We were warned
by notasoccermum on 07/08/2013updated 06/06/2025We were warned that this dealership service was awful . figured it might be a one-off experience from a jaded customer/friend. We should've listened. Our Jeep Liberty kept having minor problems but ones we weren't willing to live with on a… new car. Within a year it was rusting from under the paint. Getting it fixed was a pain to say the least. Kept getting delayed, requiring more pictures, trying to squirm out of having to do the labor. They refused to give a ride home or a rental when labor took longer than anticipated. The rust returned. We kept getting our calls dodged. The men treated me like a moron even though i know 10x more about cars than my husband whom they spoke to like an equal. The car had electrical and window problems. When parts were ordered we never got a call that they'd come in. When we called they said whoops we gave the parts away only to have to start he process over. Some electrical issues were supposedly fixed only to return days later. We traded the thing in finally and found a better dealership. Thank god that nightmare is over and i will NEVER have to set foot in here again.Watch out for the finance guy (Charlie T.)
by steve492 on 06/16/2013updated 06/06/2025I helped my daughter buy a new Grand Cherokee last year. We picked Zeigler because they quoted the best internet price and had the Jeep she wanted. When we went to the dealer and after we thought we made the deal they said the price they… quoted was including all rebates, which were ones that she would not qualify for (Military, etc.). I told them that was a deal breaker and thought they were deceptive in their advertising. I had received an email from Fields Chrysler Jeep, when they gave their price, warning me of this deceptive practice. Zeigler eventually said they would sell the vehicle for the advertised price. Then the unethical behavior started. The finance guy, Charlie T. told us that he had gotten us a better fiinance rate because of the supper high credit score I had and that we were getting GAP insurance at no cost. We had never asked for or even new at the time what it was. Then he tried charging almost $700 for it on the paper work. This is a great example of why dealers get such a bad rap and are not trusted. Stay away from this dealer and Charlie T. The reason I am writing this now is because yesterday I bought a new Honda Accord for my wife at Valley Honda in Aurora and was encouraged to find out there are dealers out there that can be trusted. It was the best experience I have ever had buying a car. Every single thing about it was great. I can't imagine their being a better dealership anywhere. Stevesales yay finance nay
by notasoccermum on 07/08/2013updated 06/06/2025We nearly walked away from our purchase. I was 9 months pregnant and the sales guy was pretty good. Not too pushy and got us what we wanted. We were feeling good as we went in to the finance stuff. All the haggling that we'd avoided out… with the sales guy started with the more experienced finance guy. He kept trying to swindle us into add ons. When i left to use the washroom as i was preggers and it was taking forever, he began insulting my husband. Making him feel inadequate for not getting me extras. My husband was furious and dragged me out of there as i was returning. The dealership manager chased us down in the parking lot, apologized profusely, and gave us free paint protector services. We liked our jeep but will NEVER return to this dealership. It was mildly traumatizing.Jeep Cherokee
by puddingpie on 02/19/2014updated 06/06/2025Very pleasant experience. Lindsey was very helpful with my initial contact, and Aaron was an excellent salesman. The overall experience was very stress free, and the dealership stood by my TrueCar quote.Good Dealer Experience
by blkmdx on 07/12/2012updated 06/06/2025I purchased a Jeep Wrangler Sahara from Zeigler Jeep in Schaumburg, IL. The salesman Steve Schafer was exceptional and took the time to answer our questions and come to a fair price on the new vehicle as well as our trade. I'd recommend… this dealership and would considering purchase another vehicle from them based on my experience.Excellent and friendly service team
by khadra on 08/20/2013updated 06/06/2025I did not buy my Minivan from the dealership so I can't speak about the sales team but I can definitely recommend the service department team. I am dealing with Andy now for almost four years. The first time I knew him was at Napelton… Chrysler. I moved after that to Schaumburg and let me tell you how much I was pleased to find him at Zeigler Chrysler. He is kind, takes his time to explain the problem and recommend only what is required to be done. The spareparts department also, specially Tim, were helpful to me all the time and also competitive in matching other dealers prices. One more thing, if you own a chrysler don't miss the oil change offers, you buy 4 or 5 oil changes in advance but you end with less than $18 cost for each oil change. Go to their website and see the coupons, it's cheaper than NAPA or similar places in many cases.Service review
by kathy95 on 12/20/2013updated 06/06/2025I have been using the dealership for almost 8 years and have always been treated with respect. They do what they saw, when they say they will and at the price they say. Never pushy - just informative.Praise!!!!!!!!

