by Ben on 10/18/2019updated 10/25/2019My girlfriend & just purchased 2019 Honda HRV on lease. The process of getting the vehicle was harder than it needed to be. The salesmen told my girlfriend several times different things about the down payment. At first he said we couldnt… do the down payment off a card, then we asked Mike (finance guy) he said that was fine. Then when we got the insurance for the card they called us & said the address wasn't right, so my girlfriend called the insurance company & told them the insurance didnt have the right address, our insurance agent said it is correct I'm looking at it right now. We called the dealership back & informed them that it was right. They gave us attitude about them being wrong, with no apology. Then when we came to pick up the car the salesmen had a different guy finish the paperwork & he sat at another table on his phone, when he could have been putting the temporary registration on the car instead he stayed on his phoneGreat Experience

I had been a customer for 20 plus years at Lamacchia and had also recommended to people at my large employer to shop there also. My… most recent experience was extremely disappointing. I had texts and phone calls go unanswered. I then left a message in follow up with the owner’s son asking for any assistance and received no communication. From what I experienced the dealership has definitely lost the family feel that I had always previously had. I honestly felt de-valued as a loyal, longtime customer. I then went to a Mazda dealership in our area and had a great experience.Owen Delay

I bumped into Nelson Pabon and he totally made the process simple and extremely fair! Being a female he didn't try taking advantage of me BUT instead… he made me feel more secure in my decision in buying a Honda from him and him only, I will never deal with anyone else ever! It did help that he has a AWESOME NYC accent. Thank you so much!!!!!!BEST CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE EVER !!!

I shopped around and decided to stop at Lamacchia Honda as they had a vehicle i was interested in. Salesman Steven Wright came out and introduced… himself. We talked for a while and he showed me the car I was interested in. He is very Knowledgeable with the Honda Products he sells. After the test drive we went in to talk numbers as I was really impressed with the vehicle. At no time did Steven try to pressure me into buying the vehicle like a lot of other sales people do. He made you feel relaxed with no pressure at all. We eventually put together a deal I couldn't refuse. They went above and beyond what is expected from a dealership to make that happen. Steven is an Outstanding Person and anyone who is interested in buying a vehicle should visit him First....... Thank you Steven and everyone at Lamacchia Honda for making my purchase a pleasurable experience !!!Awesome Managers

My girlfriend purchased a car there and I came with her to make sure she wasent taken advantage of but I have to admit they know what their doing down there. They didn't dicker on the price as… they gave us the fair market selling price on the new CRV. Not only did we meet the manager or managers after the sale But they introduced themselves before we even drove the car, that has never happenned to us before.i also believe Phil (one of the managers) pulled the car up for us like it was valet service...Impressed!!! They are very friendly and knowledgeable. Also my girlfriend Loved Nelson the other sales manager, hes a splitting image of pitbull when he wears his glasses. Our sales person Owen was great so please deal with him, hes a great car guy. Thank you guys for all your help!!!Fantastic customer service!
by NYCMom86 on 11/02/2016I called Lamacchia asking for information on a 2016 Pilot, Matt answered all my questions and was so full of knowledge! He scheduled an appointment with me the same day. I bought the Pilot on the spot! He wasn't one of those pushy salesman-… he was funny, knowledgeable and very personable! I felt no pressure at all to buy. I drove 50 minutes from Rome and it was worth it! I would refer any family or friend to go see Matt. After purchasing Matt gave me a call to follow up and see how everything was going with my new Pilot, I even got a thank you card in the mail! It's little things like that, that would make me go back in the future and refer people to Lamacchia. Thank you guys for the great service and my new Pilot!Beat every other Honda dealer within 50 miles

Extremely helpful, efficient, knowledgeable and didn't waste my time. I'd visited dealers in Liverpool and Auburn and… was extremely disappointed.I bought the CRV at Lamacchia on the spot. On a couple of visits I had to wait a short time to see TR. While I waited, salesperson Miranda was also very friendly and offered to help with any questions. Don't waste your time going to other Honda dealers because Lamacchia Honda will most likely be the place you buy.Great sales experience

Owen was professional, knowledgeable, patient and friendly without being "pushy" and he went over and above… to ensure my satisfaction. Owen came in on his day off to accommodate my schedule and went out of his way to assist me with getting my vehicle on the day I wanted it, despite a minor problem with my down payment. Owen and the staff at Lamacchia Honda is the reason that I returned to purchase my third Honda. Thank you again for a good experience!Down to earth sales team
by JeremyY on 08/21/2015We had easily the best car buying experience ever yesterday. Jayme, the Internet sales manager, was a joy to work with. When we arrived, she introduced us to Andy, our Sales associate, who was very down to earth, knowledgeable, and… patient. Even the sales manager, usually just known as the "man behind the curtain", stopped by to chat for a bit. Nelson was a great guy! Nelson, Andy, and the finance manager even stayed well past closing time to finish up everything - great service. The best part, no pressure sales. They gave us exactly what I wanted for a trade on our old car and a good deal on the new one. Everything was transparent and we were able to evaluate many potential options for the sale without feeling any pressure whatsoever. I can't say enough good things about the experience or the people at Lamacchia Honda and we will definitely be keeping our future business here!Not willing to honor Edmunds price

