyer, I highly recommend Paramount VW to everyone looking for a great product and a dealership that serves with integrity, professionalism and trustworthiness.Pleased with my purchase experience with my new 2012 Jetta SEL premium!
by pleased2012 on 08/02/2012updated 06/03/2025For the past 8 weeks, I have been agonizing over purchasing a new vehichle. My interests were in the VW family and or Toyota Camry. I kept leaning toward VW but found that my local dealer (Keffer) was not very receptive and absolutely did… not provide 'good' customer service. I visited the dealer several times and gave them several opportunities to no avail. (the finance end was the pain) I had emailed Josh from Paramount a few weeks earlier and was immediately given an excellent out the door quote on a vehicle that had my interest. Although he gave me an excellent quote, I still did not make the drive to Hickory. Several weeks later after exhausting research and visits to several Charlotte dealers, I again looked online at Paramount and saw several cars that I was interested in. Josh immediately responded to my email and called me to give me an excellent incentive to come in. I chose to go this time and am so glad that I did! He was very patient with me as I chosewhich car I liked and upon selection, the finance end was pain-free! They gave me an excellent deal and even threw in window tint! Everyone there was efficient and so nice to talk to. We even talked to the service manager about VW servicing and felt reassured that we were getting the best car for me. I would highly recommend the sales department at Paramount VW!VW Passat Purchase

Caleb was very helpful and knowledgeable about the car i wanted to purchase . When i arrived at the dealership… the car i wanted was already for me to test drive .. We've worked with the same Sales Consultant each time, Rick C. He and the dealership are always professional,… quick to answer all of our questions and honest about all financial terms. We've been very happy with each purchase and the service and folllow up we've received. I could not give them a higher recommendation.Don't waste your time

A salesperson promptly responded next morning with their name and dealer name (impressed) but alas it was a sales pitch for the dealer with we have the best... and did not contain a quote.… A inventory search revealed they don't have any.Easier to ignore customer rather than address his questions.
by cycleman3 on 03/14/2014updated 06/03/2025Well, I now know they read these comments. After my evaluation I did get a phone call from the salesman on a Friday. The next Monday Bobby (sales/service???)called and we went over all my concerns. He apologized, and took the time to find… out what went wrong. He fixed the log-in problem I had. He found out about the carrier costs, the problem I had with insurance licensing and the difference in mileage on my title. As with any dealership, there are bound to be people mistakes. I just happen to be a very literal person and there seemed to be a lot of questions I needed answered. He followed through on all of my concerns. By him taking the time, calling me, listening to me and calling me back when he got the answers I do feel the dealership does care about the customer and wants to make right any problems the customer has. I now feel there was no intention on their part to "blow me off" after selling me the car, as I first thought, and would recommend this dealership. If you have a problem, and the right person is informed, I am sure they will do whatever they can to keep you a happy customer.We do appreciate that you have updated your feedback about your recent experience with our dealership. I sincerely apologize for the initial difficulties you experienced getting your new vehicle but I'm relieved to hear that things have been smoothed over by Bobby. It is imperative to us that we make the car-buying experience as seamless and efficient as possible from the initial negotiations to the final delivery. Best dealership experience

I changed my mind and wanted a GTI, despite this change they took it and found the perfect… car again for me the next day. They gave me the GTI at a deal that the local VW dealership couldn't even touch. I am in Abingdon, VA and Paramount is in Hickory, NC. I agreed on the payment terms and the car was hand delivered to me at my work! Keep in mind, my place of work is over 100 miles from the dealership!!No delivery charges anything. The service I recieved was the best automotive experience I have ever had. I work in customer service and I know the value of hospitality and doing whatever it takes to meet your customers needs. They definately will have me as a customer in the future!Purchase of a used car

My wife and I drove from the Atlanta, GA area to take a look at the car. Josh stayed in contact as we made the trip and was waiting out front to… greet us when we arrived. The car was even better than described and it was a pleasure to do business with Josh. He is friendly and positive and I feel he can put anyone at ease. Even though, this car was not from the line of vehicles the dealership sales, It was clear he had done some research and was knowledgeable.
