by Seth68504 on 01/02/2023Our salesperson was Catherine Smith, if she was the only person we dealt with at beardmore Subaru, there wouldn’t be enough stars on the scale to rate her high enough. She was amazing from first contact til the time we drove away in my… wife’s new car. She walked through everything on the vehicle with my wife over FaceTime and explained everything in detail to her. She actually focused on my wife (who is the primary driver of this vehicle) and not me. Then we get to the “sales manager” Dave Schoonover. I should have known he wasn’t an honest broker when he started talking about his “wholesale buyer” in negotiating the lowball trade in value on our extremely low Mileage and clean trade in. He was very condescending and kept shooting down every counter offer. I told my wife and the salesperson exactly what they ended up putting it on the lot for because they are going to keep it. Guess what, I was only $100 off in my estimation. We are going to be in the market in a few months again for another vehicle, but because of the actions of the sales manager, we will probably be shopping somewhere else where they deal fairly.Purchase 2022 forester

The sales person (Catherine) made things work out great. One minor glitch but Catherine handled it in… a timely and professional manner.Happy customer

by KaylaM on 02/07/2019I randomly came upon Beardmore Subaru after doing some online SUV research and narrowing down my potential new car list. I wanted to take my time and find the right SUV and the right dealership. I visited quite a few dealers and drove quite… a few cars and nothing compared to a Subaru and Beardmore! I was allowed to take two different Subaru’s home for test drives with no pressure to purchase. I was happily greeted and every question was always answered with patience and passion. David Schuck provided amazing customer service (everyone I met at Beardmore did) and showed such passion! He made the process fun and he is so easy to trust. You can tell the culture at Beardmore is different from other dealerships and it shows from management to finance. Thanks for finally a good car buying experience!Rude and cocky salesman. Lied to me regarding trade. Lowballed on trade.

by Lou on 04/23/2018Going into this I knew there would be a handful of hoops to jump through. I went in knowing exactly what I wanted. Worked with my sales associate and went on a test drive. When we got back and started the "negotiation" phase, that's when… the headache started. First of all, it is pretty dumb that it needs to be a "negotiation" but I knew this would be the case from the start. I tell the sales associate what features/addons I wanted. He goes to talk to the sales manager. Waste my time please, lets go back and forth. I told them what I wanted and the price I wanted it for. They didn't push back because they were getting the good end of this deal. I told them I did NOT want to take the car home until the add-on parts were in and installed but of course they insisted I needed to take it home that day even though I was still paying for it that day. I was told the additional parts should be in that week and service would call me to schedule the installation and everything. Well, it took 2 weeks and 3 phone calls (from me, not Beardmore) to finally sort everything out and schedule it. Why the sales people couldn't just listen to me from the start and let me leave my car at the dealership until it was ready, is beyond me. Good customer service associates would have done that for me, not here. Then I get my car registered and go to put on the plates, guess what? There is no front plate bracket that comes with the car. Are you serious? Now I need to go buy another part for my car. Maybe I could call them to see if I could get one free, but to be honest, I don't want to deal with them anymore. Unless I absolutely have to, I will just take my car to Baxter to have service done on it.Finally done
by Lou on 04/23/2018Getting the parts in for my car took longer than expected. There was a mishap on the parts side and I spoke with Matt about it. He was very helpful and got everything taken care of. To be honest, he was the only person at the entire… dealership, I thought, that cared at all. I called a total of 3 times to get the new parts installed on my car and no one could find out any information or even called me back until I spoke with Matt. I will gladly go to Baxter for any service I need next time.Excellent Service
by Courtney on 02/21/2018We picked Subaru due to the top safety ratings as I seem to be a target; I attract people to rear-end me. We now have a 6-year old Subaru Legacy with 53K miles and the cylinder head blew off. It was going to cost us $3K to fix. We asked for… help from Subaru, if there was anything they could do as our warranty had just expired & these engines were supposed to last over 200K. They gave us a number to call to see if we even qualified for a financial gift, said we could have a loaner vehicle until our case was determined. My husband called the number & in less than an hour, we were told they would cover the costs plus provide a loaner vehicle until it was fixed. What a gift!!! We could not be more happy with the choice of owning a Subaru. I am so anxious to get into the new SUV that is coming out in 2019. Thank you Subaru for being a STELLAR dealership and providing the best service around!!!! I recommend this dealership to everyone!!!!You get what you pay for and Subaru is the best!

