Buying a Chevy Silverado 1500
by markwell2 on 02/20/2016I had a great experience this week buying a Chevy Silverado 1500. I've owned different types of pickup trucks over the years but never a Chevy. I decided to check them out, looked at dealerships in the area, and discovered that… Commonwealth had twice as many 1500s available for me to look at than anyone else. Entering the dealership I was greeted by Chris Drew who asked what I was looking for and next asked what I needed and wanted in a truck. This helped us focus on what engine/tow options and accessories were needed. I was impressed Chris wasn't giving the "hard sell" and that he only showed me what I wanted. After we agreed on a truck, the trade-in value on my current truck (I was happy with the amount, no need for haggling), Chris handed me off the the financing folks who were very efficient and helpful in getting a great rate. I love both the truck and the dealership and look forward to dealing with them, both for service and new vehicles in the future.Commonwealth Motors

I worked with him for more than two months on a new Silverado. We developed a rapport that led… to trust. He stayed in touch with me on new specials and just checked in to say hello. He is the opposite of the stereotypical car salesman. Andy stayed patient with me while I sat at his desk for over an hour one visit trying to make a decision. He never once was concerned about the sale but what was best for me. I must ask does the dealer pay for training for this?? If so keep it up. This young man got me out of a lease 5 months… earlier and lowered my payments. Wow!! He was such a great salesperson and asked is there anything else that you would like in your new truck? I said yes step sides and a bed liner. His response! Not a problem I can do that.. Again don't change how you train the salespeople! They listen and do the job and do it right. My wife's lease will be up soon and yes she will lease her new car from Commonwealth.All of us at Commonwealth Auto congratulate you on your new car and appreciate the opportunity you presented to earn your business! He remembered everything we mentioned to him and made sure we got everything we wanted and more. We were never made to wait very long at all.… Most dealerships make us wait so long between answers to simple question. It is typical to hear "let me go ask my manager. I will be right back." and an hour later we get an answer. Then of course we have another question and have to go through the same thing again. We will never shop anyplace else again.We are pleased to hear that you had an excellent experience with Richard. Commonwealth Motors - Shop Them ONLY!

The main objective of that day was to test drive multiple different classes of vehicles to see what vehicle(s) would be best suited for a 4'11" female. The salesperson, John Zak,… was enthusiastic about allowing multiple test drives and at no point during this process did we ever feel rushed, or obligated to make a purchase. After all test drives were performed, John ran some numbers for us and even allowed us to go home that evening without pushing for a sale. Giving us that freedom, and not feeling pressured, was the key component in us deciding to buy from Commonwealth. Despite sub-par credit, the Commonwealth team jumped through hoops to make it work for us, and genuinely seemed more excited about the smile on my wife's face, than the sale and money coming into the door. Again, just an amazing experience, and an absolutely wonderful team to do business with. I will never again even bother looking at another dealership.Thank you for taking the time to write about your experience.
