Masters of FALSE ADVERTISING
by Paul Newman on 03/27/2025Steer clear of this dealership. They are dishonest and their fees are outrageous. I recently attempted to buy a $35k truck and they tried to charge me $5,000 in fees, not including the tax. They wasted a bunch of my time and only made an… effort to reduce the fees after I had left a review. They claim that they advertise a lower price (which they call a "pricing strategy") because the market in florida is very competetive. Cry me a river. Just be honest guys.I spent 10 hours waiting for simple work to be completed!
by Paul Hertz on 03/20/2025I am 73 years old, and the recent service experience at the Southern 441 Toyota dealership was probably the worst I have had in those many years of experience. I had made an appointment for the routine 20,000 mile maintenance and to have… the brakes checked because it had been suggested at the last scheduled service appointment at a different dealership. I was told by the service rep that it would take 1-1/2 to 2 hours to complete the work, so I opted to wait. The regular servicing went like a charm, but the brake inspection revealed that I needed new rotors and brake pads on all four wheels. After an hour or two, I was told that they did not have the parts in stock, but they could have them delivered within an hour. I chose to wait. A couple of hours later I was told that the parts had arrived, but they had ordered the wrong size rotors for the rear wheels. The front brakes were repaired, but I would have to return the next day to have the rear brakes done. At that point I had been at the service center for 7-1/2 hours. I returned the next day after learning that they had the parts, but it still took 2-1/2 hours for them to change the rotors and pads on the rear brakes. Over the course of two days I spent a full 10 hours waiting for the work to be completed. In fairness, everybody working there was friendly and polite, and they did offer to ferry me to and from my home while the work was done, but this is the only car we have here, and I did not want to be stranded in a gated community without any transportation. The dealership also reduced the price of the work from about $1600 to about $1350. But I am still very unhappy with time it took to complete the work. I will try another dealership the next time the car needs attention.Not Trustworthy
by NP on 12/19/2024I purchased a car from the Southern 441 Toyota. I have attached the sticker on the car. As per the sticker Appearance package was included in the purchase price. Once I left for home and I noticed car did not have wheel locks as per the… sticker price. It is easier to notice. I am not sure they have done paint guard or fiber guard, it's not visibly noticeable. I went back to the dealership and spoke to the manager and said we don't include the wheel locks because customer looses the key. He would not listen to my side and interrupting my genuine complain to resolve missing locks.Beware of the fees

The salesman was fantastic overall, although there was a misunderstanding regarding the prepayment penalty on the loan, which turned out to exist despite… being initially told otherwise. The finance person, was pleasant, but this raised a flag of suspicion for good reason. While she did acknowledge a $75 prepayment fee, she omitted mentioning a $150 loan processing fee despite my direct inquiries about additional charges. It's important for anyone considering business with them to thoroughly scrutinize the contract, specifically examining the last line 7, which indicates the amount financed—only encompassing lines 3, 4, and 5. An additional line item of $150, deliberately placed higher up, could easily mislead consumers. During negotiations, the manager attempted to incentivize a 5-star Google review with monetary compensation. I declined, as I value honest reviews and had already communicated my intention to provide an unbiased account of my experience. I cannot recommend this dealership due to the obscured fees and attempts to influence reviews.Mark your tires before getting rotation! [non-permissible content removed]
by Lisa Gordon on 10/11/2023Brought my truck in for oil change and tire rotation and 45 mins later the service advisor tells me my truck is all done so I look over the paperwork and sign for the 2 services I received or at least thought I received and proceed to get… in my truck and decide to look at my tires that I purposely marked before handing them my key and what do you know, the tires were never rotated! They were shocked when I noticed and said how sorry they were and took it back to rotate my tires that they just said they rotated! How foes a legitimate dealership get away with this unscrupulous work. The service manager was useless and tells me he'll have a talk with the tech that lied! If it was my employee he would be out the door! That's some serious BS right there !Dishonest

Calling them would be pointless since there is only one person who picks up the phone and trying to act like she knows everything. No respect for customers or… your vehicle. The tinting job was horrible left alone the mess they made on the back. I have been with Toyota since 2016 working multiple events but going to this dealership completely ruined it for me.I have been taken - a bad case of buyers remorse
by beenScammed on 03/29/2019STAY CLEAR OF "FAST EDDIES" SOUTHERN 441 TOYOTA! I didn't plan on buying new; but I negotiated a deal on a Tacoma 4x4 TRD which included factory 75,000 mile bumper to bumper and lifetime drivetrain warranty plus tax licence etc. For… $40,000 out the door . The finance guy was evasive but after 6 hours of being held hostage, i was able to leave. Because of having to split my down payment I was told that he would need to write up a second set of paper work that i would pick up when i brought in the balance of my down payment. stupidly i didn't look at the second set of paperwork which he had re written and put in a sealed envelope. it wasn't until i was talking with the financing one day since, I figured out what they did. In addition to the $40,000; They charged (stolen from me) almost $5000.00 for the warranties, tax etc... that was suppose to be included in the $40,000 out the door price! Amazingly the finance and sales guys are no longer employed there and i was basically told by 441 financing...Tough Luck! Please do your self a huge favor and and AVOID "Fast Eddies Southern 441 Toyota" ! ! ! I wish I did!The Southern 441 Bait & Switch....Buyer Beware
by hgr1976 on 09/14/2018I understand this dealership is under new owners however please ensure your new sales employees are thoroughly trained with pricing. I was under the impression the vehicle I was interested in was being discounted more than what was depicted… on the "internet pricing". After spending two hours at this dealership we couldn't come to terms on the pricing. I understand learning curves happen but please don't try and persuade your customers to purchase a vehicle they don't want to make a quick buck on a error that was made on behalf of your employee. I advise anyone visiting this dealership to get everything in writing before doing business with Southern 441.

Same exact thing happened to me but i got brand new car and finance manager rushed me out of office said he has someone waiting for him and to go get insurance for car. Came out with envelope sealed and gave me keys and they showed me all the nice iphone chargers and accessories i thought came with car. I didnt pick car, they did and it came with tinted windows as well, so i ended up with over $6000 in warranties and maintenance plans on brand new car that already had them, and $1000 for add on accessories. Why would i need that when i have 3 year warranty with new car and even road hazard twice. So my car turned out to be a lease, unknown to me at time, no rebate, and payments over $500 with very large down payment.
