Not transparent
by robinson6 on 04/14/2017I got an email from the dealer that they have a accord 2016 EXL at a good price.I reached out and visited the dealership.I met keith who was helpful ,i tried to bargain an little but couldn't make a deal as the manager wasn't willing to go… down anymore.I got an appointment the next day to get the car.I mentioned the first day and many times over phone that i have a preapproved DCU loan for 1.99% apr and i would go with that except if i get approved for 0.9% apr promotion by honda.I had good credit so i was hoping to get 0.9.The sales person erica contacted me and asked me to send some documents,she also sent me some links so that they can look at my credit and check for eligibility on 0.9 % apr.I sent all the details.By the time i reached the dealership i saw 3 credit checks on my account from chaseauto and other banks. Surprisingly i didn't find honda finance.I rushed to the sales guy asking him why they are trying to get me a loan from banks that i didnt ask for.he had no clue and rushed to the finance person. i followed him and hear him say "i will say that i don't have any idea".He saw me outside and took me to another employee. when i asked her why she is trying to get me a finance she said she was shopping for me to get the best rate.WHAT!!!.i was really pissed off at this point.She started telling me that all the check do not effect my credit.Why should they go for others when i asked for honda finance saying that i have a pre-approved DCU at 1.99.There was a huge drama and all she said was she wasnt informed about my interest in honda or my DCU pre-approval.She came back after an hour saying that i was rejected for honda which was frustrating,she was suggesting chaseauto for 4.49% apr.Victor was the only guy who talked sense and i left the dealership as it was late .He promised me that he would try to get me approved for honda, i asked keith if 2016 honda accord exl is brand new and if everything holds good.he assured me that that is brand new and i wont be loosing anything . Next day i got a call from victor saying that he got me approved.I went to the dealership the car wasnt cleaned properly.keith assured me to get it cleaned the next time i visit the dealership.How bad is this as the stains or whatever on the car would need some kind of a machine ? i was waiting for my papers to be ready and was curious about another accord,i asked for price .A sales guy cameup and told me the reduced price and gave me the heart breaking news that if we go with the car we would loose 2 years of warranty as it was a car from 2015.I wasnt aware of it .I immediately asked victor and a couple of other about my car and they didn't have an answer.They took me to some manager who was ready with my papers.He wasn't pleasant. I started signing some documents. I asked him about my warranty ,about credit checks etc.he told me that i would loose one year warranty .i asked why wasnt i informed until now and he didnt have an answer.he was sorry about anything that happened.He looked at my file and asked me why i had to all the way from 45 miles while i had another dealership there. i came too far and couldnt go back from that. i took the car and came back dissapointedThank you for taking the time to provide us with this feedback. Not what they seem
by cyberdog122 on 03/18/2017Was looking for a used Infiniti G35 with reasonable mileage and at a reasonable price when I came across a 2007 black Infiniti G35 at Tarrytown Honda. I inquired with the dealer to see if it was still available and was told that it was. I… applied for credit approval and after a few days of no communication from the dealer, I called to find out what was going on with my application. I was told that I needed $1500 more down on top of the $500 deposit that I had already given them. When I told them that I did not really want to do that they suggested I try applying with a cosigner which I did. Several days went by and again no contact from the dealer so again I called and was told I was accepted but their terms were totally rediculous. I was told that I had to come up with the additional $1500 and that my monthly payments would be $308 for 72 months. The InfinitiG35 was $11600 plus sales tax. $308 a month multiplied by 72 months is $22176 plus the $2000 down for a grand total of $24176. $24176 for a $11600 car to me is highway robbery! My credit isn't great but it wasn't terrible either but my interest rate was 35 or 36 %. I asked the dealer if they could work with me on the terms of the loan, specificly the monthly payment and/ or the length of the loan and was told ''No those are the terms, take it or leave it.'' They wouldn't work with me at all on the terms of the loan. So I declined the deal. In my experience of buying cars rarely have I had a dealer not work with me to help make a sale possible but Tarrytown Honda was one of those dealers. I have a hard time believing that the terms they gave me were the best that they could do. Did the fact that I was from out of state( Massachusetts) play a role? It turned out to be a total waste of my time..The outrageous/ non negotiable terms along with the lack of phone calls or emails from them left an unpleasant taste in my mouth and thus is the reason behind this review. Tarrytown Honda may have an excellent reputation/rating but you could've fooled me. Be careful if you deal with them, they are not what they seem.I am concerned by your review and would love the opportunity to address it for you. Nice dealer, terrible facility

by Ladymuah926 on 01/03/2017Warning warning warning!!! If I could give zero stars I would. Do not buy anything from these people. They are a bunch of [non-permissible content removed]. They have fake carfax vehicle reports online to try to get you to come in. When… you question them about it they already have lies ready. My car had a 3,000 mile difference from the carfax report that was updated just 6 weeks before and they tried to say it's because they drive the car a little to keep it warmed up. So in 6 weeks they drove the car 3,000 miles?! The sales woman Anissa is a nasty dishonest horrible woman. Avoid her if you can. I came to them 3 times during my first 3 months, twice in the first 6 weeks of having the car, because I was experiencing issues and every time they said there was nothing wrong with the car and turned me away. According to New York Lemon law they are required by law to fix any issues I have with the car at no charge. Clearly they didn't want to do this. They definitely played on the fact that I was a "little girl" who knows nothing about cars. As soon as 3 months passed then all of a sudden they wanted to acknowledge all the issues I was having with the car and charge ridiculous amounts. They are [non-permissible content removed]!! Do not go to them if you don't want to lose money. It is a shame that they have to treat customers the way they do.I am concerned by your review and would love the opportunity to address it for you. Honda in Tarrytown is the best

Ramon followed me around the parking lot and even though I didn't want to enter and give info, he was such a nice guy with a great smile, I chose to listen and view cars online. I am so happy with my new vehicle, I… feel like I hit the lottery. I would say Ramon's personality and honesty was what made me sign some papers. All the other staff were so awesome every time I came in to drop off something. I would say, Honda was really good to me because they worked with me when dealing with a small situation on my half. Tarrytown Honda has an excellent staff. We have bought our last 3… vehicles from this dealerships owner. In my opinion, his reputation and his staff are the best in the business. That would explain why we are returning customers. Our first contact was Charlene. Charlene was wonderful. Her knowledge, guidance, friendly manner, and professionalism was very reassuring. She made sure that all necessary paperwork was in order to assure a smooth transaction. Gary Testa was there finalize the deal--even coming to pick me up! He was very knowledgeable about the CRV and was able to provide detailed explanations of the equipment and accessories. To say that I was extremely satisfied would be an understatement. There are close to 6 other Honda dealerships that I could have gone to, but I choose Tarrytown because of our past experiences and their great service, staff, and approach to selling cars.You have been doing business with Tarrytown consistently and your review about us is truly appreciated.
