by Bob on 07/27/2022They charge roughly $1,000 for "dealer fee." Add that to advertised price on Edmunds oven suddenly "great deal" is not so attractive.The WORST Way to buy a car...fortunately I didn't.
by DisappointedDad on 10/21/2021Walked into this "dealership" and was immediately struck by how busy they were. There were a ton of sales people, most of whom were in jeans, short sleeve shirts and baseball hats. After waiting 10 mins I finally got to speak with a… "salesman", more like an obvious [non-permissible content removed]. I told him I was there to look for a car for my daughter who wasn't with me. He asked if she was coming and I said no she wasn't. He asked me if I knew what I was looking for and I gave him a general idea. AWD, reliable, in my specified price range. I could tell he was annoyed but proceeded to look at his list of "over 700 cars". He settled on a car and told me he would go get it from his lot. 20 mins later he came back with a car that barely ran. At idol the car sounded like it was going to fall apart. He told me I could take it for a test drive but when I looked down at the gas gauge it showed empty with 000 miles left in the tank. That would have been one interesting test drive. I politely declined. Upon walking around the car I saw a clear spot on the paint where the car was obviously rusting underneath. I pointed it out to him and he goes "yeah, I just noticed that too". All the while he's showing no interest in really helping me. As I was leaving I got talking to another customer who happened to be looking for the same thing I was looking for. He told me he had first tried to go and walk their lot to see what they had available and was told he couldn't do that. He too waited 20 minutes to see one car and the car they brought down to him was a total clunker. Just like me, he walked out of there with no intention of coming back.A bitter day at “Better Way”
by Frankie Corniel on 01/25/2021I don’t usually pay attention to bad reviews, I like to form my own opinion. But this place should be named The worse way to wholesale autos. I walked in Jan. 25 2021 looking to trade in for an AWD car for my family. Walked in, was greeted… poorly with the most unbothered “how can I help you?” in my entire life. I get better from the drive thru lady at McDonald’s. Guy didn’t even offer me a seat in which I was confused if I should take a seat or not, so I seat myself, no big deal. I told him my desired car and what I have to trade in. He gives my keys to his “manager” and sat back down like I wasn’t even there, to just continue to laugh at Facebook videos, pick at his cuticles on his desk with his nail clippers (gross) and had his mask hanging of his chin while sniffling & wiping his nose with his fingers while I’m sitting across his desk with the most awkward silence ever. Not to mention we’re still in the middle of a pandemic and there’s literally associates walking around with no mask or masks hanging off their ears. Hate to be the “wear your mask” person but my wife literally saw someone decline a test drive because the associate riding along said he didn’t have a mask. I even heard employees word for word ask each other about W2 forms like they don’t have customers sitting right in front of them. I can not make this up. I snatched up my keys and walked out of there not looking back. If this place carried itself with more dignity & their employees showed some respect for their customers or at least themselves and at least dressed like a car salesman instead of garbage man they’d be more successful. Just.. don’t.Definitely not "A Better Way"
by Bill B on 10/06/2020Do your research. If your looking for a cheap used car with accident history or structural damage and not properly cleaned then this could be the place for you. I was willing to overlook the bad reviews and give them a shot. I test drove… the car I was interested in and negotiated with the salesman to make several repairs to the car before I would take it. 2017 Ford explorer 21k miles $24k. After 10 days I was called to come and pick up the car. Kent tried to push me through to finalize financing prior to looking at the car thank goodness I asked to see the car first. Long story short is that even after twice coming in to pick up the car they have still not repaired the car after 2 months and now tell me that they will not make the agreed upon repairs. Total waste of time and they are also trying to keep my $1000 deposit. If you do decide to purchase here do yourself a favor, if they make any promises to you make sure you have them listed on your purchase agreement. On the top right of the contract there is a section "written promises made to consumer". If you leave this blank they are not going to preform the work and will try to keep your deposit when you want to walk away from the deal. Look the dealer up in the CT superior court there are dozens of lawsuits against this company. They also have a D rating with the Better Business Bureau. Run! don't walk away from A Better Way Auto.Really bad service
by Victor on 07/10/2020I bought a 2017 outback from this dealer. Less than a month later a have to come back because it was losing oil. Went I got to the dealer I stand at the door waiting for someone to help me. Even went I can see a lot of sale people doing… nothing none of them ask me if I needed help. I wait for more than 5 min went a couple of white ladies enter and the salesman on the desk right in front of the door Immediately call them inside. At first I tough maybe he know them and I stand there for another 5 minutes went another white guy stand at the door next to me. The lady on the desk right next to the door didn’t wait a second to ask him if she can help him and ask him to sit. At that point it was clear to me that I couldn’t expect any of the white salesman to help me. A couple if minutes later a spanish salesman return to the office and finally ask me if I needed help. I’m not accusing anyone of racism but they really make me feel unwelcome. They need to change the way they interact with costumer.Great experience

He listens and try’s to get you into the car you’ll love and not just like. Never had any… issues and when I do need something looked at TJ at service is great and waist no time to fix any issues. Last but not least Trooper makes the paper work fly by and makes everyone around laugh from the time you walk in till you walk out with your new car!
