  • Exceptional Car Buying Experience!

    My wife and I had been looking for a 2017 Jeep Cherokee Latitude for several weeks and hadn't had much luck finding anything in stock at the dealerships we had visited in our local area. We decided to run up North on a Sunday afternoon to check out some suburban Chicago dealers inventories. Tyson Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram Trucks was our last stop and I've got to tell you we almost got tired of walking the lot looking through their inventory of 2017 Jeep Cherokees. The had over 100 in stock and 3 that matched up perfectly with what we were looking for. We took note of the VIN # for the Cherokee Latitude we were most interested in and emailed them that same evening through their website. On Monday morning I received a couple emails (One from Aaron Lang and one from Jason Beltran) as well as a phone call from Jason inviting us to travel up to the dealership and meet with him so that he could attempt to earn our business. I set up an appointment and my wife and I took the trip up to the dealership that following Wednesday. First off, I've got to admit that we were a little skeptical that the dealership pricing and discounts we saw online for the car we picked out would actually prove to hold true once we got there. Been THERE, done THAT with LOTS of new car dealership experiences over the years...but NOT this time! Jason immediately put us both at ease with the most friendly, knowledgeable, stress-free, no-pressure sales experience we have ever had. He went out of his way to make us comfortable with every aspect of the sales experience and he was totally respectful and courteous every step of the way. After a test drive we confirmed that the Cherokee we picked out was still the one we wanted and sat down to talk details. To make this long story a bit shorter, we ended up trading in our 2013 Ford Escape and driving home in a brand new 2017 Jeep Cherokee Latitude the same day. The best part was that it was equipped exactly as we would have ordered it from the factory and at an absolutely OUTSTANDING price with the factory incentives combined with Tysons deep discount! They even threw in a set of Jeep molded splash guards too after I asked them to! And I've also got to mention Travis Robertson who took care of the post sale financing...he has one of those great "one of a kind" personalities and was quite interesting/fun to deal with - we'd like to highly recommend Travis to all as well! After our experience with Tyson Motor Corp. we certainly can say we have a lot of respect for the way Jason and the other folks at this dealership took care of my wife and I. They worked hard to earn our trust and business and were totally honest every step of the way. No surprises, no tricks, no high-pressure sales tactics and the resulting stress you experience at most dealerships. Wouldn't believe it if we hadn't experienced it first hand!

    From the moment I walked into the door is was treated like royalty. Came in looking for a Jeep Unlimited drove out with my dream car. A Jeep unlimited Willy's edition. Great staff these folks know what they're doing. We've purchased 4 vehicles from Tyson and will continue to do so Thank you Tim, Aaron and Lindsay!

    We just purchased our third set of cars (yes set- meaning TWO) in 8 years. It is always great to walk in and feel welcomed each time. We will be back... and next time it will be for THREE as our teenage son will be old enough to drive.

    This man is an incredible salesman. As a first responder, he helped us find our perfect ram truck and helped make our payment affordable for our budget. He's not only very friendly, and helpful, but he has ambition along with a strong urge to help people get what they need. My husband and I highly recommend him. Jim and Aaron are also fabulous to work with. I'll be passing on how wonderful they are to my fellow police department coworkers.

    This place is a joke. First off they offered me 5000 less for my trade in, then Kelly Blue Book had my truck price at. Then after the numbers did not work, they offered me $4000.00 over Kelly Blue Book. We then agreed on a price and on a truck. I signed the paper and put down $500.00 on my card to hold the vehicle that I wanted. They told me on a Thursday, that they would have the truck in on Saturday morning. I did not hear anything. Saturday I called with no answer if the truck was there or not. I then called Monday to check the status and the salesman said the truck I agreed on was sold. He stated he was looking for another one (different upgrades then we discussed). Still had not heard anything as far as when one would be in. So 6 days later the salesman calls and said they could not get the truck for what we agreed on. Then said That I had to come back in to get my $500.00 that I had put down to secure my vehicle that was not there nor could they make the deal that we had agreed on. What a joke. I would expect this from a small dealership that is not very honest, but if this is how Tyson Motor Corp. does business. Very unprofessional!!! I Hope they start doing business the right way. Good luck. Make sure to get every thing in writing. Tyson also told me the other dealerships they do trades with didn't have the truck I wanted but I went to one the next day and they had the exact vehicle and that dealership said they did do trades with Tyson. Tyson said they couldn't make the deal they agreed on.

