Audi Hoffman Estates

Went in to buy an A4 and met William C. After 3 test drives, figuring out what car I wanted, he showed no interest in working with me on hitting numbers (which really consisted of working with the finance manager). Said to William C that I needed him to work on getting the monthly payment to a specific level. Ultimately, he offered 2 finance options and then when I said we needed to get it lower, he said he had no room and I was "asking for a discount he didn't have." So when it came to it, I walked out. 1 month later, I placed an internet inquiry through edmunds for exactly the A4 I wanted. It didn't exist in the US (no exaggeration). Low and behold, William answers the inquiry. Not only did he not pay attention to the car specs I asked for (as he sent an email with 2 completely wrong cars on their lot), he then tells me that it is past the factory order deadline for 2013 cars but that he could place an order for 2104 cars in april but there was likely a small price increase. So, earlier today, I went to Audi Exchange in Highland Park (20 miles further from my house), talked to Steve R and ordered my A4 from the factory exactly the way I wanted it and got a great price on it as well. When it comes to understanding your customer and trying to get them into a car they want, Schaumburg Audi and William C missed the boat, completely. Not only did he just offer two cars on the lot, he failed to put the effort into going beyond what I asked for to find two cars in the audi system that were very close to my request (offered 1 extra feature I didn't request) - Steve R from Audi Exchange found these cars as well. In the end, I went with the custom order. Dealer arrogance is the reason I will NEVER go to Schaumburg Audi. It's the reason I went to Audi Exchange. It's the reason I will continue to go to Audi Exchange for all future vehicle services as well.
