Questionable Service
by Hksig130 on 01/26/2019Well, I had a bad experience last summer when I took my new 2500HD in for abnormal tire wear. The tech checked alignment then took it for a "test" and basically drove my truck like a hotrod causing contents to be turned over and Onstar to… indicate numerous "Hard Accelerations" on a 3 mile drive. Fast forward to now. I had to add coolant to the truck in October to get the "Low Coolant Warning" message to go away. I have been monitoring since then and noticed a drop in the coolant level indicating a possible leak or consumption. I decided to give Dyer another shot and took it in. The tech had the truck for about fifteen minutes and then asked me to walk over to it with him. He explained a few things about the coolant reservoir and fill procedures and apparently topped it off. He turned the truck back over to me and I went inside to get the receipt. On it was indicated that he did a thorough inspection; vacuum tested system; test drove for 3 miles; second vacuum test; etc. The problem is, the vehicle never left the dealership and I really don't think he had time to do (2) vacuum tests. I verified the truck never left via Onstar driving activity. My concern was that if there was a problem in the cooling system it didn't really get checked out. It was only topped off to hold me over a few months. Seems like the tech cut some corners here and embellished the notes. This really stinks because I guess I am gonna have to drive to the Vero Dyer (20 miles) whenever I need something done.Nobody cares at Dyer Chevrolet!!!
by Troyhall06 on 12/31/2018They had my car for two weeks never found an issue but fixed something on it charge me for it return the vehicle to me on fixed then I return it to them to weeks later to repair the problem prior to taking it in they gave away my loaner and… then proceeded to say they couldn’t fix the problem because it was an aftermarket part and it was unsafe to drive off the lot but they sent me out the door anyway .An excellent place to do business
by Itsamtwo on 10/03/2017It is truly a pleasure doing business at Dyer Chevrolet. I have dealt with Brad (sales rep) on three vehicles & look forward to doing business with him again in about 3 months. It is always a pleasant to do business with an organization… that cares.Disappointed and frustrated
by Brockport on 06/13/2017updated 06/29/2017My car was serviced on May 17th just before I had to leave for New York. At the time it was fitted with new brakes and rotors in the front. The car seemed ok until I got to my first stop in Virginia. It was as I left 95 and had to brake… going shorter distances, I became aware of grinding noise. This continued throughout the trip whenever I had to brake for lights or slow down. After returning, I called a mechanic who said that I had probably had some rust which had not been removed when the new rotor was put on. This week I was able to get my car to Northstar Chevrolet in Clifton Park, New York. Upon inspection, the following three determinations were made by the Northstar manager: 1. I had paid a very high price for materials for which they would have charged around $180 not $290. 2. The pad used was not of the best quality although the rotor was fine. 3. Rust had been left on the hub and was rubbing against the new rotor. I called Andy at Dyer. He said that he had no control over pricing as that was set by the dealership. He also said that he felt the labor cost was on target. However, he agreed that the rust on the hub should have been removed as part of the brake service. Andy said he would address this at a staff meeting. As you might imagine I do not feel that I had a satisfactory experience and was disappointed to learn that the job I paid "top dollar" for was not done with the precision that I would expect.Great sales experience!

by Traverse14 on 06/16/2016Almost a month ago we get a 2014 traverse and on the 2nd day we noticed a hugh roach problem since we were driving at night. Called the dealership and brought it back. We had to do this on 3 different occasion with no result, more roaches… came out. The GM and sales manager of DYER garenteed the problem would be fixed yet they still have my car in the shop. Since memorial day we've had this issue only had the car for 2 days. We had a 5 month old baby that cant ride in her car cause im to afraid of a roach from going into her ears or nose. How can DYER CHEVY OF FT PIERCE sell roach infested car and not be proactive in addressing the issue.Quick and Painless
by Leesfish216 on 05/30/2016I walked into Dyer Chevrolet on a Tuesday morning looking to buy a newer used Equinox (2013-14) at a fair price and I found it. I knew what I wanted and that made things a little easier for both of us, cash and a clear title on my trade… (2011 Equinox). My salesman was Billy and we hit it off right away he is a GREAT salesperson, friendly and knowledgeable about the product he sells. The more we talked the better I felt about the deal I was about to make. Billy then introduced me to Shannon the sales manager another GREAT guy that makes you feel important and glad that you came in for a visit. These two guys makes you (the buyer) feel like family and happy to come back again. It was quick and painless I was in and out in about an hour and a half and driving my newer Equinox. My brother is moving to FL next month and we'll definitely be back for his new truck. Dyer Chevrolet is a great place to buy a new vehicle. Thank you, Harold BurnsGreat Honest Joyful Purchase.
