Overall good, but pricey (it's a dealership) and always behind schedule
by CaliGuy on 02/26/2024I've taken my vehicle here a few times now, each time the bill has been more than expected....even for a dealership. However, I like to keep my car service under the dealership for the first few years. Each time, I've also either had to… wait for the car or it is ready later than expected. Their scheduling service (off site) doesn't really have any connection to how busy the day/team might be. This last time was the first time everything was looked at. Previous times, I had to prioritize items in order for the vehicle to be done by end of the day. The service manager with whom I spoke was very efficient and pleasant, and he took care of things I wanted done to my car that aren't part of the prescribed annual service. Every time my car came from service I had more issues than before
by DA G63AMG on 10/24/2023My G63 AMG was basically born and raised at MB South Bay. Car had all recommended services done on time and was fully functional until warranty expired. Ever time I brought the car in for service I had to bring it back for something that… seems to have broken while in service. At just under 50,000 miles the issues escalated to a Check Engine Light problem that the dealer was not able to fix despite 3 attempts. Cost kept escalating each time from $1,000 to $4,100 with no guarantee to be fixed. Decided to cut my losses and dealer agreed to buy the car for an agreed on price. However, at day of the transaction I was threatened and intimated by the sales staff before I finally got my money. I do not tolerate harassment. I can spend my money somewhere else. Good bye Mercedes Benz.Great people, but slow painful processes

It was all paperwork and waiting for people to become avaialble. For a… cash purchase. Painful. by aalshawi on 10/13/2023I am in Saudi Arabia and have bought my last 3 cars from the US and each time the process was smooth, straightforward, and pleasant. In recently bought a vehicle from Mercedes Benz of South Bay and the process was torturous. The process… started with paying for the car, and sending my identification documents, and did just that and the acknowledged receipt of payment (US$253,450). Past that point and as far as they were concerned. Some guy who must be a caretaker or porter was replying to my questions on progress. He was sending me deadlines out of nowhere and one day before the so-called deadlines were due. How do I know he was the door man as far as I can know? He personally told me by WhatsApp “I am merely communicating what is being communicated to me.” And if that was not enough, and long after they had acknowledged receipt of car value, they were sending me emails to ask if I was interested in buying my car!! I twice received emails advertising my car for about US10,000, and later US$3000 less. I have much to say and it is all documented, and I only wrote my review based on a request.Hi, we are deeply disappointed by your experience at Mercedes-Benz of South Bay. I did ask to speak to the GM during my ordeal with Mercedes Benz of South Bay, but I doubt that there is one! As even in your comment you do not mention the name of the GM. Nothing will start making me change my mind or view of this dealership short of returning to me the US$13,000 extra that I was charged over the real price of the vehicle when it was registered to me as per your advertisement.