Sam Turco walked me through the process and did everything he could to make the process as painless as possible, looking for and test driving several options that fell within my criteria and price range.… Ultimately, Tom Howard made the decision easier by bringing up that one of the options, a forester, would have an easier time breaking through drifts that clog my gravel roads. They say once you drive a Subaru you never go back, I'm starting to believe it! THANKS GUYS!!!!Used car purchase

Best thing was coming in to sign paperwork at 9 and being on… the road before 10. Best experience I've had purchasing a vehicle.Uninterested, Incompetent and Dishonest

We leased a new vehicle this summer in an effort to assure we would have reliable transportation for the foreseeable future. Unfortunately, we began experiencing major electrical problems… within the first few months. The service staff at Beardmore had our vehicle for over 34 days without ever calling us to update us on what theyd found, and could provide no detailed diagnostic information, which may be why the problem continues to reoccur, requiring us to repeatedly return the vehicle. Throughout the process we were dismissed by service manager Jim Bowser and his technicians, who gave little more than 1-word responses. We were lied to by GM Doug Christensen, who gave us the verbal equivalent of a pat on the head and assured us we would be taken care of though he provided no follow-through. He and his entire staff made it quite clear they couldnt care less about our lack of reliable transportation, so we took the car elsewhere to have it properly diagnosed by professionals. If Beardmore is incapable of completing warranty work correctly and with tact, Im not sure what they can do. Would highly recommend going elsewhere- anywhere, elsewhere.Very Good Shopping Experience - Highly Recommended
by tandrews on 08/17/2008My wife and I have purchased many cars over the years and we have never had a better purchase experience. I would like to share our thoughts about Beardmore Subaru. We were greeted promptly with enthusiasm. We felt welcome and appreciated… for coming to the dealership to look around. We told the salesperson that we were just looking and he said it was ok to just look around and that Beardmore's store policy was to provide no hassle- no pressure assistance. But the salesperson did ask permission to show us around and just be available in case we had any questions, so we said that would be fine. They had a great selection of Subaru's. After looking around for about 10minutes, my wife found a Legacy she liked so I asked if we could test drive it. The salesperson went and got the keys, and a license plate and we went for a test drive together. We did have a few questions about the Legacy and Salesperson seemed very well informed and enthusastic about the product. We decided to see what our trade was worth and then decided to negotiate a deal. Their negotiation process was handled professionally and courteously. When we aske for more money for our trade, our salesperson told us he would work for us to make sure we got a fair amount for our trade-in. We were very happy with our deal. They were easy to work with and feel we we able to get a good deal. Thanks Beardmore'sBeardmore
by blankenfeld on 03/20/2011updated 07/25/2025- While I suspect Beardmore of questionable sales policies (The strong smell of Salesman/Customer for Life BS???), the treatment and service I got from Beardmore was good enough on my first car to warrant a second trip and a second… purchase. Not only was my treatment deserving, but I wasn't pressured excessively into steering the dealerships way on deal-making aspects. Doug Otteman did a great job of being courteous, attentive and doing whatever he could to keep my wife & I happy and informed. Doug and I came to a mutual agreement on a new car, trade-in value, and overall "out the door" price. So, I bought a 2011 loaded, Subaru Outback 2.5i Limited. - Delivery happened fast and the car was delivered in a way that left nothing in terms of questions/concerns about the car's operation, ownership or condition. Truly, it was a very pleasant overall buying experience. - There were only tiny little things that kept me from giving Beardmore a 5 star rating. -->#1 My belief they practice a "Salesman/Customer for Life" set-up. (I originally bought a car from one salesman, and now, regardless of which salesman I buy from in the future, that first salesman either gets a cut or "dibs" on selling me anything in the future) -->#2 I got a tiny bit of attitude from the sales manager when asked me if I was using the #'s one dealership gave me to haggle down the other to give me a better price. Of course I was! Who wouldn't? But the fact he called me out was not cool. If he would've given me one additional negative nonverbal indicator, I would've walked out. But he didn't and things progressed nicely from there until the end. Other than those two things, I could not be happier with my Beardmore experienceOnly place to service your Subaru

Not only do they go above and beyond to make your vehicle right, but the customer service you get is unbelievable compared to any other… dealership. Great value for the cost and your Subaru looks and runs great! The service folks at this dealership are top notch.Best Car Buying Experience I've Ever Had

I began the process through Edmunds.com to get a quote and Mike was responsive throughout the process. He, of course, put together a… great deal for me but the reason I enjoyed the process so much is because of the service he provided. I set foot at the dealership twice, once to have my trade-in evaluated and the second time to pick up my car. Mike and the Beardmore team made sure that the process was as quick and painless as possible and the car was shining and ready for me inside the showroom when we came to pick it up. We were in and out in about an hour and a half and there was no pressure at any time. I have always HATED buying cars but Mike and Beardmore made it a pleasure.Go to Beardmore for Suby Service!!

I live within 3 miles of a Subaru Dealership (Stan Olsen) but I will GLADLY drive 22+ miles to deal with the staff at Beardmore Subaru. I know a good deal about my cars and how… to care for them. After dealing with the POOR service and attitudes I found at Stan Olsen Subaru, I vowed NEVER to go back. I reluctantly drove the 22+ mile trip to get my car serviced at Beardmore Subaru and the difference was day and night!! The staff at Beardmore took the time to explain all services and costs with no hesitation when it came to my questions and concerns. Beardmore staff puts the customer first and is willing to take the time necessary to address any customer questions or concerns.Best Subaru Service in the Midwest

Not only for regular services required but also for those unusual circumstances, such as an accident. They would not release my car until it was… absolutely in "before" accident condition. I Trust Beardmore Subaru to keep my vehicle and in turn my family safe. Don't go anywhere else.