by Mpascaretti on 01/07/2016updated 01/25/2016The easiest car buying experience ever. TyProfessional and Friendly
by S_SSpray on 01/19/2016I found Dyer Chevrolet through Auto Trader using my customized search for a GMC Sierra 1500 truck. After providing my contact information on Dyer's website, I received a phone call to set up appointment to see the truck. My husband and I… work full time and weekends are spent on our household "to do" list. The appointment was for Sunday afternoon and after starting a yard project I nearly forgot about the appointment. My husband didn't want to stop what he was doing and sent me, thank goodness I didn't make a stink about it. I drove the 30 miles only to find out the truck was locked up in the body shop. I was so thankful my husband didn't stop what he was doing because we would not have gone back. The sales guy Jason Campbell was genuinely friendly and apologized for the scheduler who made the appointment for not verifying the truck's availability. Jason gathered as much information about the truck that he could while I was there including pictures because the website only had a stock photo. He also downloaded the vehicle's build list and reviewed it line by line with me. The information was all extremely helpful to me in deciding if this truck was worth a second visit. Jason was very knowledgeable about the vehicles components. My husband and I drove back the next weekend and test drove the truck. We negotiated on a satisfactory price and Dyer allowed us to drive it home and have our mechanic inspect it the next day. Our mechanic gave it the thumbs up and the next evening we closed the deal. Jermaine assisted with the paperwork and again professional and very friendly. We actually enjoyed the entire process. S&SGreat experience
by Arrgill4 on 12/13/2015Our purchase was last minute. Brad Wilkenson was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and patient. Very good experience from start to finishFrom tire kicking to buying done easy.
by Bernie_A007 on 10/22/2015My wife & I decided to do some tire kicking this past Sunday since we were considering buying a new larger SUV, but were not sure which brand was best for us. We hit several dealerships along US 1 and saw several we liked but when we got to… Dyer Chevrolet, Ft. Pierce, FL, we were greeted by John Giarratana. Right away it was clear this would be a " no pressure" look. John took plenty of time showing us a few SUV's and explained all the features of the Tahoe, which was what we were interested in by then. After a while, we went inside and it didn't feel uncomfortable at all. He checked inventory, and explained he had a nice clean 2014 Silverado LTZ, which said might be better since it gave us both what we wanted ( me a truck & my wife the SUV). We went outside again and he showed us a very clean truck, which had everything we were looking for, but at a much lower, manageable price. After he showed us & explained this vehicle, we said we would come back Monday to further discuss price & trade-in, and John did indeed work hard to get us a great price. We met his Manager, Joe Noach, who made the end negotiation very painless, and we came close to our price for our trade-in. John & Joe handled all the paperwork and vehicle prep, and today (Thursday) we took our "new" vehicle home and are already enjoying all of its features. We are both very happy since John saw a way to get us both what we wanted, and we are very grateful to him for taking so much time to explain & show us all the features and benefits. We also had an opportunity to meet some of the parts guys, and they too are very easy and pleasant to deal with. Stop in and do yourself the favor of getting a great deal, and having a pleasant experience at the same time. By the way, we are both originally from the New York area, and are used to "car sales people" and have seen some very bad apples, but not at Dyer. The managers and owners should be very proud of their employees, since they are the face of the dealership and are doing a great job!Great, friendly service
by Bonbon9233 on 01/20/2015Mark Heyman was friendly, patient and extremely knowledgable. Joe Noach was was super friendly and very helpful as well. Both guys worked hard to get me a great deal on a SUV I love!! I live in Viera but would happily travel to see Mark… and Joe down in Fort Pierce again. I won't buy my next car from anyone but Mark and Joe.What an outstanding dealership!
by ericcapt777 on 11/17/2014I had worked with Ernie Abbott before. He is probably the most fair, honest GM that I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I purchase upwards of 4 to 5 brand new vehicles per year for myself and family. Dyer Chevrolet gives you… that "family" hometown dealership feeling. My salesman, Joe Oberlander knew his stuff and was a no nonesense "get it done" type of guy. After my purchase, I was greeted by Will Dyer who sincerely wanted to know what he could do to make my experience better. Honestly, I could think of nothing that would have enhanced my experience other than perhaps, having Dyer Chevrolet pay my home mortgage each month. LOL Take it from a frequent vehicle buyer who in the past 3 months purchased a new Mercedes, Jaguar, Toyota, GMC, Cadillac and now this Chevy... Dyer Chevrolet is the best!
