Terrible Service
by Disappointed on 03/12/2022Took our 2017 Honda CR-V for oil change, tire rotation and NYS inspection today car has only 26,000 miles on it. Got a text from Babylon Honda stating the car needed additional work within 15 minutes of dropping it off. Called them up and… spoke to Steve Ferchak, the service advisor, and he stated they heard squealing coming from brakes and in order to pass inspection we need a $300 front brake job. We never heard the brakes squealing and never felt that brake pedal going down nor any issue with stopping the car. We told them not to do the the brakes and not do the inspection either. Steve informed since his paperwork said do inspection we had to pay for and that we failed the inspection do to front brakes being worn out. He told us if we didn’t pay they wouldn’t release the car back to us even though they didn’t do the inspection. We have a regular mechanic that we use for all repairs and took the car to him. He told us the brakes were low and shouldn’t have caused an inspection failure, he also said Honda should have provided a failure notice from NYS inspection stating the car failed. We were not given that by Honda service. Basically Babylon Honda Service tried to rip us off for two inspections and a $300 brake job that our mechanic said should be around $200 dollars. Of course, different services stations have different hourly rates. The bottom line is we didn’t need a brake job and had to pay for 2 inspections. Babylon Honda is just trying to rip off customers. Will never go back to Babylon Honda for service of our cars and wouldn’t recommend them, as they are going to rip you off. One additional point: since 2011, all Honda CR-V come from the factory with fully synthetic oil. When we looked at our receipt, Babylon Honda replaced the oil with regular non synthetic oil. One would think they would replace with the mfg recommended oil. Now I need to look at replacing the oil since they put in the wrong oil. It will not harm the engine but it is the point that Babylon Honda is not replacing the car with the correct type of oil.Exceptional service!

I live in Queens and whenever my car needs service, whether it's an oil change or other maintenance, I gladly drive to Babylon Honda. I'm very happy to have… found a service center that I can trust. Whenever I need service, I call ahead and make sure Donna will be there. Not only is she very friendly and helpful, she is also very knowledgable and informs me about any recall issues that may coincide with my car. I appreciate her honesty and never feel as though I'm getting unnecessary work or fees added on to my visit. The maintanence is always completed thoroughly and in a timely manner. I truly feel like a valued and respected customer whenever I'm there. I would definitely recommend this service center to anyone. I have not been disappointed in anyway with the service I've received and am happy to continue bring my car here in the future. -NickRepair Failure
by Bgoode1 on 05/04/2016SRS warning light for airbag failure was reason for warranty repair. Technician only deleted code, never replaced faulty component. SRS warning light lit later that evening after I left Honda service dept. The SRS warning light is still… lit. From my experience Babylon Honda won't make a warranty repair that requires them to pay for parts. If you are interested in Honda find another dealer.keeping my passion berry fit fit
by ellenruth2015 on 10/22/2014I am new to Honda having been a happy Saturn owner through 2 cars and twenty years, If you knew that company you will understand how high a service level bar I was expecting. I did not think anyone could come close and was ready to accept… mediocre service as the norm. Well was I wrong. I have meet a great new service dealer. I called with a small issue that they were able to take care of and then when I got there they were able to answer all my small technical questions about the care of my new car. They were quick efficient and very knowledgable. I know my car will run well for many years to come with this kind of service support. I can not believe this level of service still exists.Proceed with caution w/ service department
by jj0103 on 03/11/2010Brought in my vehicle because my SRS light was on. They told me they would have to replace the entire computer ($700). Twice I asked if they reset the light to validate the computer needed to be replace and they said they had. I took my… vehicle to an independent 30 minutes later to verify what they were saying is true and he immidiately told me that SRS lights can come on as a result of low voltage (i.e. dead battery / bad alternator). I did have bad battery months ago and stupidly didn't make the connection. He reset the light and 8 days (and 600 miles) later no light. When I go to the manuacturer I expect the best service at a slight premium. What I don't expect is to be lied to or pushed to replace parts that may not need replacing. The right approach would have been charging me for the diagnostic, resetting the light and sending me on my way to return if and only if the light comes back on. When I confronted the service manager he had no interest in my case. I'm probably not the type of customer they want anyway as there are enough people that out there that don't question these scum bag tactics.Magicians Reside At Babylon Honda.
by kodachrome56 on 02/22/2008My new (at the time) 2006 Accord SE developed a strange harmonic engine noise/vibration. I had purchased it at Baron in Medford. It's a bit of a drive from Kings Park, so I took it in to Huntington Honda for a look. I believe it was on a… Friday and the Service manager said that they had given it a quick look and said it was the heat shield. Problem solved. No, problem still there on test drive. It went in again and I was told that the car needed brakes(not true) and I should return on Monday when one of the more "seasoned" techs would solve the mystery. Monday's inspection brought no new information about the problem. When I continued to press them (Manager and SuperTech) for a solution I was politely told to take the car to the original dealer. Next morning I drove to Baron and told them the tale of the mystery noise/vibration. They said, based on what I told them, that it would take a full day of inspections to determine the problem. I was given a ride home by one of their staff and promised a phone call. It came two days later. No solution because they could not find the problem. Maybe car poltergeist? A quick call to Honda headquarters in California led me to Babylon Honda. John McGuire, the Service Manager there, and the techs must be magicians who drink performance-enhancing coffee, because they alone were able to solve the mystery and fix it within minutes. There won't be any mystery about where I will bring the Accord for service in the future or where I will be buying my next Honda.OIL CHANGE
