avoid this one (2018 rav4 VIN: JTMRFREV4JJ188368) until it get fixed
by LookingForaGoodCar on 08/12/2024went in today to buy a 2018 rav4 (VIN: JTMRFREV4JJ188368 in case anyone interested) found some oil underneath oil pan (pic1), I cleaned it with wiper, and after a while, the new oil seeping out very slowly again (pic2), I ask the sales girl… if I can take the car to third-party inspection to check if it's a big issue or not, the girl said it would be fine, but her manager told me it's not ok, they have their own mechanic, they can do all inspection and fix if there is a problem. Mechanic lifted the car, I pointed him that oily bolt and the pan color around that bolt looks obviously wet, not like the other dry side, he told me he will tell the manager and fix it. After a while, I went to manager, ask if I should wait for the fixing or come back later, the manager told me that the mechanic said the car is fine and doesn't need fix at all, I said that's not what he told me!!! Then another guy came over, telling me as times goes by, all cars will have seeping issue, it's very normal, doesn't need fix, so we won't fix it. I said I understand that it's normal, but I cannot accept saying this doesn't need to be fixed. He said that's ok, we are not forcing you to buy the car, right? you don't need to buy the car! I am shocked, and said I have to pass this one, thank you for your time, then walked out, feel unbelievable.We apologize for the experience you had during your visit. It's important to us that our customers feel confident in their vehicle purchases, and it sounds like we fell short here. We would appreciate another chance to address your concerns properly. SCAM ALERT
by Victor on 05/16/2024**This review is over 6 years in the making as someone who purchased a brand new 2018 Kia Optima and during that time has had a history of dealing with Kia's body shop and warranty department** Roughly 7k miles shy of 100k, my car was… experiencing issues with its engine oil levels where the oil light would come on within 3k miles after an oil change. I'm not a mechanic by any means and I made every attempt to take the car to a Kia dealership for maintenance whenever possible but my experience with this shop and Kia's warranty department was enough to make me sell the car altogether and never look back. In June of 2023, I met with the shop manager, Marc Cortez, who kept the car for a few days while his mechanic inspected it for possible leaks. After no leaks were found, the next step was to submit a warranty claim and test the oil burn rate by driving it for 1k miles and checking the oil levels - this was after Marc had me hunt down all oil records for the past 6 years - After driving for 1k miles, I was told that the engine is "burning at an acceptable rate" and was given a "solution" which involved flushing of the engine with instructions to return to them if I continue to have issues. Needless to say I needed another oil change in less than 3k miles and I had to return. This time, things went a little different. Suddenly, I was told that my valve cover gasket was causing a leak and needed to be replaced out of pocket and ANOTHER oil change was needed BEFORE we could continue with the existing warranty claim with no indication that the valve cover gasket was even the issue. The sudden shift from one visit to the next was extremely off-putting as if I had gone to two different body shops and now they were trying to get me to pay for repairs that did not exist before. I called Kia customer service and explained the situation and the representative stated that there is an ongoing lawsuit regarding Kias who are experiencing the same issue but unfortunately, customers are at the mercy of the shop managers to escalate to the warranty department. With that knowledge, I believe Marc was not doing everything he could to help but was doing everything he could to make sales. I've also sent this to the BBB to raise awareness and hope no one else falls victim to this scam.Victor, I'm truly sorry to read about your frustrating experience with the warranty claim and maintenance of your vehicle. by Jd on 02/29/2024I bought at Pride in 2021 and had a negative experience. I vowed never to go back. Given a vehicle that they had and a nice and competent sales rep, I changed my mind. What a fool I was. This dealership is stuck in the past and really hid… the ball on me. I can’t tell if it was incompetence or deceit.I'm really sorry to read about your experience. Awesome service!

On the day of service I dropped the car off to be serviced. A couple of hours later I received a call it was ready.… Everything was taken care of and the even washed my vehicle. Disappointed!
by Eddie on 06/09/2023My 2022 Kia broke down, and Roadside Assistance gave only this dealer as an option to bring my car. When Prime Kia received my car, they gave me ONE MOUNTH to diagnose what was wrong with it. It is unacceptable and I had to spend money to… tow my vehicle to my original dealer. This is really bad service. If I need to purchase a vehicle in the future, Prime Kia is the last dealer I would choose. Bad taste in my mouth. Rear door problem NOT resolved!
by Dennis Finn on 05/17/2023I took the day off from work to have my rear door problem fixed at Pride Kia, it wasn't opening from the inside or outside. I had to pay for an Lyft ride to get back to Kia dealership, paid $150.00 fee for service rendered, walk out to my… car, test the rear door, and it will NOT open, it was NOT fixed! Oh, by the way, I had to drop off and pick up my grandson from his daycare on top off this problem! Now, I have to take another day off from work, be inconvenienced, pay for another Lyft ride, and have to drop off and pick up my grandson, again! I hope Pride Kia pre-orders any and all necessary parts ahead of this next date when I have my car serviced, AGAIN, to make sure that rear door problem is resolved, once and for all!Dennis, we're sorry to hear about the trouble you experienced with your rear door, and I apologize for any inconvenience it caused.
