  • Service with a Smile

5 out of 5 starsby Lisa Kuehl on 04/07/2023

Mark at Mercedes was very friendly and helpful. He provided a number to contact him with any questions I might have while the car was being serviced. Once services were rendered he sent an estimate of recommendations the service team provided. He called and walked through them with me and did not try to over sell me on them. When I picked up my car the process was easy and convenient. Mark was terrific through the whole process — very friendly and professional

I questioned a repair and the service manager got so angry he became abusive. They know they are one of only 2 MBZ service centers between Kansas City and Des Moines -- 150+ miles to the next nearest.

I bought a new E class from this dealer after owning 3 Acura vehicles. In Omaha, stick with Acura if service and quality are important to you. Never would I think Acura would trump Mercedes Benz, but in service... 1) Three times I have taken my car in for a 'complimentary wash'. They use it as a sales benefit. They may as well call it the 'dollar wash' as there is always water dripping, water spots, and just generally there is no pride in the wash. Certainly not what you would expect for a luxury brand. Plus, on average I wait 30 minutes just for the wash on an apparent slow day. 2) Ordering parts, you have to call them back to see if it came in. Twice now, I ordered parts that were unbelievably marked up. This time I waited two weeks and then called just to make sure it was the process and not someone on vacation, again. So with this experience on simple things, I am very concerned if I ever take my vehicle in for a more complicated service. On the flip side, Acura washes were perfection. No spots, cleaned interior, air freshener, etc. A full detail for free. Service always called you back when a part came in and you never felt like you had to follow-up on their jobs. I would suggest the Mercedes Benz of Omaha should take a cue from Acura of Omaha. It does make me unlikely to buy another Mercedes again or even recommend them.

I took my S430 to an authorized MB dealer ti have a battery draw diagnosed. The car was not diagnosed correctly however I was charged $1100 and told the car was fixed. The next day the car would not start. The car was returned to MB Omaha and there it stayed for six months. After the technicians tore the car apart it experienced many electrical malfunctions. The dealer will not return the car in the condition it was given to them in. They instead have offered to refund the money they took under false pretense and to force me to take possession of a car that they destroyed. Very honorable. It is a worthless vehicle now. What am I supposed to do sue them to get my car fixed? I don't have the time nor do I have the patience to put up with the incessant lies and strong arm tactics of a group of thugs unwilling to accept responsibility for their actions. MB Omaha's policy seems to be duck and dodge any and every question and place blame on whomever it may be as long as it is not them. You broke my car and refuse to fix it. I thought Mercedes Benz was an exceptional organization. I was wrong these hacks more reflect the quality and mentality of a used car lot. Slick and sleazy. I am very disappointed in MB in MB Omaha in MB USA for doing absolutely nothing to help one of your most loyal customers get his car back - forget about actually having fixed. They have ad my car for six months! They not only have no idea what was wrong when they took possession they now have blown up the entire electrical system. Your ads are right on target , "The Best Or Nothing" I had the best and got back nothing! I will vow this to you MB USA I will take this case to the internet and to any and every public forum I can find. Your actions and those of your authorized dealership are reprehensible. The general public deserves to know how you feel and treat your customers. After having done just a cursory investigation of the persons at this dealership I have found several others that have had a similar experience to mine. I will contact these people and will implement all facts into the information released on the public forums. Thank You for all of your help!
