Wrong diagnosis but they still charged me
by Tamscedes on 08/07/2024I paid $1600 for a part I didn't need nor did it fix the issue I'm having w the car. You will not reimburse me and now telling me I need a steering rack for $9000! That's not even the issue. Sell off your service portion of the business as… I don't know how you are even licensed to fix cars. No wonder you charge $400 an hour. You ROBBED me! How does it feel?Disappointed
by Gina on 01/28/2024The same problem occurred exactly one week later after being serviced. The battery was only two years old. Mercedes insisted it was only the battery. Bought a new battery and the car ran exactly one week. The service person happened to… call that week to see how the car was. I told him the car was good for one week and is now sitting in the driveway with the same problem. I was told he would talk to the mechanic and get back to me. No call received. It is now over a month.Servicios
by Julio santiago on 07/06/2023I took my Mercedes cla 250 year 2014 the first time I took if for 2 problems and I waited more than 2 weeks for them to return my vehicle and pay the amount of $ 4,041.57 and the same day that the vehicle was delivered to me other problems… appeared that the vehicle did not have I had to wait 1 month for them to check my vehicle again and it has been at the dealer since 6/20/23 and to this day I still don’t know anything about the vehicle and they have never given me a courtesy vehicle this dealer did not give it to them I recommend to anyone 🤬[non-permissible content removed], arrogant, rude.
by T Brown on 06/28/2022After reading the reviews I still decided to give them a try and now I see that the other minority customers that were treated poorly were spot on and these managers are [non-permissible content removed] and treat minority customer without… respect. I went in to make a purchase, drove over 1.5 hours to pick the car up the next day with a check in hand. The business manager in charge of registering & titles was not only rude but not knowledgeable in his role. The sales woman brought us into his office and he didn’t speak to us and said “I was going to come out there” instead of us coming to his office”. Fast forward to the [non-permissible content removed] PO Sales manager being rude, and telling me, a customer that drove 1.5 hours each way, 2 days in a row, that he wasn’t going to look into the issue or try and solve the problem instead he told me to leave and we are going to part ways. Very unprofessional I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.DO NOT BUY HERE!!!!
by RO on 06/15/2022Worst buying experience I've ever encountered. I went to purchase a vehicle had a pleasant experience with the sales person Mike. I proceed to ask the manager JOE SAJDA if there was any wiggle room with the pricing of the vehicle. He told… me flat out no!!! Ok cool the price is the price. I crossed out the vin etch fee of $399 and nitro fill fee of $299. The manage Joe Sajda told me i had to take these options that i didn't want. Otherwise he would not sell me the car. Well hold on there buddy. it Cleary stated optional on you purchase order!!!! What he didn't know is that i'm in the industry and ITS ILLEGAL to tell me this. he refused to sell me the vehicle if i didn't purchase an optional service. so at this point I feel discriminated against. Now i feel like its the color of my skin. I'm cleary telling you i don't want to purchase something i'm not obligated to purchase so you refuse the sale?????????? or is it because I'm black and someone else who isn't black will purchase the vehicle with out this optional service!!Arrogant service advisor

At 7:10 a.m. the service advisor Jonathan Karimi prepared the paperwork for the service for $260 and advised that it will take around two hours because it… is a "special procedure". I expected that for the price that is double compared to other dealerships the service would take a double amount of time also. At 8:00 a.m. I observed that the car wasn't even moved from the place I left it. When I asked the service advisor the answer was "I told you two hours". I asked for the car back and his response was "take it, the key is inside".Disgusting Customer Service
by Tiff on 03/24/2022Probably the worst customer experience I’ve ever received in my life. Not only were the staff extremely unprofessional, condescending, irritable when asked basic questions, but they hung up the phone on me several times “on accident”… various days when I would call to check on the status of my vehicle. Everyone I spoke with had different answers. “I ordered your part”, “I don’t know where your part is”, “You didn’t pay for anything so we ordered nothing” “Your part is here”. Ridiculous! No one had real answers until harassed. Even Mercedes headquarters said they could track the item and see where it was in progress. Also dishonest with pricing. The price increases for a job they’d determined during a service appointment a month prior was highway robbery. How did the price of something simple increase by $500 just a month later? (Increased labor fees) Other Mercedes’ locations as well as a outside dealership warned me in regards to this location that the pricing was unreasonable and the customer service was nonexistent. Unfortunately my car had already been towed to this location. The other dealerships ended up being correct. I’ve never heard such sarcasm when talking to staff until I got to this location. From the servicing staff to the managers, (Both named John) everyone always sounded as if they were having a bad