    Tyson Motors has probably the great salesman I've ever dealt with. I got the pleasure of dealing with Jason Beltran. He went above and beyond to find me my Dream Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. He not only found them but gave me a great deal! So THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to Jason for helping me find the perfect car. I also had the pleasure with dealing with JP Vaughn. Not only did he make the finance part quick and painless but he made sure he did everything he could to make the payments fit into my monthly budget. I could have done it with out these two great guy. Thank you Jason and JP. And Thank You Tyson Motors!! I will defiantly be coming back in the future

    I usually don't write reviews, but I felt I needed to spread the word about a great salesman. Matt went above and beyond to find me 2 each 2015 Promaster Vans with the equipment I needed. He not only found them but gave us a great deal. I'm in the process of buying a 2015 Dodge Ram pick up from him on Monday. Matt is the best salesman I ever dealt with. Tom Golden

    Went looking for pricing on a vehicle for my son, they wouldn't give it to me until I filled out a credit app. After I did they came back with numbers that I said were to high . My salesman said that I would get a better price if I gave him a deposit (really ?) They kept me there for over an hour going back and forth between the salesman and the managers , I finally said enough I enough and left. This is why I hate going to a dealership, how hard is it to give your best price upfront. Would never purchase a vehicle here ....

    2nd time in 2 years I tried to buy a jeep wrangler from this dealership 1st time I told the sales guy I have been a Toyota owner for 10 years but I've always wanted a jeep... Why should I buy the jeep now? His reply Either you like jeeps or you don't. WOW that's their sales tactic, I walked out. Last night I went in for the 2nd time completely ready to purchase I told the sales guy what I wanted what price range I wanted to be in, he showed me one jeep, I ran over to others only for him to say that's out of your price range. OK... I went on their website while sitting at a desk and look at that the jeeps that I wanted to look at were on sale and yes in my price range. So he didn't know the discounts being offered by the dealership he is selling for, I asked the manager about this and his reply I've been here for 12 hours I'm tired what do you want and I'll tell you the price. REALLY!! I wanted to know which wrangler package gave me the most for my dollar, I wanted a 2 door I wanted to know what was available now that we knew about the discount, salesman reply well what does your phone show that's what we got. HOW PATHETIC, manager said we train them on the vehicles not the prices, well considering he couldn't tell me the difference from one style to another I'd say they are doing a very [non-permissible content removed] job. Not to mention the jeep he was trying to sell me in a color I did not want was 32K I found the same jeep with the same options for 25K at Bettenhausen dealer in Orland Park. What a horrible experience and an extreme waste of my time. NEGATIVE STAR RATING...
    • Mrs. Buffington I'm sorry you feel the way you do about your experience. Here at Tyson Motors we try to give a customer a great experience in purchasing a new or used vehicle. Even though you didn't buy the car from us after we made a deal with you. We did get an approval from the bank that you didn't approve of. When we offered to do the deal with you, going to your credit union and you refused. Thank you for the opportunity to earn your business

    I went in honest & straightforward in regards to my possible trade in thoughts and buying position. Jake Jordan did an excellent job listening and executing the sale. I appreciate Jake & JR also allowing me to reach out after the purchase with perhaps unusual questions and answering me honesty. I appreciate no run around - ask & answer. The experience at Tyson, overall was a good one. And while I initially went in for Service and ended up not servicing my old van, I was able to talk to a few folks in the service department and I was really impressed with their knowledge, friendliness and follow through.     If you have a budget to stick with. This dealership is not for you. Unless you feel like getting laughed at. Yes laughed at. When my sales rep. Asked what the max I could go was he laughed at me. Never have I felt so disrespected in my life. I would not recommend this dealer.

    Today was the second time I went to Tyson Motor for a car, and was very happy with the results. I came with several expectations concerning the type of car I wanted and the price I could afford each month. Salesman, Rex Smiley, was exceptionally patient and low key in his approach, which I thoroughly appreciated. From the time I arrived to the time I left with my new vehicle, I was grateful for the professional service from every staff member I met and worked with.

