  • Poor experience at auto nation

    I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the recent vehicle purchase experience at your dealership. My encounter with your sales representative, Eli, was nothing short of frustrating and disappointing, ranking among the worst experiences I've had in purchasing a car. Firstly, I was assured by Eli that the vehicle was ready for pickup, only to arrive at the dealership and endure a wait of over 7 hours before any progress was made. Throughout this time, Eli exhibited a lack of knowledge about the vehicle beyond superficial remarks about its appearance. Furthermore, upon finally completing the necessary maintenance, I was ushered into Neftali's office where I felt pressured and rushed into purchasing a warranty plan. Despite my attempts to carefully review the terms, the finance manager persistently pushed for its addition, citing the late hour as a reason to expedite the process. The lack of communication and coordination between the dealership management, namely Vivek and Neftali, further exacerbated the situation. Despite my repeated attempts, I have been unable to have the warranty removed, forcing me to escalate the matter. As a seasoned car buyer, I can confidently state that this experience has left me deeply dissatisfied, and I am compelled to share my sentiments. Regrettably, I must inform you that I will not be considering future purchases from your establishment due to this ordeal.

    My time there was great. My sale guy, Edmund was so helpful and respectful. I felt very comfortable speaking to them. I was nervous in the beginning due to English is my secondary language, they understood and they redirected my nervousness to smiles and that calm my anxiety down.     Our sales associate was professional and knowledgeable. He answered all our questions from our point of view, not his. But there was one problem that I believe could have been easily fixed. One the day we came in to actually buy the car and sign the lease papers, we had to wait for several hours. Obviously, they were busy, which is fine. But we live in town, and we suggested that we could have gone back home until they were ready to deal with us.

  • Long wait times

    Dealership is very busy which explains long wait times. 3-4 hours for a simple oil change. However the payment process should not take an hour. I had to request the service department swip my card and worry about the paperwork later. The service provided may be quality work but spending half the day for simple work is too long. Next time Jiffy Lube?

  • Worst dealership service experience I have ever had

    I had an appointment for my vehicle to be looked at, due to some issues I was having with the parking brake, on Tuesday 11/21. First of all, my car was not even looked at until the next day. When I asked why, I was given multiple excuses, ranging from they had a "meeting with corporate" that day so they got backed up and that making an appointment is actually meaningless (literally! more on that in a moment). I was annoyed, especially because with the holiday that week I knew it would be even longer for me to get my car back. On Wednesday 11/22 I was told what the issue was, and that they ordered the part they would need and that it should come in on Saturday. I was also given a rental car on the dealership's dime which was nice, but definitely not above and beyond. Loaner vehicles are a pretty standard practice, and I had initially been told there would be a "one month wait" for a loaner (what?). So I was appreciative of the rental. On Monday 11/27 I inquired about the status because I had not heard anything over the weekend. I was told the part was expected to arrive the next day. I was annoyed and asked for an ETA on when the repair would be done and I could come pick up my car, and was given a confusing response that implied it should be done Tuesday or Wednesday. On Tuesday 11/28 I was sent a text confirming that the part had arrived, and that the service tech I was dealing with would reach out on Thursday because they were going to be out of the office on Wednesday. So, to clarify—my vehicle was dropped off at a scheduled appointment on the morning of 11/21, but was not even diagnosed until 11/22. I was told the part I needed would arrive on 11/25 but it did not arrive until 11/28. And that I would get an "update" on 11/30. On Wednesday 11/29 I called the dealership because I wanted a bit more insight on what was taking so long, especially now that they had the part they needed. I got the runaround and every excuse under the sun, including that "when you make an appointment you're not reserving that time for your car to be seen, you're bringing it in at that time to be put in the queue". That is absolutely not what making an appointment is, and I have NEVER experienced that anywhere else. I was furious at this point. Fortunately, I was able to get my vehicle back on Thursday 11/30. The specific repairs I needed were, thankfully, covered under warranty. I will be finding a new location to take my vehicle to, even in emergencies, because this was the most appalling service appointment I have ever experienced at a dealership. I should also mention that at multiple points when I was on the phone with this location and explicitly asked to speak to whoever was in charge, who I assume to be the man that sits in the office to the left when you walk into the service center, I was simply directed back to the service tech I was already corresponding with. I suspect that THAT dude is the problem, and that poor leadership is why this location is so terrible. The individual service techs that I have dealt with here, Jonathan before and Krista this time, were actually great and probably doing the best they could under the reign of ridiculously incompetent management.

  • Bad service

    Took my vehicle in at 7am, my car sat all day. I had to call later to see what was going on. I was told it hadn’t even been touched because a mechanic didn’t come in. Car had to stay overnight. The following day it sat all day aswell, never received a call to tell me it was ready. I had to call again to see what the status was with my vehicle. I should’ve received some some sort of discount for the bad service and inconvenience !

  • Recall appt

    Two tech things were recalled on my Ioniq 5 so I made an appt, lots of time slots and able to get me in quickly. My intake person was Kevin, very sweet and helpful and let me know a few maintenance updates I could also do while the car was there. I bought my car in van nuys and had my first service there, then took it to Santa Clarita for the next one so my timing alerts are off somehow and I either come in early or late for my complimentary tire rotation. Kevin helped me figure out how to manage it and then called me an Uber (complimentary except for tip, which was a little odd, tip is part of the payment these days but whatever ) so I could wait the 5 hours at home

    My service representative Kevin Hanson of AutoNation Hyundai Valencia was outstanding, knowledgeable with first class customer service skills. He explained everything to me up front. He called a ride for me and had a car pick me up at my house when my truck was ready. When I got to the office my Santa Cruze (awesome truck) was waiting for me, Kevin explained everything they did to service my truck. No surprises I was so impressed, good customer service is an understatement. Thank you, Kevin, Auto Nation and Hyundai you are five stars in my book.

    The experience was great overall. The discussion with the manager went quickly and nicely. I had a nice place to stay and waited until my car went through all the purchased services. The only negative thing was that had to wait longer than I was told. Instead of the promised 2:30 hours, I waited for more than 4 hours resulting in me being late for work, and the price for oil change was a bit high compared to other places I know.

    I was looking for a car with good gas mileage and a used Ioniq or Elantra were my car of choice. I end up at AutoNation Hyundai Valencia and hooked up with salesmen Nick and Andrew. There were no used cars to look at so i checked out the new Elantra and didn't really like it. Nick and Andrew asked what my budget was and suggested I take a look at the Sonata SEL. I really liked the car and after some negotiating we made a deal and I purchased a 2023 Sonata SEL. The car buying experience at AutoNation Hyundai Valencia was quick, enjoyable and no pressure. I highly recommend this car, dealership and salesmen Nick and Andrew.

    Ultra Low Sales Pressure. My sales guy Theo was very responsive to my questions and needs. Even after the sale was made, he followed up multiple times to make sure everything was good. On the finance and closing side, a very efficient process.