by sheddhead on 06/08/2011updated 06/06/2025I was actually going to by my car from another dealer and had a deal signed but the car I purchase was in an accident on the truck upon delivery, so since Zeigler cared they called me to come in and they not only met the other dealers price… they gave me a van with more options and charged me less for the aftermarket rust package. There is no way around it, Zeigler cars and will beat any dealer out there. I recommend Zeigler to everyone and would recommend you to go there as well. In fact I bought my 2010 grand caravan new with 10 miles on it and one year later have 32000 miles and Zeigler still follows up. This dealer not only meets expectations they beat it!Best new car buy I've had
by dglatz on 05/05/2011updated 06/06/2025Mark Bauer was our salesman. From the moment we met him on the lot he was knowledgeable, helpful and patient. He was not pushy. Zeigler's numbers for the car and for our tradein were fair from the start. They didn't play games or mess… around. We did our homework and knew what we wanted and the range of numbers that made sense. That helped. Finance guy Al was also informative, explained everything well and did not push us to buy anything. Refreshingly straightforward experience. Zeigler's people know their products, answer your questions and listen to what you want. I will be back there next year when my wife's car is due for a replacement.Jeep Grand Cherokee

by karen116 on 12/20/2013updated 06/06/2025I own a Chrysler PT Cruiser which I adore. I have always taken it to the dealership for service and it runs like a top - to use an old phrase. My appointment times have always seemed to have been reasonable and the work has been done… efficiently and correctly. The service personnel are warm, friendly, thorough at checking that my car's service is up to date. They are also patient with my occasional dumb questions.Happy with results
by carolinec on 05/10/2012updated 06/06/2025Whenever I have needed service on my van I have been happy with the results at Zeigler. Their hours are very convenient and the shuttle service when something will take a long time comes in very handy for me. Bill and Paul have been very… courteous and helpful to me as well. I purchased my van in Michigan, but fortunately, the service is done in Schaumburg.Better experience than I expected
by abellu34 on 05/23/2012updated 06/06/2025I purchased a new 2012 Jeep Liberty from them. My salesman, Gerald, was very professional and personable. I would absolutely recommend him if you go. After I bought the car they did a great job explaining all the service options and helped… me with my financing. Be careful as they try to add things on to the final price so be on your guard. Other than that I had a pretty good experience.Town and Country on a Snowy Day in November
by tandclover1 on 11/24/2013updated 06/06/2025This is our 2nd Town and Country purchased at Zeigler. We came back because we were so pleased with our first 3 years ago. Our sales rep, Chris, was so accommodating and knowledgeable about the vehicle. He got us a price within our budget… and we just love the car. It has so many more features than our old one. I've always talked to my cars and not always kindly but have never had one that talks to me and always so politely. Technology is incredible! And also like the fact that before driving it home, Zeigler provided another great Zeigler team member named Damian who acquainted us with all the whiz bang gizmos this vehicle has and how to use them. Damian was sort of a walking and talking owner's manual who was very helpful. Also appreciate the family friendliness of the Zeigler dealership. There is a great play area for the kids, it is very clean. They even have free coffee and beverages. Think we will be keeping this vehicle for a long time but when in the market again, we will always stop at Zeigler first.Honest and Easy to Work With
by buckeye1995 on 02/14/2014updated 06/06/2025I went to Zeigler with a Truecar quote. I wanted a basic Jeep Patriot, nothing with frills. They did not try to sell me somthing with all the bells and whistles, just helped me with what I wanted. I really appreciated that. I could have… been talked into a 4X4 but they told me I did not need that, and the 4X2 would do fine for driving in snow. I told them I had a True car price quote and after a little haggling, they honored it. The only thing was that they took a little long going over everything and told me too many personal stories, which added to the time. Overall, as a woman, I would feel comfortable going there and trusting Mark and Lou to not take you for a "ride."Excellent service manager