day and were uninterested in their customers. Sarcastic responses and annoyed cadences to minor questions. My car sat for several days at this dealership and when requesting a loaner every excuse was given that none would be available. Magically when my part arrived which meant I would have to pay for the entire job ($2400) now they were able to find a vehicle within the hour. Negating the fact I had to call out of work that entire week due to no transportation. The afternoon they completed the job I was harassed to bring back the loaner even though I had extended time based on their loaner policy. The supervisor also told me he’d drive my car to me (because I was working) and I can pay now & to give them their vehicle instead of waiting less than 3hrs for my return. When I finally came to get my vehicle, the outside was still dirty. Hadn’t been washed at all. Even when Mercedes services a vehicle or does an oil change or any service whatsoever they wash the car. I guess the minor rain drops that day were sufficient. The staff act as though they are doing us a favor by fixing our cars and with the amount of money paid at a LUXURY dealership this treatment is disgusting. I will never return to this location or patronize this specific location again. Even a quick phone call to the North Haven Mercedes dealership was profoundly different along with the pricing for the same job. The staff were cheerful and eager to assist with any concerns. Next time I know where to have my vehicle towed to. DO NOT spend money at New Country Mercedes Hartford location! The positive reviews are from their own staff! by pomfsjosephm on 07/23/2016Let me start that when I was initially going to buy a Sprinter for our business I was hassled, pushed and relentlessly contacted by other Mercedes dealerships. I had the pleasure to deal with Dan Sullivan of New Country and he understood… we're in business and businesses buy vehicles. He provided in-depth information and had the most knowledge about Sprinters and he never pushed us once. After dealing with so many dealerships we were so happy with his professionalism we decided to move forward with him and we actually ended up driving away with a 4x4 Sprinter at a very comfortable price. He did everything including setting up complex logistics to get the Sprinter we wanted. Fast forward 1700 miles later. The Sprinter's transfer case locked up when driving down the road we had a previous issues engaging and disengaging the 4x4. At 8 pm Dan answered his email and told us who to call. That evening our Sprinter was put on a flatbed and brought directly up to new country the very next morning they took a look at it almost first thing and they have found there was a defective transfer case and internal gearing problems they order a new transfer case and believe it or not they had it swapped out and the truck ready the very next day! They have the van done one day early than what they initially told us I would incredibly grateful because they know this truck is what we used to make money for our business. I couldn't be happier with the sales staff the customer service and the technicians at new country they have rightfully earned our business as a company and being a business owner myself I appreciate true customer service as we do the same for our customers as well. We will purchase more vehicles from them in the future for all of our Sprinter needs. Thank you New Country! Never in my life have I experienced such amazing service, consideration, sensitivity to what my needs were, and anyone who went out of their way and above and beyond like Mike T. did for me and my family. This was just… an amazing experience. I haven't been treated so good ever, even at a 5 star hotel. New Country Mercedes is the epitome of customer service. There wasn't a time where Mike was too busy to answer my questions, assist in creating the best deal for our budget, he even came to our home to sign papers because we couldn't get to the dealership due to such hectic schedules. Who makes house calls? Mike does. Now everyone please don't expect this man to run to your house but know that this man goes above and beyond to accommodate you. New Country, because of Mike, you have lifetime customers. My greatest hope is that you reward Mike accordingly for this kind of service. I would like to see him recognized please. by williebegoode on 07/28/2010Like everyone else I want to get a good buy on a good car. Initially, I wanted to get a MB C300 Sport 4Matic, and they had one that I really liked. However, reading about that model, I had second thoughts, but I couldn't afford any of the… other models. So, I started looking at used models, and I found one that I wanted -- a 2006 4Matic E350 Sedan-- that happened to be in a color I liked. However, I had a definite budget, and they worked out a way that I could afford it in a reasonable amount of time. They did an excellent job of getting all of the paperwork in order, detailing the car, getting the bank loan, and I drove home with a great deal.They Will Ruin Your Car
by haskins500 on 09/04/2009My engine started running rough a month after my experience with New Country, so I stopped to check my oil a couple of months after the aforementioned horrible service. I check my oil every other fill-up, but I was astonished to see that… my oil was becoming very dirty(Black), especially for synthetic oil, after just 3000 or so miles. After arriving for an appointment for an oil change at an independent mechanic, I brought the service person out to the car to show him the oil. He immediately noticed that the air box/hose had not been reconnected, allowing air to bypass the air filter. I can not imagine that this was good for the longevity of my Mercedes!!!Good luck writing a check at this place
