Cheryl Marks is a [violative content deleted]! I had a very nice vehicle to trade-in, she actually want it, but offered a super low price after test drive my truck (the lowest among all dealers I visited). I figured out it's not worth to negotiate with her. When I got on my car, she stopped me and tries to negotiate with me, ask me "How did you come up with you price, I'm just curious." Of course she was not just curious so I didn't tell her what other dealers offer. I knew she wanted my truck but she really lose credit for that! She just expected people are moving out of the country or have little knowledge about the car. If you really want the deal, give a reasonable price, if not, don't waste me an hour. I really don't know how did she get a pre-owned manager position, I would fire her if I was the boss of that dealer.

  • The Worst Dealership Experience - no star

    1 out of 5 starsby hlc018 on 12/14/2008

This is my worst car shopping experience. On 12/13/08, I have 60 grand to buy a new car. My wife and I went to this dealer and ready to buy an Audi on the spot. Unfortunately, we waited for 45 minutes (even though there were seven sales people sitting in their cubicles chatting). I voiced my frustration to two floor manager and we were totally ignored. We should have walk out that miserable place at no time. An hour later, we felt so good when we purchased a new BMW 335i from a dealer two blocks away.

Steve and Jim Iverson are wonderful to deal with. Great buying experience. I went back 8 months later for a second vehicle.

  • Sold me a certified pre-owned vehicles with many problems

Schaumburg Audi initially appeared to be a pleasant place to purchase an Audi, but after my experience I am extremely disappointed with the dealership. I would strongly advise anyone thinking of purchasing an Audi to look elsewhere. Don't be fooled. I recently bought a 2010 model that was certified, pre-owned, with an extended warranty and still under the original manufacturer’s warranty. I was assured the vehicle was babied. Unbeknownst to me, the vehicle was sold with a severely worn clutch. A week after I took possession of the vehicle, it had problems. It would not shift properly, would get stuck at times, and would emit a burning smell. In addition, the heated seats did not work when I bought it and there was also a malfunction with the electronic locks. The certified inspection was a joke. Regarding the clutch, the dealership has claimed it is not covered under the warranty, even though there is a technical service bulletin on the issue and it failed to properly inspect the clutch before conditioning the vehicle for re-sale. Now I am stuck with a bill of about $5000 to replace the clutch. I have filed a dispute. Don’t buy from these guys. First, they improperly certify vehicles and then fail to service/cover them under warranties. They give Audi a bad name. Just because a vehicle is warrantied and certified pre-owned doesn't mean they'll cover the servicing. Be wary. Don't assume everything is all good just because it's an Audi. And I am certain this vehicle was sold with a worn out clutch. During my test drive it had an issue shifting but I brushed it off, thinking maybe it was just in my mind, and I made repeated complaints about something off with the clutch, to which they said everything was fine until they actually took apart the vehicle and then realized there was something wrong.

Went in to buy an A4 and met William C. After 3 test drives, figuring out what car I wanted, he showed no interest in working with me on hitting numbers (which really consisted of working with the finance manager). Said to William C that I needed him to work on getting the monthly payment to a specific level. Ultimately, he offered 2 finance options and then when I said we needed to get it lower, he said he had no room and I was "asking for a discount he didn't have." So when it came to it, I walked out. 1 month later, I placed an internet inquiry through edmunds for exactly the A4 I wanted. It didn't exist in the US (no exaggeration). Low and behold, William answers the inquiry. Not only did he not pay attention to the car specs I asked for (as he sent an email with 2 completely wrong cars on their lot), he then tells me that it is past the factory order deadline for 2013 cars but that he could place an order for 2104 cars in april but there was likely a small price increase. So, earlier today, I went to Audi Exchange in Highland Park (20 miles further from my house), talked to Steve R and ordered my A4 from the factory exactly the way I wanted it and got a great price on it as well. When it comes to understanding your customer and trying to get them into a car they want, Schaumburg Audi and William C missed the boat, completely. Not only did he just offer two cars on the lot, he failed to put the effort into going beyond what I asked for to find two cars in the audi system that were very close to my request (offered 1 extra feature I didn't request) - Steve R from Audi Exchange found these cars as well. In the end, I went with the custom order. Dealer arrogance is the reason I will NEVER go to Schaumburg Audi. It's the reason I went to Audi Exchange. It's the reason I will continue to go to Audi Exchange for all future vehicle services as well.

