  • Not honest about vehicle accidents

    The 2019 Ford Explorer this dealer is selling is posted as "no reported accidents" because they did not report it HAS been in an accident. I see this has occurred before so something is rotten in Denmark. I would avoid these guys. Frankly I have had bad experiences with other Capitol Ford Dealerships in North Carolina. I'm not convinced they would have told me ever that it was wrecked. Luckly I asked.

    Good experience, not pushy and didn’t have to jump through a hoop to take a test drive, in and out in a hour, had a small issue that was taken care of promptly to make sure I was happy with the car and the service.

  • Sold me a vehicle without disclosing a serious accident

    I purchased a certified Pre-owned 2014 Mustang with 4,000 miles, one owner, no accident, very clean car! What I got was a 2014 mustang that had an accident reported with another vehicle, side airbag deployed, vehicle deemed not derivable, severe damage reported. And the only way i found this out was when I went to trade the car into another dealer a year later. And they told me the car is worth half of what I paid for it even tho I've only put on 10,000 miles on the vehicle. They went out of their way to lie to me and to make sure the vehicle was officially in my hands that they brought the vehicle that same Saturday evening at 9pm all the way to my house in Asheville NC which is two hours away, and demanded the down payment immediately. Even though the dealership agreed to keep it on the lot for me till Monday. Now I have been trying to keep contact with Kirk - Used car manager. But after a week of giving me the runaround, according to him the only thing he CAN offer me is a maintenance plan. Capitol Ford you lied to my face. You made sure this car was off your lot ASAP. And then lied about knowing of the accident, and now you're offering me a service plan, which means you admit to the mess up you made. DO NOT do business with these people. I asked for a compensation after loosing at least $12,000 in value due to your lies and I basically was told to go screw myself. This will be posted all over the web and shared with the news channels as well. Also you will be receiving a letter from my lawyer this week unless we can come to a HONEST and REALISTIC compensation agreement on making this right.
    • Alex, thank you for the feedback regarding your 2014 Mustang that was purchased from us in September of 2014. While we understand your current frustration, we are discouraged that we are just now hearing about any issues with the vehicle 2 years later and 4 months after you traded it in elsewhere. The Mustang that you purchased had been traded in to us only 3 weeks prior to you taking delivery. The customer who traded it in signed off as having no damage. At that time, the vehicle also reported a clean Carfax. We can now see the Carfax report was updated the same day as the delivery was made. Unfortunately, we are left with little options since you traded the vehicle with another dealership as of May 2016. We could have worked something out if you had contacted us prior to last week and before you traded the vehicle in 4 months ago. In an effort to put our best foot forward, we offered you a maintenance plan on the vehicle you currently own that was purchased elsewhere. We wish this situation had been brought to our attention earlier as it would have provided us with more options. Our top priority is to provide our customers with the highest level of service.     AJ and the team gave me excellent service. I came in with my guard up.and the had me smiling at the end. I have never been treated so good at a dealership. They made me feel like my credit score was 800. I would seen my friend and family to capital ford. Thanks for everything

    I purchased a 2015 ford Fiesta from Matt white. He went above and beyond what he needed to do to help me into a car. he kept me in the loop the entire time and was not pushy or trying to up sell anything over what I could afford. when I do go to upgrade my vehicle, I'll be sure to call him first. thanks Matt!

    It was wonderful services test drove the car credit was straight put my money down signed papers got tag I was out the door thank you Ford I love the fusion I watched a lot of family feud with Steve Harvey enough said 😁

    The staff was very helpful. Someone else needs to be trained on what needs to be done when you are buying extended warranty. One person is trained and he was off. Now we have to come back to have this completed in the service dept. The person selling the warranty was great.

    We were treated like special people from the start of the car buying process until the finish. Everyone was super nice and helpful with regards to all our questions and concerns. We love our 2013 pre-owned Ford Escape. It is everything we wanted in a small SUV.

    Good people. Salesman. Finance. Etc. Deal was as discussed. No slick moves. Facility needs work. It's old and without the conveniences expected at a dealership. My extremely positive experience is waning due to the fact that I'm still owed $5k and seen no closer after chasing it several times.

    Isn't very thankful and Excellent about my new car. It's been 16 years since I ever bought car. And the funny thing is 16 years ago I bought my last car at this same dealership. I love my car!

    i was looking for a short box reg cab truck. i came to CAPITAL and they were able to locate me exactly the truck i wanted. within a short time the truck arrived, i looked it over agreed on a fantastic price, and was driving home just a short time later. John Arthur the finance manager was fantastic he explained everything in full detail to where there were no questions. i got a very favorable percentage rate. and my payments were less than expected. The entire staff was very helpful and courteous. I've never had a better experience buying a car.