He didn't try to pull the wool over our eyes or change prices once it came to a different point in the process. I am seriously impressed and can't wait to come back.

    I sold cars for 3 years and my dad was in the used business 20 years and I've never seen a dealership turn away money like this one! Requested one picture underneath the frame of a used truck because I would be driving 7.5 hours one way to get it and the owner tells me I wouldn't be satisfied and they would rather sell it locally after I wasted 2 days trying to get questions answered at a snails pace. That should tell you something about this whole group when I'm having to talk to the owner because the sales manager Aaron would not get off his rear and take care of business by sending me a picture. I think he was afraid because he was dealing with someone that used to sell cars. I told him I would catch any paintwork so shoot me straight. Because the Z71 stickers were missing on the bed and it was being advertised as a Z71, I ask if they would check the RPO sticker in the glove box for the Z71 code and I guess they were too lazy to do that! All they had to do was shoot me straight about the truck in the first place and not let me waste 2 days on trying to buy it and all would have been good, but it was as if they were trying to hide something about the truck. Also I had cash money to pay for it. This dealership don't have a clue so be careful and since they turn buyers away this owner Anthony won't last very long, I've seen it time after time!
    • mr, xsalesman- the thing that your forgetting to put in your write up is that YOU said if WE(the tyson dealership) missed anything on the truck that you wanted us to check out for you, that you would have a personal problem with us. so mr. xsalesman it's our truck and WE decided not to sell it to you. we choose not to have you drive seven and half hours to inspect our truck. no hard feelings. you also said that you were at other dealerships and that you almost punched a salesperson in the nose. we don't want any confrontation. we just want to sell cars. and in reference to anthony he is a very good owner and he been in business here for over 25 years.good luck to you sir. jimkinney general sales manager partner of the dealership

I recently had an experience with Tyson Motors that I was extremely unsatisfied with, and I would like to contact the owner to report my difficulties. I've been given the General Manager's name and address, but I would like to take it a step further. The owners deserve to know what kind of JOKE their business has become.     Bought a new 2010 Jeep and they were very helpful, knowledgable and the price was right on target. They worked hard for me and you can tell they are a quality bunch as some of their sales people have been there for almost decade. I would recommend them.

    After reading enough of the different articles on Edmunds, I'm always weary about buying a new car. Fortunately, I asked for a quote from Tyson and couldn't be happier with the experience. About five minutes after requesting the quote, I had an email back from Bill S. (who does their internet sales) with an extremely competitive offer for the car. I quickly hopped in my vehicle and made it down to the dealership on a Friday night about 5 minutes before they closed. While I was driving, Bill was kind enough to call and let me know that the vehicle I had requested online was actually sold that day, so wouldn't be available. Since I had already driven about 1/2 way, I continued on to get an appraisal on my trade in. When I got to the dealership, Bill had my car appraised and let me know that if I was still interested, they would find the car I wanted from another dealership and would honor the original quote they gave me (even though the MSRP had changed). While I thought the initial appraisal was a bit low, Bill and the sales manager continued to work until they could offer me the deal I was looking for. I left that night and later the next week, they had located and secured the vehicle I wanted. Since I was leaving town unexpected, Bill made special arrangements to come in on his day off so that I could take delivery. The entire process was smooth and straightforward. I never felt that they were pushy and were much easier to deal with than some of the other dealerships I had tried. All-in-all, Bill is a consummate professional and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Bill to others. The only downside that I identified was that they didn't fuel the vehicle during the prep phase. Bill let me know as we were working on the paperwork that this would happen and provided me with a $25 gas card.

    I purchased a '14 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. I personally dealt with Bill S., JP V. and a sales manager. All were awesome, Bill responded to my original e-mail quickly and informatively, and when I got to the dealership they made possible a deal for me that I didn't think I would be able to reach. On top of that they were all very friendly and I felt more like I was working with someone trying to find me a Jeep and make it work in my price range, and not someone just trying to make money off of me!

    As someone who hates car shopping and everything that goes with it..I can say that this was actually enjoyable. The salespeople were not pushy or agressive or rude as I have experienced other places in the past. I can honestly recommend this dealership as a place to visit when you are in the market for a car.
