    Finance mgr was vey deceiving inserting extended warranties not needed into the purchasing contract

    My kids Christmas was ruined and I’m out thousands of dollars. I am not a person to write reviews but for this I ABSOLUTELY WILL. The salesman was great but everyone else needs some work on customer service. Long story short they sold me… a CERTIFICATED 2021 Chevy Colorado with 31k miles on it. It was for my son and I to share. I live in Jacksonville. The dealership is in Tampa. It is about a three and half hour drive one way.My daughter drove us down there at 4am Christmas Eve morning to pick up the vehicle.It seemed to drive fine after about a 5 minute drive up the interstate. My daughter left with my son and I stayed to finish the paperwork. I got into the truck got on the interstate for about an hour. When I got off the interstate the truck was vibrating while in idle. I checked online to see what may be the issue. The cadillac converter was bad. I didn’t notice the vibration because the dealership is less than a quarter of a mile from the interstate. So the vibration that I did feel, I thought was the road and sitting idle really made me aware that something was off.As soon as I realized it I texted the other sales person who helped finish the deal and got no response. I called the dealership and spoke to Jeff who claimed was a manger. He told me the car was under a warranty and I have already purchased the vehicle and drove off the lot. So basically it was my problem. I told him after spending $30k on a truck,I should not have to drive a hour off lot and need a new transmission. He thought it would be a good idea to remind me that it was Christmas Eve and he was not going to do anything to help me and someone would call me Thursday. Thursday came no one called. So I started calling. They gave excuse after excuse of why I couldn’t speak to someone. I spent about an hour trying to get ahold of someone while at work. I finally got ahold of Collin who is some kind of manager . I explained the situation again. He tried the whole “covered with a certified warranty (12 month/12k miles).” I explained again that I did not want to spend $30k on a vehicle that at 31k miles already needs a new transmission and it appeared that there was also some radiator issues with it holding fluids having a one year 12k mile warranty on a vehicle,I would expect to keep forever was not suitable.I then asked him about the document that I signed that I had one day and so many miles to be able to return the vehicle. He tried to tell me that such a document did not exist basically calling me a liar.But I know what I signed.He then tried to tell me that they could try to put me in another vehicle there and I also stated that was unacceptable. That I did not trust the dealership and just wanted to return the car. He said to bring it back. My children and I drove all the way back down there to return the vehicle at 5am Friday morning.I put a $18k down payment on the vehicle and was told that it would be credited back to my account by the end of the day.So I am now looking for another vehicle for my son and I.Most good deals are done at the end of the year.I was able to find one but they didn’t refund my money.So I cannot buy another vehicle until they refund it.I have spent most of my day going between the dealership and my bank because they both keep blaming each other of why my money isn’t returned.Come to find out the dealership didn’t process the refund the right way which is why it has been 4 days now and I still have not received my $18k back and have been told it will be even longer.I have now lost two different vehicles purchases because I could not buy them and being told it will be several more days before my account will be credited which will put me receiving my money after the first of the year after all the deals are over. I don’t blame the dealership for the faulty truck,I blame the unmanned mechanic who certified a vehicle, the way I have been treated and all I have lost. These are not all the details but the highlights.

    it was an ok experience, but ill have to think again about taking my vehicle here. I paid for installing the part twice, the website charge me for 150 then the advisor charged me again, for another 150, plus i had a free oil change, that he… didnt credited

    I began to hear about Ferman from friends and even random mechanics in the Sarasota and Clearwater area. My sales person Christine Cunningham was amazing. She was incredibly patient, kind and knew her job inside and out. Not once did I… feel like I was being taken advantage of. That was a great experience. I will buy from Ferman and Christine again.

  • STAY AWAY FROM FERMAN CHEVY

    BUYER BEWARE: Bought a NEW 2023 Equinox from Ferman, within 2-weeks vehicle had a problematic/intermittent electrical problem. Brought car back and was given a Loaner..... they then had my car for 2-MONTHS without repairing it. After many… discussions, they finally stated they'd replace the car. When I arrived to complete the exchange, a Service employee arrived at the Salesman's desk to miraculously exclaim "The part just came in and your car is fixed". I was actually relieved, because I didn't want the paperwork/insurance hassle of an exchange. Within days, problem returned; I contacted Ferman and asked to go thru with the exchange, but they refused. I now believe that they just used that promise to get me to return their Loaner; I'm also suspicious of whether they actually replaced the part they claim they did. I am now forced to pursue a Lemon Law Claim, or find a REPUTABLE Chevy dealer who can actually fix the problem, AND tell me if Ferman really did replace any parts! ** FERMAN WILL NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS OR HONOR THEIR PROMISES ONCE YOUR CHECK CLEARS **

    As a Catholic nun I was given the job of buying a new SUV that would support a lift for my scooter. I was informed by the Mobil company that would transfer the lift from my present car to the new one that the Chevy Equinox was one of the 2… cars that could support the lift. My community gave me the amount that they were willing to pay and that it should be a 2020 or a 2021. Gary Funke the salesman who worked with me was able to find a 2021 that met the requirements that I was given. He was positive, kind and thoughtful as we tried to meet the price, year, model and color that I preferred. I have recommended bot Ferman and Gary to many of my friends and coworkers who asked about my new car. Thank you Gary and Ferman for your help.

    They upgrade the software on my car due to a recall. and the Bluetooth on the radio is not working anymore. The connection with my phone is not working either after this upgrade. I contacted the representative to schedule a new… appointment to get this fix and he has not returned my call not text. I am highly disappointed.

    I wish that I could give a negative star. Service is too busy to honor appointments. After 2 hours of waiting in the dealership, the car never saw the inside of the shop. The key broke off the fob. They could not re-attach the key to… the fob and charged us even though we purchased an extended warranty. Told we are starting to look for a new vehicle, service manager shrugged. Because the service department is so awful, we will not purchase our next car from this dealership.
