We had chuck as our salesman . What I like about this place is after test driving a car they walk away and let you talk to each other. We got a fair price on our trade in that we were happy with. They were all very nice and friendly.

Lies, lies, lies!

The car I wanted to buy is listed at $22,750 at cars.com and has been for over a week, https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/e73da894-e756-44e0-a7f4-3ca5635f5a9e/?aff=acqgeosem8&KNC=acqgeosem8&msclkid=a090f7e28fdb191b1c2f9467f7288409. It was listed as $22,784 by CarGurus and Ozzy Flores, Development consultant at Zeigler Chevrolet of Schaumburg, emailed me info about it, listing it as $22,784. Flores also sent me a trade-in estimate of between $11,600-$12,345. I drive a 2015 Chevy Volt with only about 38,000 miles and in very good shape. After various delays, miscommunications and no communications (I should have taken these as signs for what was to come), I drove from Madison, WI, to check,and probably buy, this car. That's 124 miles each way. I drove the car while the dealership checked mine. Then we sat to talk. The salesman, Chuck, informed me that the car's cost is about $27K + many thousands more in extended warantee, Lo-Jack, etc., none of which were things that I've asked for. I protested that it's listed at $22,500 and he denied it, then said this was a Black Friday thing, which I refuted, then just sent another guy to talk to me. He also informed me that they'd only give $8K for my car. I came expecting to have to pay about $11K but suddenly it was about $22K. The other guy came and insisted that all the stuff I haven't asked for is "deposit." I disagreed. Then Chuck came back with a new offer: Ta-Dum! I'll have to pay only $21K after the trade-in! I told him he didn't have a deal and left. 248 miles + gas cost + tolls + backache + a wasted day. This is outrageous. These guys lie to your face. They are [non-permissible content removed]. Buyer beware, and certainly don't drive any length to find out what lies they have cooked for you.

Over priced, rushed and no safety checks!!

Worst experience I ever had buying a car. I went in looking for a used vehicle and the salesman David Escobar showed me a similar new Equinox for not much more. After they ran my credit and brought the papers for me to sign the total was more than $12,000 than the window sticker. After everything else they added there was an additional $8000 dealer fee just because they felt they could get it. I should have walked out then. They rush you through the buying process trying to add extra's along the way. The LoJack is already on all their vehicles so you have to pay for it in order to buy the car. They want to charge extra because it's a "Certified car" when they don't even check anything out and won't let you look at anything mechanical. The rear brake rotors were severally scored on a 22,000 mile vehicle. (I'd post pictures if I could) When I changed the brakes myself I found 2 loose & 2 missing wheel nuts. As far as the 5 star reviews, don't believe them. My salesman David Escobar asked me & my girlfriend to fill out reviews while we was still at the dealership. When I didn't give him 5 stars he asked why and insisted I give him 5 stars, that's not the way reviews are suppose to work. I'd stay far from this dealership.

Two issues with the dealership,maybe three

When a car is advertised at a certain price, that's the price I expect to pay in addition of course to taxes and certain small fees, especially when I drive four hours to get there. I am aware that because of the chip shortage some dealers add to the price of the car. I want to know this up front, not be surprised with a jacked up price when I'm ready to deal which is what happened here. Number 1 Then snuck in the LoJack to look like it was mandatory by putting it with the price of the car, fees, and taxes. Looking back, I should have asked and that's on me, but they didn't make that clear to me even when I asked what it was. Now I find out it's non-cancellable and non-refundable. It was like buying a time share. I called the next business day, got hold of the saleslady and as soon as I brought it up she immediately said she was with a customer and would surely call back. As expected she never has. Number 2 The new car also has some scratches that I was assured would be dealt with. Yeah right. We left for there that morning feeling pretty excited and left for home with a real sour taste in our mouths. The only reason we bought the car and didn't just get up and leave is because that was the only Malibu we could find with the options we wanted without going hundreds of miles to get one.

2022 Chevy suburban

After searching for months because of no inventory and comparing used suburbans to new suburban prices, I was glad that even after the 15,000 dollars extra I had to pay; it was still the best deal out there within 500 miles of my house: that is we willing to travel to. Absolutely Horrible

Not good service. Too many inconveniences. They don’t return calls or emails to customer once the sale has been completed. There is a refund of over $4,000 owed to me and they have not responded to multiple voice messages since the purchase was made in February 2022 until now June 3, 2022. I would not recommend this dealer whatsoever.

Fees, Fees and More Fees!

Terrible experience. I went there to purchase a new $37,000 2022 Chevy Equinox (VIN 2GNAXWEV3N6105483). The price quickly climbed to $50,700. When the invoice was broken down they added a $2,000 "Processing Fee" but were unable to explain what processing meant. All they said was when the car comes into the dealership it is not ready for the customer yet so the processing fee is to get the car ready for sale. They then tacked on a Ziegler Protection Plan, a $2,495 fee which is their own car insurance essentially. I told them I have car insurance and don't need that coverage and the sales person said it came with every vehicle so there is no way to remove it. Then, there was a $1,495 "LoJack" fee in case the vehicle was stolen. Again, I said I have car insurance for that but they were unwilling to remove it. The dealership added a $3,500 market adjustment which they said was standard. It's not. Good quality dealerships do not do this. I then explained my father recently retired as an engineer from GM and so I qualify for the GM Family First Discount Plan. The sales person then started to argue that I did not qualify because I am not an employee of GM myself. This is definitely not true because my Aunt got the GM discount through my dad just a year ago. The sales person then said I may qualify for the Supplier Discount. I then told him no. It is the GM Family First Discount. I asked to take the broken down invoice with me. The sales person said it was illegal and refused to let me take it or even take a picture of just the numbers with my phone. That is completely preposterous and untrue. I left the dealership without purchasing the vehicle and called my father. He was astounded. Made me sad that a GM dealership would treat a loyal GM Family like this.

Better chance getting covid than a deal

Stay away better chance of getting covid than deal . No masks no signs that ask you to wear mask no distancing favorite buzz word market adjustment . The GM Ken doesn't answer email or calls . They herd you in can't negotiate or set up over phone. Place is a mess . Way over charging . Loyalty means nothing stay away

Do not buy from this dealership!!

We were looking to buy a brand new vehicle, we called about it several times we told them how we were 3.5 hrs away out of state we got the price and set up a time to come look at it. The next day I drove there, did a test drive and then we sit down to talk numbers. They come back and not only do they not honor their sale price that we were told over the phone but also tacked on a MAP (market adjustment price) of $12,000 on top of the price they had advertised. I was told that they HAD to do this and that all dealerships are doing it as well. This was a LIE! I have called several dealerships and only ONE is charging a fee but only 2,000. I told the guy on my way out that I would be calling to find out if other dealership in fact were charging this outrageous fee and he told me to let him know the ones who weren’t so he could go buy up all there cars. This place was rude, dishonest and I would not recommend them to anyone!! We are happy to say that we didn’t get screwed by this place and that we are purchasing the vehicle we came here to buy from another dealership at the MSRP price no MAP fees!!

Brittany let me down

When Brittany promised to follow up on a used car, she failed. Not once, but 3 calls with no returns. I had to call sales manager. She was terrible and she represented used car sales. I would not buy from her even if it was an emergency. Terrible customer service, buyers beware.
