    I purchased a vehicle here and my experience was great! My salesman Tom, was very nice, applied no pressure, and actually listened. There was no pressure when making the deal and Tom was willing to work with my schedule. Because of my schedule, I could not do the deal the same day as my test drive. Tom did not hassle me or make me feel guilty by giving me the it might not be here later line. I was able to use my own financing without a problem and there was no pressure to buy things I didn’t want. If I ever have to shop again, I would definitely come to Fields.

  • Don't Go Out Their Way to Get You Financed

    Okay, here's the deal? I went to this dealership "Fields Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram" to test drive a 2002 Corvette that caught my eye. But, before I was going to take this hour and half drive -- I emailed the sales agent a few questions about (what qualification was needed in order to get financed ) -- because my only source of income is social security/disability... And my credit is excellent; Do I still qualify? Because I don't want to waste my time or your's; Salesman Response: You may have to fill-out a credit application before we can proceed... why don't you come on down and test drive the car; My Response: Okay! I'm thinking, well, lets not get our hopes up too high -- you know the old saying "What Could Go Wrong, Can". But, I stayed positive -- I had a trade-in -- a decent amount of cash on me... I'm good-to-go; So I thought! Here's where it starts to get interesting? Not to mention the 5 tollways I had to pay at $1.50 a pop -- everything seems to have a price on it these days --anyway; When I finally made it to the dealership and spoke with salesman, whos going to show me the car -- and possibly work with me in getting financed. I test drove the car I wanted -- And I liked it! My Response: Lets go run the numbers. Salesman Response: While I'm doing this, lets get your car appraised. I'm thinking, well, I did my research, using all the online tools -- you know the top rated one's ( Kelly Blue Book, Edmund, etc ) to get a general idea -- what my car is worth, calculating monthly payments, etc. These are the same tools the car dealership use to evaluate what your vehicle is really worth. But, to my amazement "Fields Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram" isn't playing by the same rules or making their own rules along the way! The number's looked nothing like I had in my hands -- that "Kelly Blue & Edmund" suggested. Are you ready for this? Wait for it. They appraised my car at $500.00. How insulting is that! This salesman had the nerve to let that number come out of his mouth or to even think that was a fair accessment of a (2000 Cadillac DeVille DTS). Was my vehicle old? Of course it was. Have very high mileage? Yes! Did it have a few rough spots? Yeah! But, you had to get up real close to see'em -- And it's 18 years old -- I get that part! But, also it still in decent condition according to "Kelly Blue Book & Edmund". My Response: How is it, that your numbers are different from these online appraisal websites-- and the tools the car dealerships supposedly use? Salesman Response: We go off of what cars sell for at auctions, here are the numbers. I'm telling the salesman (what do those numbers got to do with what others vehicles price at in some other state?) when it clearly states by the most accurate appraisal websties -- what your vehicle is really worth. I never got a straight-up answer. Just a lot of two stepping going on (you know the salesman tactic's they use) Answering a questions, but really not answering it! My Response: Why don't you just ask me to give you my car for free -- instead of insulting me with $500 -- and I'm suppose to go for that like some 'Big Dummy". I can get a better deal at the junk or salvage yard on weight alone. Do you know where you can buy a car for $500? I don't! Maybe as a down payment; But, that's as far it will go. No Deal! If, "Kelly Blue Book & Edmund" has my vehicle appraised at below: Rough Condition: $1,255.00 Average Condition: $1,338.00 **Note: According to these websites, this is what you should expected to get a the dealerships. What's wrong with this picture? Now I'm starting to feel weird. Majority of times when I get this way -- things are about to go sideways. My instincts kicked-in; Man, it was like, they (salesman and manager) didn't want me to have this car for whatever reason. Usually a car salesman -- from experience's would go way out of their way to get you into that car (no matter what)... I didn't get that! Maybe, do I dare say it; Because I was (Black)? Every where we go as a people... we don't get treated fairly at all -- and "Fields Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram" left me with that impression of them. Now for the surprise: I didn't trade my car in as I mention above. I thought, maybe I could pull a rabbit-out-the-hat ... and still get this car I wanted; I have cash on me ( what can we do now, I asked the saleaman? ). Saleaman Response: Lets run your credit and see what your score looks like and if the bank will finance you. While I was waiting for the salesman to come back. Over in the next booth -- ( I heard this salesman tell his customer "Let Me Make a Whole Lot of Calls, So We Can Get You Financed and a Good Rate" ). I didn't get that speach from my salesman. Like I said, it's like they didn't want me to have this car. Good news and Bad news: Salesman Response: You have excellent credit; But, you need a 'Co-Signer' -- your credit file is still new -- and you need some stable income. My Response: That is about the craziest thing I ever heard. If, I'm getting money from the government that's guaranteed income and my credit is excellent ( with no late payments ) -- which means I pay my bills on time -- and one major credit, that's hard to get; You're telling me there's knowone out there that will finance without a Co-Signer? Correct me if I'm wrong? Don't majority car dealerships advertise "As Long As You Have Income Coming In - We Can Get You Financed". I thought this was all the big talk about (keeping your debt low and rising your credit score in order to get financed and a good rate) for things you want to buy -- such as house, cars, furniture, etc. Otherwise your interest rates will be outragous. So, this is what you're telling me -- "I Need to Be Up Side Down, With A Long History of Being In Debt" on my credit file -- which you stated (is too new); Which by the is 1 year and 9 months old; You can't help me? Is that what you're saying? Salesman Response: Yes! So, I shook his hand, all the while the manager was standing right there... and walked right out the door. He didn't even try to go out of the way to help me either or to make me feel comfortable and not feel some type of way when leaving; He could have said "Hold On Sir, Lets See What We Can Do to Get You Financed by Somebody". That would have been very cool just doing that much; But, instead you let a customer leave unsatisfied and mad as hell for a long ride all for nothing. Tell me this, what dealership you ever walked-in and salesman didn't do everything possible to get you a vehicle of your choice. I don't know many -- they will do everything it took to get your business. To make matters worst - No One Said Have A Nice Day, Sir -- when leaving the dealership -- Wow! One Star for "Fields Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram". Just because the place was clean -- other than that it would have been zero. Word of mouth advertisement is the best form of getting the word out about a business when customers are satisfied with a purchase -- and reviews can make or break a business from growing. I would not recommend this dealrship to friends or family member's whats so ever.