This is now Hoffman Estates Audi... I went to every dealership in the area looking for cars. Hoffman Estates Audi was the best. No high pressure sales. I went in looking for an A5, test drove that, saw the TT Quattro and wanted to test drive that, within minutes I was on my 2nd test drive. The salesman Juan A. was very knowledgeable and super nice. I would highly recommend this dealership.
  • Go see Necko Civic - he's the man

Outstanding experience for new car sales, especially in light of going to several other dealers (Lexus, Acura, Mini, BMW, and so on) and having no one that actually seemed to care about us or making a sale. Necko Civic was great, he will get you squared away, but if he's not available talk to Dan Spero or anyone else. They work as a team and they care about their product and the people they are selling it to.

They get one star only because a selection is required. It should be no stars. This was the first time I had ever had the opportunity to buy a brand new car, Schaumburg Audi made it the worst, most stressful and most time-consuming process I have ever encountered. It started on about September 10th when we contacted Schaumburg Audi through a buying service (USAA, operated through Zag.com). The initial conversations were easy. This is what we want and here is your price. We were informed that the USAA buying service required that we order the car new (Awesome!), pay a $500 refundable deposit (no big deal) and wait 60-90 days for our new car to be delivered (small price to pay for getting a car that had our names on it from the start). We did spend some time with our local Audi dealer in the Madison area to see if they would match the deal, item by item, to save us a drive to the Chicago area. They would match the price and ordering new, but the local dealer wanted $2500 non-refundable deposit and would not budge off of that. So we called Schaumburg and told them to send us the order agreement on September 15. We received the paperwork and how to provide the payment on the 16th, and were told they had already placed the order on the 15th. After signing everything and paying the deposit, we were told they would stay in contact with us as the car went through the process. As of the end of October, we had heard nothing, so we called them to check status. We attempted our sales person first (Brian), but he was not available for a few days. Then we tried the person listed on the dealer info as the representative for the buying service, Cheryl Marks. We talked with her, and she said she would check on the status and call us back, which she did later the same day. She reported that our car was on the boat and due to Schaumburg on December 3. Perfect! We called around November 30 and left a message for Brian on his office VM so that we could check ETA and make arrangements to pick up the vehicle. Brian did not return the message, so I called him on his cell phone. He did return this message and informed me that we had cancelled the car order a couple of days after signing the order agreement and paying the refundable deposit. (Our phone records will prove there were no calls between us and Schaumburg Audi personnel between September 16 and October 28.) He then told me that the inventory manager at Schaumburg had made changes to the order, adding a navigation system ($2500-3000 upgrade) and downgrading the wheels to 18" from the 19" we had ordered). After getting nowhere discussing this with Brian, we contacted the sales manager (Jim Iverson). I told Jim that we were amenable to the vehicle, but we were not paying more than the price we agreed to and the wheels needed to be swapped for to the 19" (something Brian said could probably be done, before I asked if there were any other changes and he said no, but then listed the navigation system off). Jim then searched through incoming vehicles and found one matching our order, except it had the stereo upgrade ($850) that we had not ordered, and it was not due into the Houston port until December 16. That would put the car in Schaumburg probably during Christmas week, but they were closed on the next day we could get there for delivery and he was not sure if they were open the next (Christmas Day and New Year's Day). So the earliest we could pick it up would be Saturday, January 8, far outside the agreed to 60-90 days. I told Jim that we could work with that car, again if we were not asked to pay more than our agreed to price, and if Jim made arrangements for alternative transportation until January 8. Jim said we would have to pay the stereo upgrade and he could give us a loaner car for a week but we would have to come from Wisconsin to Schaumburg to pick up the loaner and then return it a week later. At this point, the week would have given us alternative transportation until about the time the car arrived in port, but not the 3 weeks after. He then found a car matching everything except the wheel upgrade, and he said he would give it to us for the price we agreed to. I pointed out that we would pay the price we agreed to if they upgraded the wheels to 19". Jim said they didn't have anything in stock that he could swap wheels with, so I suggested they order the 19" wheels for us and make arrangements to have them installed at our local Audi dealer at no additional expense to us. The wheel upgrade was more than just aesthetics. It gave us additional height for driving in snow. He said he had to check with his parts manager to see what they could do; he came back with the wheel upgrade no longer being a factory installed, $800 upgrade at that point, so he would have to charge us for tires and wheels to the tune of $3300, but they would give us $800 credit for the 18" wheels we would swap out. Basically, we were back to $2500 in additional expense to us, and we still didn't even have our $500 refundable deposit back because of our alleged cancellation back in September. We did end up with a Q5. We did end up paying more for it (ended up with the $850 upgraded stereo), but we decided to talk to another dealer. That dealer was able to locate a vehicle within 20 minutes of our initial conversation with them and have the vehicle at their showroom within 4 days of that initial conversation. We were able to take delivery of the vehicle before Christmas (on 12/18). I wish we would have talked to them first. It was easy, fun, the sales guy was so attentive, and even listened to me gripe about Schaumburg with patience. When we got to the good dealer, the car had carpeted mats and we mentioned we needed all-weather. No problem, and off 2 porters went with haste to get the mats and put them in the car, carpeted ones placed in the luggage compartment. Schaumburg has lied in their responses to our Better Business Bureau complaint. We are now filing a consumer protection complaint with the Illinois Attorney General. We think we were baited and switched, and we were a little too wise so we saw what was happening.
  • Schaumburg Audi

