  • Warranty refund nearly impossible

1 out of 5 starsby Nic on 08/21/2023

After being quite patient for 5 months now, I’ve reached my limits. For nearly 1/2 a year I have all but begged this dealership to issue my refund owed on an extended warranty I purchased. I’ve gotten little to no help or communication from even their top in command, the General Manager, Kyle. I’ve texted him for months now with most messages not even the courtesy of a response. Quite disappointing to do business this way.

  • Awesome Experience!

5 out of 5 starsby TanyaP on 06/24/2019

Had a fantastic experience buying my 2019 RAV4 from Supreme Toyota. Chad Basso is great to work with. It was a one-stop shop for all of my questions and made car buying a worry-free experience. I also feel that I got an exceptional value and was offered a high level of customer service. Highly recommend going to Chad and Supreme Toyota!

  • Gamey

1 out of 5 starsby ScottProcell on 06/23/2019

Gamey [non-permissible content removed]. Beware the $495 non-negotiable anti-theft fee on top of their 'supposed' asking price. Drove all the way from Baton Rouge for them to say they couldn't sell it for the advertised price or they would lose money.

  • Rude Manager

1 out of 5 starsby walkertarheel on 11/03/2018

I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. The sales person was great and patient. We weren't close on the numbers so the manager insisted on coming meet with me himself. I told him I was not going to allow him to run my credit until we agreed on numbers. He rudely told me that this was a process that had to be followed. I told him I was not willing and asked him to give me my keys to my car so I could leave. He rudely stormed off mumbling under his breath.

  • Beware

    1 out of 5 starsby tjefferson1 on 10/13/2016

Visited Supreme Toyota this week from Baton Rouge. Before arriving I asked (via email) for a general estimate of all fees they charge in addition to the price of the vehicle itself, not including taxes (e.g. license, title, registration, etc.). I was told, in writing, that the fees would total approximately $440. After arriving and looking over the truck (2016 Tacoma), we made an offer and were invited to take a seat in the main lobby area while our sales rep and manager "ran the numbers." Upon their return, they showed us a purchase agreement (which we had to initial) that showed only two items: 1) Full sticker price of the vehicle; 2) A $495 charge for a product called Autoguard, which they said was mandatory, non-negotiable, and in addition to any fees charged "in the finance office" (i.e. title, license, registration). My wife and I expressed immediate concern that the sticker price of the vehicle had not been discounted at all; and that the $495 Autoguard charge had not ever been discussed with us prior to our visit. We explained that we were told, via email, the only extra fees on top of the sticker price would be $440; and as a result, we were very upset to see an additional $495 charge appear on the agreement. The sales manager then offered to reduce the full sticker price of the vehicle by $500 (to "offset" the Autoguard charge), but would not agree to tell us the other, typical fee amounts (i.e. title, license, registration, etc.) unless and until we signed the agreement in front of us. At that point, we were ready to walk out. The sales manager tried to explain that he wasn't trying to rip us off; that the Autoguard product "pays for itself over time"; that he "has mouths to feed"; etc. However, it was hard to believe him: The $495 was never disclosed until it magically appeared on our purchase agreement; and he still hadn't given us an estimate of what the other fees (i.e. title, license, registration) would be. "The back office handles that," he said. "Our finance guy will take care of you." Right. We walked out. Do yourself a favor and never walk in.

I worked with Joey Chenier. He was able to find the exact 4Runner that fit my needs! The whole process did not last long at all, and my 4Runner was delivered to me within 24 hours. If anyone needs assistance with getting a new vehicle, please go see Joey Chenier!
  • First Time Buyer: Chad is the guy for you!

    5 out of 5 starsby hannah23 on 05/23/2016

Buying your first car all on your own can be a very daunting task. From which car, to which dealer, to payment plans, etc. It can be overwhelming. After a very difficult experience at a different dealership of Hammond, I was astounded by how easy, efficient, and helpful Supreme Toyota was. Chad walked me through the steps of selecting the best car for me, took me on a few test drives, and was always thorough and clear in explaining every detail of the buying process and of the car itself. He was patient, respectful, and didn't try to sell me the nicest, most expensive car on the lot, which can be your biggest fear as an inexperienced buyer. He got me a car that I loved, that would last me a very long time and worked with me on the price, as well. I would recommend him to anyone looking to buy a new/used car! Darryl, the finance man (as I like to call him), worked with me on my payment plans and was very helpful, as well. Couldn't have had a better buying experience anywhere else.

  • Excellent, no haggle pricing!

