by Quitkid on 02/20/2024I cannot in good conscience return to Art Moehn Chevrolet. I trusted and used your services for the last 6 & 1/2 years. Upon analysis of my Chevrolet Volt the technician was unable to offer any reasonable repair option and told me my… main battery needs replacement (for $28k the first time they quoted, then $24k about 3 months later). Over the course of the last 4 months with multiple visits to the shop I've been told my car repair bill would be from $24k-$28k and no timetable as the battery needed is on back-order. I was also told the last time a few other small parts needed replacement. I'm glad I said no and went elsewhere. How can you even say these things with a straight face? It boggles the mind. A new to me used car costs less. Upon investigation by a third party the low voltage system needed a new battery. This was an error that had fired before and was investigated and I was told at Art Moehn that, "it's not the low voltage system, it's the main battery". So why did I get a "low voltage system" error on my dash? I never did get an explanation of that. I have since been told by the Reddit Volt Forum that a bad low voltage system can cause excessive faults... That is interesting. The third party has replaced the low voltage system battery and said the larger battery is putting out the correct voltage, but is not holding much of a charge (<50% of new) and likely needs replaced very soon. That's the same thing I was told at Art Moehn the first time I went in. However, after the third party replaced the low voltage system battery in the volt and then drove it for 50 miles of testing they have not been able to get another code to fire. So, for less than $1k I have a car I can drive. I acknowledge it's not 100% fixed, but it is roadworthy. This interaction feels deceptive on the part of the dealer. My car is out of warranty (but it was close) and so I realize GM approved new parts are expensive, but what they offered was absurd at best. Then, in communicating with me, acted as if this was "reasonable and acceptable" mode of doing business. It is NOT. All this to say I guess I'll be going elsewhere with my business. Art Moehn gets 2 stars because the interactions were never rude or condescending in and of themselves. However, the nonsense of these last few months of events is astounding and borders on incompetence. Can you even fix your own car? I guess not. If the reader thinks I'm angry, I'm not. I am greatly disappointed. I chose to go to Art Moehn over the objections of my wife because they "knew the car" and would "do better quality work with GM parts". It feels all for naught, as they couldn't keep my car roadworthy. Nobody else worked on my car ever until now. I did and do love my car. I hope to keep it on the road. I am beginning to think it was not a wise purchase if it lasts only less than 7 years for $35K+repairs. That's not a good deal at over 5K/year for a small hatch-back sedan.Oil change, and tire rotation
by Cindi agge on 04/25/2023I was a little disappointed this time, because when I was called to the counter that the work was done, I was informed that they did the oil change, but not the tire rotation because they did not have the item to unlock the Lugnuts. Well,… it’s in the glove box, they didn’t even bother to ask. So when they said it was done without the tire rotation, I said well I’m here for that as well and I’m not waiting for another oil change to do that so they took it back in to do the work properly.Happy

Went in to get a Cruze but walked out with a Malibu, and for almost the same price! Absolutely love all the upgrades we got with it as… well. He gave us a tour of the dealership, and explained how we could schedule our first service appointment, which was handy because we have always done our own work. We will definitely be going to see Jamie when we upgrade our other car in a few yearsPerfect for a new car

Our sales rep Nick was rude, he didn't listen to what we were trying to look for and kept trying to sell us on a different vehicle then what we weren't interested in (that was $2,000 out of the budget… he had just asked us about), and he flat out lied to us. We were interested in a Buick, and were ready to buy that day, but the drivers side seat was messed up. We told him, that if they would fix the seat, we would talk numbers to make the purchase. It was the day after Christmas, so he said the upholstery guy would be in the next day to take a look at it. This was after we made him go ask his manager if they were going to let a seat lose a sale, because he kept arguing that it couldn't/wouldn't be fixed. Before we left the dealership that night, he said he would call us and let us know when the seat was done so we could come back and take a look. He NEVER mentioned needing money down to hold the car. The next day, my mom and step-dad call to check in on the vehicle - no response. I then receive a voicemail from Nick that the seat is done and "it looks almost as good as new. Let me know if you want me to take a few pictures and text it to you." I relayed the message to my mom and they went to look at it. When they arrived, ANOTHER COUPLE WAS DRIVING THE VEHICLE. When confronted, Nick said that we didn't put money down and that if this couple didn't want it, we could make a deal. We were NEVER told we had to put money down, and the whole reason the seat got fixed in the first place was BECAUSE OF US!!! When we spoke to the manager, the manager swore he would get to the bottom of it and call us back - he NEVER did!! We were so disappointed in the rude staff who flat out lied to us, that we will NEVER go back!Outstading experience

We vowed to never buy new again because of the instant vehicle depreciation following the purchase and exiting of the dealership lot. Therefore, we recently… began our search for a newer used vehicle. After several test drives, perusing used car warranty offers, and price comparisons we discovered a new car would be the best option. We visited several dealership websites ranging from Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio. We narrowed our search to local dealerships in Michigan, within 50 miles of Jackson, and with high customer review ratings for sales and service. Consequently, we found ourselves choosing from Art Moehns inventory. We dreaded the customary pushy car salesperson interaction and/or dialog that causes a less than enjoyable experience. However, our salesman, Justin Batshon, turned our car purchasing experience upside down. He simply gathered information about our needs and wants and pointed us in the right direction. In addition, he helped us setup mobile apps related to our purchase such as OnStar and Pandora. He also provided quick tips about our vehicles options. We were looking for a specific vehicle, and were fortunate enough to find it on… their website through an internet search. In our search, however, we learned that the internet can be both a blessing and a curse when looking for used vehicles; a curse when you run into shady characters offering that Too Good to be True deal, but a blessing when you encounter honest salesman such as Brent C. From our first encounter to our last, we neither felt pressured or ill-advised about our purchase. Many things stand out about our experience with Brent; his willingness to accommodate our schedule by holding the vehicle for our test-drive, no high pressure phone calls while we made our decision, his immediate action to buff out a scratch we noticed on the vehicle, and his offer of a fair price well below book value. And lastly, though surprises are not always a good thing when purchasing a used vehicle, a full tank of gas for our debut drive home certainly was thank you Brent and Art Moehn Chevrolet-Honda for a pleasant buying experience!
