Awesome Car-Buying Experience
Everything was great!
by jeanetics on 05/15/2014updated 06/14/2025I've been in a couple of times since I moved to Las Vegas and both times everyone has been so nice and helpful. They answer all of my questions and genuinely seem happy to be there and help.Never fixed car. Had it for more than a week
by lvvw on 05/08/2013updated 06/14/2025I bought my 2010 VW Golf from desert vw July of 2010. To start off the rims and tires that were on the car were aftermarket when i bought it. I went into a discount tire to get the tires rotated and balance about 6 mo. after i bought the… car. They showed me that the tires on the car were atleast 7 years old. I went back into desert VW and told them what i found, and they said that i was my fault that i didnt check them when i bought the car. WHAT????? So i wanted to get new rims and tires on the car anyways so no big deal. And then last month my service engine light came on, and i took it into Desert VW to get it fixed. To make a long story short i had dropped it off 4 different times to have the same problem fixed. Each time I picked dit up they said they fixed it and my engine light came on within 10 miles of leaving the dealership each time. The last time that i dropped it off they had the car for 5 days, they didnt offer a loaner car or my ststus of the car. I called them on the fifth day and asked them the ETA. They responded I dont know?? WHAT???? So i went down to the dealership to see what was going on and they had my car out back in the corner of the lot boxed in by 3 other cars and they proceeded to tell me that the aftermarket air filter was the reason that my light was coming on and i needed to bring them my stock air box. BS in my opnion. So i took the car from them that day and went over to Findlay North VW that afternoon and they had it fixed in 3 hrs. And ontop of Desert having my car for so long, Findlay North VW told me that Desert VW put the wrong parts on my car and they had left a screw driver under my engine cover and it had punctured the air pump hose and it needed fixed also. If you love your VW or are looking to get great service go to Findlay North VW. They are awesome. Desert VW [non-permissible content removed]!!! and so do their attitudes.AutoNation, Las Vegas
by mychef12 on 11/19/2013updated 06/14/2025the online purchase with Yadir B. in guiding and finding my Touareg was smooth and effortless - truly it was one of the best car buying experience I ever had - the handover and finally delivery managed by Jennifer M. had every attention to… detail and couldn't be more pleased - Kudos to both for a job well done - 12 to 16 month I'm in the market again...keep in touch, Best ChristianTouareg, Autonatinon
by member57 on 01/20/2014updated 06/14/2025Very happy with the new vehicle. I've bought 25 cars in my life, never a better overall expericence than with Autonation VW in Las Vegas. That goes for their BMW dealership down the street, as well.Pulling Teeth to get a price.
by vegasangel on 01/04/2012updated 06/14/2025I went in with a friend and Volkswagen owner a few years back to check out a Volkswagen. I was interested in a black Jetta on the lot, but noticed it was damaged from a side swipe. Though we didn't know the price, I asked if they would… lower the price of the car due to the damage, and he said that it wasn't possible. I can't count how many times we asked the sales guy HOW MUCH the vehicle was, and he kept pressuring me to get my credit run and paperwork in. He kept asking, "Do you like the car? Do you like the car?"..... "Yes... I like the car. What is the price?" We walked out after he refused to tell us the price. I was flabbergasted. Seriously. A week later, a "manager" called and tried to get me to come back in, got interrupted with something else, and said he would call me the next day. I never heard back. Horrible experience. I will never deal with them.Great VW

by jeanetics on 05/15/2014updated 06/14/2025My favorite part: They weren't pushy. They let me take my time and answered all of my questions without getting impatient with me. Everyone was extremely friendly and the overall experience was pleasant.Thank you for your kind words and review. We never want our buyers to feel pressured, as we understand you need time to make informed purchase. Do not hesitate to call if you need anything. Be safe on the road.