Rode by there to check out their inventory, to kill time late one evening. I didn't want to deal with any salesmen so I went after I thought they were closed for the dayI had two appointments the next day to test drive vehicles at dealerships in Baton Rouge. Micah came out and introduced himself and asked what exactly I wanted. He told me where on their lot to find it and asked me to stop by on my way out if it was what I was interested in. I did, He went and brought the truck around front, showed me some features of the truck, then asked me to step inside for 5 minutes. He gave me didn't know at the time) an excellent price. I explained my two appointments the next morning and he told me they wouldn't be better priced than him. I wasn't going to take his word for it. I went and test drove at the Baton Rouge dealerships, and attempted to deal with them. One didn't come close to the price Micah had quoted me. The other attempted to match Micah's price after telling me there was no way he could sell me my truck at the price he quoted me and told me about some hidden fee he wasn't telling me about. I called Micah after the second dealership failed and set up an appointment to finalize the deal the next day. Everything was smooth! If we ever buy another Toyota, I'm going back to Supreme!!!

Purchased a vehicle from here. Called in first and verified that it was there. The salesman Joey told me he went out and checked so that I would not have to drive all the way there. I live 3 hours away. He helped through the whole process and was very friendly. Overall a great experience.

  • Very Tricky and unprofessional

Over the course of a few days we can to an agreement on price. Through email I verified all numbers including Price, Price after T,T & L, my down payment, rebate/discount amount, and amount to be financed as well as interest rate and monthly payment; everything that was important. I spoke over the phone, through email and through text to verify information several times as well as to say "please do not try to change the numbers when I get there", "I am the 1 out of 10 and if you change the numbers I will leave". I was told several times that it would not happen; that all would be exactly as we agreed. I reminded them the morning I was on my way that I would have to drive 45 minutes one way to sign papers. I was warned about dealerships. I got there and of course as soon as my husband and I sit down with the finance man he begins by telling us how our vehicle comes with a 6 year 75,000k mile warranty. Finally he gets to the numbers and sure enough they are off by ALOT! He then proceeds to tell us, "Oh, that is because that warranty is an extended warranty and it is only an additional $28 monthly INVESTMENT". This is funny because first of all a car is not an investment and secondly, never did he indicate it was an added cost. If you are going to "sell" me something then a price should be indicated, not made out to be a part of the deal already agreed upon. Of course, the $28 still did not equal the major difference in our agreed upon deal so I asked him to print everything so we could find where the discrepancy in numbers were so we could fix it. It was in the price, they were trying to add on additional cost in at least 3 different areas and not apply the rebates/discounts they had agreed to. They are simply hoping that people won't notice or that by this point you are so tired and ready to be done you would be willing to sign. Don't fall for this here or at any dealership. Stick to what they agree to and walk away if they try to change in any way. Finally they call the "sales manager" in. This is where it really gets annoying. He literally takes out a piece of paper and tries to add and subtract numbers in several different ways trying to confuse me. It was hilarious but annoying! I am an accountant, math is my thing! I keep stopping him saying, "no, you didn't add in T,T & L" or "No, you didn't subtract rebates/discounts". He tried for several minutes to make those numbers add up to something they wouldn't and I truly believe he was trying to confuse me. Then he literally said, "these numbers are confusing" (talking about the ones we agreed to in the email and over phone). At this point I am incredibly disappointed. This is simple math: price + T, T, & L = overall cost. Overall cost - Down payment - rebate/discount = amount to be financed. Simple! I finally just said, "look, this is the deal you agreed to and if you are not going to honor it exactly then please stop wasting my time because I am ready to leave". Needless to say, I left! This was a waste of my time and my husband took off work. So many things about this aggravate me, most of all that I had explained to them and verified so many times and pleaded for them to not waste my time and I was assured this wouldn't happen. I guess they were just hoping I would go there and after all that time and energy just want to be exhausted enough to sign anything. Be careful people!

Most dishonest deceitful impolite people I have ever encountered. Sets a new low for car salesman. Bo G. (manager) is one of the worst. Darrel (finance guy) will sit right infront of you and lie to your face about how the interest rate is higher right now, but by financing through Toyota motor financial, you can refinance in 1 year with a guaranteed lower rate... Come to find out, Toyota Financial does not offer refinancing! Bought a certified pre owned truck from them. Got on the interstate to drive it home, dangerously pulling to the right. Brought it back, they said it really wasn't their problem but they'd do a courtesy alignment. Waited 3 hours. Truck still pulling just as bad to the right and now the steering wheel is cocked to the left. Called them again. Said it's not their problem, I bought a used vehicle. On top of that, they used the wrong address when submitting my registration causing my taxes to be higher. They will not release my registration until I pay them $324 for their mistake. Team Toyota in Baton Rouge is now in the process of evaluating my truck to see what the issue with it pulling to the right is. They said it's absolutely covered as a certified used vehicle it must track and drive straight on an even surface! Very nice and helpful service department at Team Toyota. Quite the opposite at Supreme Toyota. Also, when I asked them to see the carfax, they faxed a year older model wrong truck! They clearly don't have [non-permissible content removed] together. Bo G. is extremely rude and next to impossible to deal with. I will be contacting our family attorney regarding the $324 taxes they expect me to pay for their mistake as well!