Everyone at this dealership was excellent. I worked primarily with Greg Choina and he was outstanding. I purchased a car from him in around August of 2011 and he worked very diligently with me to get me the car I wanted. I usually drive manual transmission sedans so it's never an easy process locating a car with the features I want. I drove off the lot very happy and with the car I wanted. Unfortunately after about 7-8 months in that car I was involved in a 50mph crash that resulted in my 2011 A4 being declared a total loss. This is where Greg and Schaumburg Audi really showed their true colors. They told me which auto body to take the car to, who ended up doing an excellent job fighting my insurance company to get it declared a total loss, worked with me to find a new 2012 A4 and then went to bat for me with Audi Finance to make sure that I not only got the new car for the same price as the old but were also able to lower my payments by $20. I cannot recommend Greg Choina and Schaumburg Audi enough. Everyone, and I mean everyone on down to the guys in the service bay who talked tech with me about my destroyed car and the new one, was genuinely friendly and willing to volunteer their time graciously. I've had other German luxury cars before from other dealerships and I've never experienced this kind of service before. As long as I can afford Audi's I will keep buying them. They saved my life and the corporate atmosphere is so positive. If you are serious about an Audi, this is the place to go. I've read some of the reviews on yelp before posting this and I recognize that everyone has different experiences with different people or companies. All I can say is that mine was excellent and the people I worked with were direct, honest and genuinely helpful.
  • Review of New Audi Purchase

Purchased my Audi four years ago but still remember the experience very well. Salesman was very professional and communicated clearly. He was NOT pushy or sleazy or "too slick" at all! Much better experience than any car purchase I had in the past. Financing through the dealership was much better than any of the banks or credit unions that I tried. I recommend this dealership to anyone that values quality, value, and professionalism.

I've given this dealership the highest ratings because we were treated with excellence!!! Necko C. was very friendly, cordial, answered all questions & he added perks given with our used car. The building was very clean, modern & inviting. Even though our car was purchased used, it was spotless & incredibly clean. Through the process we were offered biscotti & specialty coffees! Wow what a dealership! Do not hesitate to visit Audi Hoffman Estate and see Necko or Mitch..You will love every minute spend at that store..BIG A+

I contacted Marty via e-mail, told him the model/configuration and color I wanted. Went for a test drive of a car close to my specs. When I told him specific attributes of car he didn't try and sell me car on lot but located car just being received stateside. We agreed to terms including two car trade in and signed deal. Marti then tracked car in and kept me up to date through a hectic year end period. There were no surprises. Job well done Marty and Audi. ETW
