  • Great Experience, Service, and Products!

5 out of 5 starsby JulieMM on 11/03/2014

I liked the honesty and integrity of my sales rep, finance persons, and the manager. Also, two kia employees that assisted me a few years ago are still there and either made contact with me, this time again, or helped me with my paper work. The people at KIA are real people who are friendly, informative, service oreinted, and reliable. I can't wait for my next new purchase/lease in 36 months!
  • Great experience with Jeff and Kia

My salesman, Jeff was extremely patient. I came in an hour before closing and not once did I feel rushed to make a decision. Once I made up my mind the transaction was quick and smooth.

Aaron and his boss was able to describe my options and was able to choose a more educated choice for me so I could make a good decision financially. Aaron was very relaxed and was very pleasant. He seemed to be a newer member but did a wonderful job and was able to get me into a new car! Thanks Aaron!

I liked the friendliness of the employees, our sales person, and the ease of which it was to trade in and get a new vehicle.
  • Kia of Lansing was lovely!

Mondo and Eric went above and beyond to address my questions, both on the vehicle and the F&I business portion.
  • New car purchase

5 out of 5 starsby pennyrichmond on 09/11/2014

Like the personal touch the dealership provides. Know our salesman real well and think he is great (Mando O). This is our third Kia and we can't say enough good things about them. Awesome vehicle.
  • Awesome

    5 out of 5 starsby Lindsey09 on 09/12/2014

We worked with mando and he was completely honest with us and straight forward. He didn't just make things sound sweet he made sure we knew the whole deal. I loved his honesty we will return to him for another car. Even thought my husband and i were upside down with our current vehicle he still made it work at a reasonable price.
  • Vehicle Purchase at Kia of Lansing

5 out of 5 starsby Shaou on 08/01/2014

Aaron was very personable and helpful. He made us feel comfortable and assured us that he would do everything in his power to get us get the best fit for our needs. We never felt as though he was just trying to make the sale, his intentions were to help us get a car that would accommodate our family. He came across as a good person, which helped us to trust him and his judgement. As a result, we got a vehicle that we are extremely happy with and our faith in car dealerships has been renewed. We are grateful for the experience.
  • They do not know what they are doing

2.2 out of 5 starsby dougaroo on 03/07/2010

I bought a KIA and found their service department more worried about black marks against their service warranty that affect their bonus than trying to fix the problem. If you buy a KIA for price, beware the service at Young Automotive...its really poor.
  • Rip-off dealer

    2 out of 5 starsby mrpebble1 on 12/07/2008

I purchased a 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe used from this dealer two years ago. It had 54,000 miles on it. I asked for an extended warranty which was included in the purchase price. I found out shortly thereafter that the vehicle was still under warranty to 60,000 miles. I asked for a credit and to cancel the policy. I advised that they should have told me the vehicle was still under warranty when I purchased it. For six months I went back to the dealer every week to ask about the credit and they jacked me around again and again. I asked our worthless Attorney General for help and all they could do is tell me to sue them. The financing company said it was all the dealers fault. They finally cancelled it but they collected neary $200 in interest over that time which was never refunded. Recently, I found one of the tires had gone bad and, guess what, there was no spare tire in the vehicle. Ripped off again. This is absolutely the worst dealer around. They cheat you and take your money and run. I would never buy from this dealer again nor any Hyundai product
    • Young auto group, a very well know dealer has taken over hyundai of lansing. At Young auto group we strive hard to make every customer completely satisfied before and after the sale.

  • Hyundai Azera

3.2 out of 5 starsby fordolds on 04/01/2008

Once I had reduced the cars under consideration to just a few (Avalon, Lucerne, Azera) it was a question of potential for long term satisfaction, beginning with price accomodation from the dealer. I found that the Hyundai sales rep was young, energetic and friendly. However, it was apparent that he could not conclude a transaction without the intervention of the owner. It was bad enough that they had no inventory of the model in question (one new and one year-old used) and that leasing was obviously not a priority for their customers, but they seemed to have no awareness of the competitive alternatives. I would be able to beat their price by three thousand dollars if I was willing to drive 200 miles to get it. Inconvenient, but possibly necessary and worth it. Eventually, in a last second dramatic appeal at the exit door, a price I could accept, if not the best, was offered. I think it was cordial enough, but the role playing is something of car sales legend. And it is a further reminder of why so many people hold car sales staff in such low regard. In the mid-Michigan car market, this being a car manufacturing town, we are all acutely aware of the sluggish sales of cars. It seems counter productive to antagonize buyers, as has been my experience in nearly all purchase transactions, save one. I once bought a new, special order Dodge Dakota using an online system and it was a completely satisfying experience.
  • Hyundai Azera

2.6 out of 5 starsby fordolds on 04/02/2008

After purchasing a one year old Azera I noted several flaws that were not apparent during the presale test drive. During the first month of ownership I looked to the service staff for corrective action and received a mixed response. To begin with there was much evidence that they never performed anything approaching a complete presale inspection and preparation. Some examples include tire pressures widely out of spec, missing floor mats, sunroof out of alignment, and cabin air filter not replaced. I was never shown the inspection checklist. The new car setup procedure had not been performed - security codes not set and "limp home" code not inserted. And my report of pervasive tire noise, in an oscillating pattern, went untreated. And my request for warranty repair/replacement of peeling laminate on the steering wheel was ignored, all five times I asked about it. I had to buy a cabin filter, floor mats, and mud guards as well as pay for the limp home code setting. The sun roof was aligned because of a TSB issued by Hyundai. The service staff was unaware of the programming of the auto locking function until I looked up the options on the web and showed them the choices I wanted. I took the tire problem, which should have been caught on dealer prep, to a local tire store. It was resolved by Michelin, as defective, but still costing me $300 for wear on the original tires. Ultimately, I believe I have a fine car, but the experience is diminished by poor behavior of the service department. I bought the car partly because of the warranty. Yet I fear ever having to secure a serious repair under warranty. I cannot be certain they will honor the warranty and wonder if Hyundai of America cares in any case. In my opinion, they have a lot to learn about their products and reasonable expectations of their customers.
  • STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALER

    1. NO one will talk to you even if you are walking around for hours in the parking lot. 2. If you ask them about any cars or finance or special offers, they will ask you to visit their website (Which is cheap and down most of the time) 3. Wont return emails. 4. Wont return calls. 5. Wont even bother to look at you even if you are standing right in front of them. Good luck if anyone wants to experience this. Wow these people should be thankful that they even have a Job in Lansing.

I have really poor credit, they helped me with getting into a car that fit into my price range. Management is nice and I got to meet many of the employees and the owner, they also have refreshments which was nice. Everyone tured me away but they actually helped me without making me feel bad about my situation.