I contacted the dealership which had two of the model on their lot on Saturday. On Monday I called to discuss seeing the vehicles. I was… told that they were sold over the weekend and no more were available. While this certainly could have been the case as I drive the the dealership daily on my way to work the same two pilots are still on the lot. They didn't make an attempt to inform me if the deals fell through or if they would be willing to help locate a pilot for me.. they were more than willing to try and sell me a 2016 pilot with out an edmunds price. I would say just be careful if dealing with this dealership. It might just have been the sales person we were dealing with.Friendly and Professional
by Misty37 on 06/06/2015Since I am in the market for a small CUV I have visited several dealerships and seen some great cars, but didn't want to make a decision on what to buy until I'd checked out the new Honda HR-V. The catch? The HR-V would not be available… here in Canada until July 10, and I did not want to wait over a month to see it, only to learn it wasn't for me. However, I learned that the vehicle had just become available in the U.S. As I live close to the border it's easy for me to go to the States to vacation, visit friends or shop for things that you can't find here. Thus I went online to find the nearest Honda dealership across the border and found Lamacchia Honda in downtown Syracuse. They had three HR-Vs! I emailed them, explaining that I would like to see and sit in an HR-V. I have some mobility issues and am quite small, so ergonomics are really important. I also made it clear that I knew that since I lived in Canada they would be unable to sell the vehicle to me, so if they didn't want to spend the time with me I totally understood. The response came within 15 minutes. The three HR-Vs had already been sold, but they'd let me know when more cars arrived. Which they did, on Wednesday ... and shortly thereafter I received an email: When was I coming down? Thursday morning found me arriving at the dealership. I was a little nervous ... did they really want to talk to someone when no sale could happen? I needn't have worried. Jayme, the Internet sales person, had let everyone know that I was arriving and the welcome couldn't have been warmer. Of course I could sit in the HR-V and see if it fit me! Devin, another sales rep, showed me the car, answered my questions and even let me drive it a short distance. It didn't matter that I wasn't there to purchase a car - they knew that Honda might benefit from the work they were doing that day, and that was enough. I benefitted too, and they seemed genuinely glad to help me identify a car that might work for me, whether or not they made the sale. Afterwards we had a great conversation and I truly wished I could have bought a vehicle from that dealership! As it is, I am eagerly awaiting July 10! Lamacchia Honda treated me very professionally. by Honkytonkman on 01/08/2015I'm am happy with the Sales people as acquiring a Certified Pre-Owned used car (2011 Honda Civic EX) was no hassle and quick. The transaction was simple as they did all the hard work. Financing, DMV, placed what I wanted in the Sales… Agreement, had a couple Test Drives .... easy to make a request and Lamacchia Honda Dealership is great for customer satisfaction. I had so-so credit rating and got an interest rate of 4.96% that started at 5.4% as they worked with the bank. I even met Mr. Lamacchia when I picked up the car, he is a wonderful gentleman. Since I live in Syracuse, I was picked up at home so I could drive my Honda Civic home without relying on a friend to take me to the dealership... now that is great service. The car is not new and it's not going to be perfect but it is very clean , looks great and drives well. I recommend Lamacchia Honda for anyone who wants a reliable car and one that does not depreciate in value quickly. Reasonably priced when checking NADA, Edmunds, KBB and U.S. News. Lamacchia Honda beats other competitors with a larger selection and better pricing plus excellent staff/ sales people. Go and check out Lamacchia Honda for yourself ... you'll be glad you did even if you decide not to buy a car. But I hope you do. I've owned several makes in the past such as Ford, Pontiac, a Alfa Romeo, and currently my other car is a Chevy Impala. The Honda Civic is my 1st Honda.GREAT EXPERIENCE

He was professional and courteous throughout and got us the car we wanted at a good price with a… reasonable expectation on our trade. No surprises, courteous, helpful and no fooling around. I highly recommend Lamacchia for your next car purchase. It is really the BEST Honda dealership in the Syracuse and Northern New York area and if you want the ABSOLUTELY BEST sales person to deal with ask for T. R. Sayles.Obnoxious and arrogant sales personel. Shady deals.

His comment when I complained and told him what I expected was " Good luck getting that". The only problem was, I already had it - IN… WRITING! I would never do business with this dealership. I did not feel that they were at all interested in having me as a customer or that I could trust any deal I made there.Lamacchia Honda very nice people