by khadra on 11/21/2013updated 06/06/2025Where to start, a great dealership wont be a great one without having excellent employees and I was lucky to deal with such people; Andy from the service department and Tim from the Spare-parts treated me well all the time. You wont find… a review like mine, because I buy used minivans and bring them back to life with OEM parts and certified mechanics know what they are doing. I spent over $ 3500~ in spare parts and service on my recent purchase, 2008 town and country limited. This money is well spent; I fixed everything that I can think about, I got the minivan with 100K miles on it back in August 2013. To summarize, Zeigler was good to me; Tim was always able to match competitors prices and Andy always gave me reasonable estimates that brought me back to the dealer time after time.Crappy work
by awanda2139 on 10/05/2011updated 06/06/2025This is a long review, so I'll summarize: Service department does crappy work and will tell you no appointment is needed and then when you get there will tell you it'll take 4 hours for an oil change. The first sign I wasn't dealing with… an honest service department: When I purchased this vehicle, I paid $450 for them to put a tow hitch on it. I actually used it two weeks after pickup to haul a trailer. About two hours into our trip, the brake lights on the trailer are not working. When they put in the wiring for the hitch, they put the wires right on top of the exhaust!! They basically MELTED!. We were able to get them separated and taped up for the rest of the trip. The second sign I wasn't dealing with an honest service department: I call to setup my first oil change and get the wiring for the hitch fixed. This was on a Friday. I was told I didn't need an appointment. Just come on in and they'll get me fixed up in about 30 minutes. I drive from Buffalo Grove to Schaumburg for this and am told they are so busy it will take them several hours to complete the work. I left.Go anywhere BUT Zeigler
by awanda2139 on 10/05/2011updated 06/06/2025This is a long review, so I'll summarize: Salesmen lie about features that are in the vehicles. Dealership doesn't care about about the lies. The first sign I wasn't dealing with an honest salesman: I went in with very clear, explicit… wants in my next vehicle. I wanted a new Jeep Compass Limited with all the packages. I had told them I was looking specifically looking for Bluetooth, remote start, alarm, and sunroof. In order to get all these things, I had to get all of the additional packages. So, OK, fine. As they're looking for one from across the country, Joe Hegglin (my salesman), calls and asks if I care if it has leather. I said I didn't and he said they found one without leather. He wanted to me to say yes to it and they would go get it. I asked if it was the Limited edition and he himmed and hawed and finally admitted that it was not. Right there I should have waled away since he was obviously trying to trick me. The second sign I wasn't dealing with an honest salesman: After two weeks of not one vehicle with the items I wanted, I finally asked about the next step down, the Latitude version. A little later I get a call that they have one with everything in it that I wanted. I asked several times to see the window sticker, but instead he just read off a list of items that were on there. All the packages were there, so I said OK. When I picked it up, Joe went through all the buttons and pointed out all the features that were in my original request, including the bluetooth. I get home and try to setup my phone with the bluetooth and it ISN'T installed in the vehicle!!!! I searched and finally found the window sticker stuffed under one of the seats and Bluetooth is no where on it! The third sign I wasn't dealing with an honest salesman: I call and leave a message for Joe about the bluetooth. We exchange several phone calls where he tells me that it is $550 plus 2 hours labor to get it installed. I argued several obvious points and he finally said they would do it for for half price and they would eat the 2 hours of labor. So, it would cost me $225. I told him I would do it! He calls back an hour later and says the bluetooth would cost me $550 and they would eat the 2 hours of labor. NOT what we had just agreed on. At this point, I was done dealing with this [violative content deleted]! The first sign I wasn't dealing with an honest dealership: I tried to contact the manager and was completely ignored by him. No responses to phone calls or emails. The second sign I wasn't dealing with an honest dealership: I contact Jeep directly and they contacted the dealership. Jeep responded to me saying that the dealership takes no responsibility and that they offered to pay the 2 hours of labor. There is nothing I (or Jeep) can do about this.great service!!
by liberty2012 on 05/29/2012updated 06/06/2025I just bought a Jeep Liberty last week. I really like the car and the sales was a breeze. Nino was great! They do care