    I live in Colorado and I was nervous about buying a vehicle from another state but I called to discuss the purchase of my dream car and Russ Raskin was the salesperson that helped me out - to say the least. I may have been a little "high maintenance" as a customer but I wanted reassurance that there would be no surprises when I arrived to pick up my new Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit. Russ and Adam (sales manager) were VERY accommodating and the professionalism, honesty, dilegence, respect and understanding was incredible. Next time I'm due for a new car, I'll be contacting Russ again...if he'll accept me as repeat customer.

    We picked up our new wrangler-4 door-last week. Michael was a pleasure to work with and made the whole experience very easy. We were not rushed at all in picking out right car with the exact features we wanted and he explained it to us perfectly. We were very impressed with this dealership and the free car washes for the life of the car was a huge selling point (not to mention the kids play room and bbq on summer weekends). All in all, this dealership knows their product and has the right people up front to show it off. Their inventory beat the competition.

  • 2014 Durango Citadel

    We purchased a 2014 Dodge Durango Citadel from Fields and couldn't be happier. We found the vehicle on-line and contacted the dealer via the web. They informed me that they had the vehicle in-stock, but it was at their new facility which they hadn't begun operating from. They asked when I would be in so they could make sure the vehicle was there. I made an appointment and when I arrived, it was ready for my viewing/test drive. Even though I had a 2011 Citadel with similar features, my salesman Barry E., still took the time to go over all of the features and functions of the 2014. I actually learned a couple of things I hadn't know which was nice. The process of purchasing was fairly smooth and they delivered a clean vehicle. I usually go to a local dealer by my house for my routine service, but am planning on making Fields, my dealer of choice.

  • Exceeded Expectations

    Internet Request: Started with an internet search through KBB for a 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara. Fields was the only dealer that responded with an initial quote to the exact vehicle I was requesting. All others either only wanted to talk to me by phone or sent me offers on lesser vehicles that didn't match my ask. Given initial good feel for a fair price and a vehicle exactly matching what I was looking for, I started working with Fields Jeep in Northfield. From the first inquiry, Chris Palomar was responsive, professional and good to work with. He even helped me find other ways that I could get discounts. I was able to find a company funded rebate I was unaware of that saved me some money as well. Sales Contact: When I was transferred to Eli Luber on the sales team, I was contacted promptly and courteously. After getting comfortable with him and the process, we agreed to a meeting time and date. Eli proactively asked if I was wanting to utilize financing, gave the best financing offers and suggested we process the application in advance to quicken the possible close of the deal at the dealership. Dealership Experience: We showed up as set up and was greeted immediately by Eli Luber. The car was detailed, looking sharp and ready for a test drive. We loved it. Having already landed on a price, and with all paperwork processed in advance, our time in the dealership was very limited which made the wife extremely happy. Eli went out of his way to offer help understanding the hard and soft top to the Wrangler and even offered to assist if we came back at any time. Overall: I can't say I love buying a car...I can't say that I necessarily got got the rock bottom price..., but I can say that if all of my car buying experiences were like this, then I might buy them more often. I got a fair price, was treated respectably and felt very positive about the entire experience. Hats off to Chris and Eli for treating us in a respectful, timely manner. Would definitely come back to Fields Jeep. As I had previously purchased my Infiniti up the road from Fields Infiniti...it must run in the Ownership group. Now I have to run, get the soft top down and enjoy my Jeep!