Paid for Services not Performed.
by ffs on 03/18/2011updated 06/14/2025Avoid Desert VW at all costs! The service department is completely dishonest! I paid $68 for a "Fuel Saver Service" that I chose over a regular oil change because it included tire rotating. Service staff is always rude; during my last visit… a group of technicians smoking cigarettes were blocking the service entrance when I arrived. As if these things weren't enough... I had to ask for my vehicle inspection report at the end of the service and noticed it didn't mention the tire rotation, so I asked Roland Wheaton (service advisor) if it was performed, and he assured me it had. Upon further investigation, however, I know that it wasn't. I was tipped off by the placement of my valve covers - my right rear is different from the others, I replaced it the month before, and after service on the right rear it remained. That was the tip-off: it turns out that I have the receipts for both of the driver side tires, purchased at different times. Front left is the only "Epic Tour" brand tire on my car and it was placed front left 11/2008, when it was purchased. The only other tire I've replaced on my car is the left rear, a "Conti-Pro" branded tire, November 2009. It is visibly newer than the rest and my receipt for it confirms its placement on the rear left. The tires were never rotated by Desert VW, as I was told, and I know this because the tires were still in the same spots as evidenced by my records. Unbelievable!AutoNation Volkswagen Las Vegas

by angelaw2 on 10/25/2013updated 06/14/2025I recently purchased my second vehicle from AutoNation Volkswagen. I came back the second time because like the first time I received exceptional service. My salesperson, Yoshwa, was great. He was very knowledgeable and patient. My whole… experience from arriving until I left with my new vehicle was great.Typical dirty sales tactics
by sallywagg on 12/13/2011updated 06/14/2025I made my initial contact with Desert VW (DVW) through Edmonds.com as DVW was a "preferred dealer." This was the second time I purchased a vehicle this way (first time was with Desert Toyota which was an AWESOME experience!). I expected the… same or similar experience because 1) DVW is/was a preferred dealer and 2) it was in the Desert Autogroup family. Nope, not even close. The only contact I had with the internet sales guy was when he passed me off to another salesman. I found a car that matched my online build, test drove it and began the buying process. They ran credit, background, etc, then gave me the sale paperwork. Much to my surprise, the price was WAY higher than originally agreed. The pricing got fixed after some time, but I had to leave. Since we already started the buying process, we agreed that I would return first thing the next morning. When I returned, they sold the car that I already was in the process of buying. I made my stink about how dirty it was and started to leave. I was chased down by a sale "manager" who promiced to make "everything right." I found another car and was high-balled on the price. I caused a scene about how dirty they were and some guy who called himself the "general manager" came over and tried to quiet me down. After two days and many hours, I left with the vehicle, was told everything was approved and I was on my way. Two weeks later, I get a call saying the financing didn't go through. TWO WEEKS LATER! I had to go through the whole finance process again. Fortunately, there was no change in the price. This was my third vehicle that I bought by contacting the internet sales manager and this was BY FAR, below the acceptable level of customer service that it advertised. I certainly don't feel that I needed to fight for the car and price that I originally started to buy.Great Experience, Great Sales
by sbelleque on 02/29/2012updated 06/14/2025I had a few different makes and models of cars I was interested in so I shopped around for dealerships before even thinking of looking for a car and settled on Desert Volkswagen for a couple reasons. The first and most important is the way… I was treated by the staff at the dealership. My salesman, John Parsons, was top notch in everyway. I don't rush things and can be a little slow to pull the trigger on a deal but he was patient and very friendly. Wihtout a doubt the most enjoyable experience I've ever had while buying a car. Secondly, I feel I got a fair deal. I would recommend anyone who is shopping for a new Volkswagen to get one at Desert Volkswagen.THE BEST EXPERIENCE WITH ROBIN V.
by misaelbarcenas on 04/08/2014updated 06/14/2025Having experienced other cars, I realized that my Volkswagen CC is perfect for me. its elegant with size and very comfortable. Sincerely, Misael B.what a car.
