by LaurenF on 11/14/2023I took in my Subaru Ascent for a 12,500 mile service maintenance appointment. I voiced a concern regarding a tire that consistently showed low pressure but never got lower than a certain psi. I chose to wait onsite. McLaughlin Subaru has… one of the finely stocked waiting areas I’ve ever been privy to waiting for my vehicle. It’s clean, has a variety of snacks ( salty, sweets and fruits!) and at least 6 different varieties of beverages. It is not a chore to wait for my vehicle to be serviced. They also provide free wi-fi and a work station is available. My service was completed within the time period I had been given. My service team took care of the maintenance and also took care of the issue of the low tire pressure at no additional cost! That type of courtesy is almost unheard of nowadays!New tires

Everyone is friendly and they always let me know when they find something during the inspection that needs attention. They changed the oil and replaced the air… filter. The waiting area is comfortable with plenty of snacks. They always wash the car when the service is complete.Just an oil Change

by 1stSubaru on 06/07/2021We now have owned our Subaru Ascent for about 18 months and have only required routine maintenance and 1 minor recall. Each time we have brought our Ascent in for service we have been met by the most courteous and professional people. The… last time when I brought the Ascent in for routine oil change and requested a couple of other routine services - they informed me that I really wasn't due yet for one of the services I requested - they could have easily done it and charged me for it and I would have known no better, but they described why it wasn't needed at that time and why they would not do it unless I insisted. That is my definition of being trustworthy.As always, outstanding service

by Octavius on 04/07/2021I am not sure which of the services this is in reference to, (1) the botched oil change or (2) the questionable shortblock replacement due to the botched oil change: 1. The staff was rushed and not being attentive when the oil change was… performed. As services were being rushed, the staff was fairly carless with vehicles in the service bay and using brooms that were being used to sweep the snow on the floor to wipe snow off customers cars. The oil change was performed carelessly causing the oil drain plug to shake loose and leak out when the car was being driven, this resulted in total mechanical failure of the shortblock. 2. When being driven with the replacement shortblock, coolant, oil, as well as rubber can be smelled. Electrical issues were observed, transmission issues ( popping out of gear, clutch issues, etc.), erratic idle, and sounds of loose components in the engine bay/area. The car is currently being looked at for the aforementioned issues, a review will follow shortly after these are completed.Quick maintenance