It is the first time in 30 years of buying cars that I walked away feeling like I got treated fairly and with respect.     Fields Jeep in Northfield, IL flat out knows how to make the car buying experience pleasurable. Jim M. and his team are extremely knowledgeable with their lineup of vehicles, they don't try to oversell you on items you do not need and are very competitive to the point there is no reason to go anywhere else.     I just bought a Jeep here and was really pleased with my purchase. Eli L. was my salesman, and he did a really good job. Northfield is a pretty ritzy area, and I am a pretty middle-income person. Because of this, I was initially concerned that Fields would not be game for cutting me a good deal on a middle-to-lower-end vehicle. I was wrong. I went to Fields first and got an idea of what their prices/deals were. Then I went to 2 other Jeep dealers in the city, in much more working-class neighborhoods. But, lo and behold, the prices at these other dealers were actually worse than at Fields. I also got more hard-sell pressure to buy today, or to settle for a model they had sitting on the lot that wasn't really what I wanted. The buying process at Fields was easy and friendly. Eli was very helpful. (My final concern was that, again, being a higher-income neighborhood, they would not be able to give me a good trade-in value for my old clunker with 110K miles. However, they were able to match what I was quoted at Jeep dealerships in rougher areas where there would presumably be a bigger market for cheap used cars.) It was probably 65 minutes from arriving on the lot to driving away in my great new Jeep which I love. All in all, a very good experience.

    Upon arrival we weren't surrounded by salespeople. We got lucky and were offered help by Eli, who was in the middle of his lunch. We told him exactly what we were looking for. With a no nonsense approach he went to the computer and checked the inventory. We wanted a T&C minivan, 2010, without all the bells and whistles, as the kids are now in college. He found us a really nice van, which had been used as a demo, with 3200 miles on it. He never tried to sell us "something a little nicer", and we got a great van at a great price. No bait and switch here. When we came in to pick up the van and sign the paperwork, we dealt with Paul, who was just great. We spent less than two hours for the whole process. Both Eli and Paul made the always arduous process of purchasing an auto, so easy and comfortable, and we would recommend them to anyone for a future purchase. We may be looking to purchase a BMW in the spring, and Eli will be the man for that. The BMW building is next door. They also have a great selection of complimentary gourmet coffees, and a car wash for free whenever you want. Love them!

  • Love my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee

    I bought my first Jeep at Fields almost 10 years ago, it is a Jeep Liberty. I have really enjoyed this vehicle. I was impressed back then by Fields, the sales person who is now the manager and like the fact that i can come in and get a car wash, cup of coffee or ice cream any time. Very nice perk. Each time I have utilized these perks the staff has always been very nice. Now that my Liberty is 10 it is time to get a new vehicle so the first thing I thought of was another Jeep and Fields. I did a lot of homework between other dealerships in the area that are also high volume but in the end Fields came through. Sam M. was terrific to work with, very straight forward, understanding my wants and helped me throughout the process. It makes sense to shop around for pricing, but I am sure Fields will meet what you find and all the perks Field's offer, plus new loaner cars, is something not all dealerships can come close to matching. I am a Jeep person and do like Fields quite a bit.

    Last week my family and I made the decision to purchase a new car. After listening to what we needed, our salesman, Sam Mauro, recommended a Town and Country. I was against owning a minivan until Sam took me step by step through the features. Sam was very patient with my questions and made me feel like part of his family. As much as I tried to look at SUVs, Sam kept showing me how the minivan fit better for what we needed. Thank you to Sam! We (and the kids) are loving our new Town and Country Platinum Limited. It has everything we needed and more! Anyone looking for an honest and caring salesperson? See Sam!! A side note: Sam went above and beyond to answer our questions and contact us after business hours. Sam will make buying a car a smooth process! We will never go elsewhere for our future car buying needs! After finding the car we met with Sal in finance. Thank you to Sal for explaining every detail of the process and answering all of our questions. I never felt hurried or pressured to sign up for options, and Sal made this feel like a super easy process! He definitely knows his stuff!! Thank you Sal! Fields is the cleanest car dealership I have ever been in. They even offer amenities like drinks, tvs (for the Cubs playoff games), and a kids play area! It is nice to have a dealership make things so comfortable when needing to come in.

    All I have to say is that Fields is wonderful! I don't think I will ever go anywhere else. My particular team of Max, Mike and Tony were amazing! I went in here on a whim and left super happy! I have been looking for a car for over a year and they made it happen and the dealership is a wonderful place in itself. Great atmosphere. I couldn't be happier! Thanks guys! You're the best!

    I bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee from Fields a little over a week ago. Shawn Friedman was my salesman working with me and my family. He was extremely kind, patient and willing to put up with me and my family. He worked extremely hard to get us the deal we appreciated. He did not give up and until he got us the sales deal for the car! I would absolutely recommend him 100% and will continue to try to send my friends and family to him at Fields Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram. He was not pushy at all and remained generous and willing to work with us. I could give him anything, but great reviews!