by haskins500 on 03/26/2009I am an area business owner and was recently in a serious accident, with injuries. My car was totaled, so I found a great private-party deal on a used Mercedes and decided to have it serviced an hour and a half from my home at New Country… in Hartford after purchase. I typically have my CLK 500 serviced there, so I was looking forward to the service. As I sat in their waiting area for the entire day, I learned that the spark plugs and wires were broken by the mechanic during the tune-up, which ended up as $600 my cost. I figured that it was a used car, they might have been worn, so fine. At the end of the visit, I went to pay a bill for $2103.25, and since I just depleted my expenses debit account with the recent car purchase (and have other pending bills), I figured that I would write a check off of my other bank account with branches throughout MA. Long story short, the check was not "acceptable" as payment, despite having my bank branch manager call (this was at 5 minutes to 5 pm) to verify that I had plenty of funds to cover such a check. I have never had a payment problem in my life, and they treated me like some low-life, especially a "Julie" and "Ben Frost" the supposed general manager. I have always payed using a check, and I wish that I had known that they no longer intended to accept this as payment from me. I had to leave my car with them overnight, find a rental (my cost, of course!) to get home, and have the $2103.25 in cash the next day in order to get my car back. Chris Langley and Andy sold me many cars in the past, (bought in cash) and despite this, they were not willing to reconsider, merely stating that it is "policy" Another of their colleagues told me later that they were treating me this way because I did not end up buying the car from their sales dept. so "don't expect special treatment!!!" I was not asking for special treatment, but as a business owner, I too take checks at my full discretion, but considering my customer loyalty, many past purchases, and endorsement from the bank manager, I would surely have been comfortable taking a check from a customer such as myself. So why would a reputable business prefer cash only? Oh well, bring lots of paper cash or a credit card. I personally would just stay away from the place, but they are unfortunately the only Mercedes act in town. That is my personal experience in a nutshell. I might even switch back to Audi or BMW if a Mercedes dealership does not re-open in West Springfield. At least Fathers and Sons of West Springfield has some integrity.Very Pleasant

I live very close but last time I did not like the experience so I leased from Fairfield . I figured I should stop by and see what they have in inventory and did not want to… talk to a sales person . Mirela approached me with a big smile and asked how she can help. She was very plesant and bubbly so she talked me into giving new country another opportunity. Mirela told me they have a new GM and that things have drastically changed . I ended up leaving that day and she texted me later that night saying thanks for coming in . She asked when I can come back for a test drive and i was busy with work so she offered to bring the car to me !!!!I was blown away !!! She has excellent follow up and always picks up her cell when I call !! Cheerful laugh and positive personality make the experience fun... not what I expected walking in . Go see Mirela and you will too be blown away ! She has been there for 9 years so when your lease is up you can be sure she will be there !!! Her laugh is sure to put a smile on your face while writing a check for $50000!! Keep up the good work Mirela !!!Great Sale

The dealership is a well appointed and well staffed. My salesman, Silvio, was a no pressure, polite,… highly knowledgeable member of the new country team. Throughout the whole buying process our comfort needs (coffee, water, bathroom, etc.) were always being attended to. The final lease price agreed upon was done in a courteous , no pressure manner. The lease itself was very competitive with other dealerships in the Connecticut area. A pristine car was delivered within 24 hours. All of the little details(trade in, insurance, etc.) were taken care of by my sales representative, Silvio. The leasing process (signing all of the paper work) was efficient well organized. Within a day of my purchase, I received a follow-up phone call from the sales director, Tom. He went out of his way to address any of my questions about my new car. This has been the best car buying experience that I've ever had!Fantastic Experience!

My wife claims I derive her crazy but we are what we are. Since May of this year I have purchased two new vehicles… from Don S. at New Country Mercedes. Through all of my questionong and research he remainied calm, professional, focused and honest. His product knowledge is excellent and he never failed to return many of the e mils , texts and voice mails that I left him. To say I would return to New Country Mercedes and deal with Don S. would be redundant in that I have already done that in a five month period this year. I am impressed with Don's conscientiousand his desire to meet the expectations of his clients. It is with out hesitation that I would reccomend Don S. at New Country Mercedes as an individual with whom I would trust and do business with.
