  • Great experience once again.

5 out of 5 starsby Ibornpoor on 07/01/2017

My family and I have bought a few cars here because we trust the quality of what they deliver and give us exceptional treatment and service. They also don't keep us at the dealership all day. They are under construction at the moment so you would have to excuse the inconvenience but I'm sure they are looking forward to a new beautiful dealership. I know I can't wait to go see it when it's all finished. The sales crew was very professional and courteous. If you are looking to buy a new Acura or a quality used anything I assure you that you will leave very satisfied. Ask for Lance, Christian, Mike, Dan, or Kemick. They are a five star championship caliber squad.

  • ***Must read...specially if buying a used car***

To start off I would like to say that if I could give this place ZERO stars I could. Two and a half weeks ago I purchased a used 2010 Mazda 3 Hatchback from this dealer. Just last week I took the car in because I noticed that the car was not performing well. The car would stay stuck in first gear any time you gave the car gas. After the dealer held the car over a day and a half making me lose a day and a half from work they deemed that the car did in fact need a new transmission as per the Mazda technicians that they sent the car to (Mazda dealer is right next door on lot). This dealer is not taking responsibility for the poorly inspected car that they sold me and expect me to pay $1800 for the repair after only having the car for 2 weeks! On multiple occasions they pointed the fingers at the Mazda dealer because according to them the Mazda dealer did the pre-sale inspection for them. I personally don't care who inspected the car. The point is that the car is failing me and Acura of Cerritos is failing to take responsibility of their products. Looks like a bunch of failing going on at this car dealership. Now I would like to talk about the quality customer service Acura of Cerritos provides. NOT!!!!! Of course the sales staff was great when purchasing the car however, once they found out the car had a defect they sent me through the common runaround. First I dealt with the Service Department Manager (Mark). He actually wasn't bad. All he did was inform me that charging me $1800 is the absolute best they could do for me even though I had just bought the car and it was already defective. Next up was the Used Car Sales Manager(Mr. Silverlake or Silverback...something like that) Now this guy was a class act if I've ever dealt with one. While explaining to him how it was that I found the problem he insisted in mentioning the fact that maybe I should have bought a Ferrari or Lamborghini. To start off I would like to say that in reality the car was actually a safety concern at the moment when I first realized that there was something wrong. While merging onto a freeway the individual in the lane next to me failed to yield therefore since I was slightly ahead of him I pressed the gas and to my surprise the car went nowhere. Luckily I got ahead of him just enough for him to realize that I was there and he stopped. This manager Mr. Silverback was by far the rudest and most unprofessional person I have ever dealt with. He has complete disregard for his customers concerns, their feelings and their safety. Lastly, I stepped into the big guys office. The General Manager Mr. Rick Walker. It is clear to me why his staff has a lack of professionalism, why they have no manners when talking to customers and lastly why his staff insists in nothing but sarcasm. As I went on to explain to him the concern with the car he also various times insisted that "if I drove my car like a maniac, my transmission would probably also make funny noises." Number One: not once did I drive that car out of the normal. The incident that happened that day could have been catastrophic if that man would have hit me considering the only thing on my other side of the car is a 30 foot drop onto the freeway. Number Two: it doesn't matter what kind of car you drive whether its a old beat up clunker or a Ferrari or Lamborghini, if you step on that gas pedal you should be expecting for the car to perform to its full capacity and be capable of shifting thru its gears with no restraint, SPECIALLY if it concerns your health and safety. I would also like to mention that when dealing with this man he kept mentioning how "they were doing the absolute best that they could to address the problem." Well sir if you were really doing your best you wouldn't be receiving this very negative review/complaint. If you were truly doing your best you would take responsibility of the poorly inspected products you sell and you would fix my car! For anyone considering buying a used car from this dealer I would be extremely cautious. I personally would not refer even my worst enemy to Acura of Cerritos. I hope this helps with anyone thinking of buying from this place and turns away from here. As for me I am currently driving the car as is and looking for a service center that will fix my car for a decent price. Even if the cost came out to more than the $1800 Acura was charging me I would rather take my business elsewhere.

  • Excellent Experience

    5 out of 5 starsby hellokitty4 on 07/05/2015

I had an excellent experience and customer service with my finance on my new car. Just go to Oscar Acosta. He was very helpful and patient because it was my first time buying an Acura. He spent all of his time and patience helping me by explaining all of the features of the car and answering all of my questions. He even helped me set up the systems in the car.

  • BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE!

5 out of 5 starsby NessaB on 05/26/2015

Walked into Acura dealership with many questions Oscar Acosta was extremely helpful with providing me with enough information on my first car purchased. Oscar helped me find the perfect car and I made my purchased that same day. Best experience EVER! Definitely recommend this dealership and for great customer service go to Oscar Acosta.

  • Outstanding Leasing Experience Ever!

5 out of 5 starsby HappyAcuraMom on 04/13/2015

I have leased and owned many vehicles in my time, but this was undoubtedly one of the best experiences I have ever had with a dealership. First of all, Oscar and Leon provided prompt online assistance on the RDX I was seeking and when in the dealership in person, also provided excellent service and attentiveness. They listened carefully and were able to match an online deal I had received from another dealer and beat their trade in value for my old car. Their honest no hassle car leasing experience made the whole experience at a car dealership surprisingly pleasurable--this is rare! Leon Le dealt with us with total integrity and honesty; his exceptional friendliness and humor was also a plus. I would definitely recommend Leon and Oscar and this Acura dealership to friends and family…and if I'll definitely be back if I'm up for another Acura in the future.

    5 out of 5 starsby RTD197z on 04/13/2015

Excellent customer service from Cerritos Acura's Internet Sales Manager, "Oscar". Fast, no hassle, willing to price match and beat any other dealers' offer. Internet Sales Manager was very knowledgeable with the car technology package. He was patient and willing to take the time to show me from A to Z on how to operate the new technology of this new vehicle.

  • Great Experience at Cerritos Acura

5 out of 5 starsby melaniefuruta on 02/18/2015

We couldn't have asked for a more perfect car-buying experience at Cerritos Acura. We have had some horrible experiences in the past with car salesmen but Oscar Acosta was so great. We didn't feel pressured to purchase anything we didn't want and he was friendly, knowledgable, efficient, and accommodating. We love our 2015 MDX!

I love this place. I bought my car this Saturday and I am in love. Thank you Oscar Acosta for your amazing work. You treated me and my father like family, never have I met someone that works for a dealership that has that much patience, professionalism, and great attitude. I felt no pressure to buy my car and that is why we purchased. All I can say is Oscar you are great at what you do. Keep up the great work.
  • Fabulous car-buying experience

I recently purchased a new Acura from Cerritos Acura. Oscar Acosta was the sales representative and I couldn't be happier with the overall experience. Oscar is extremely professional, very knowledgeable about the vehicle models, and never resorted to the high-pressure, gamesman-type tactics that some auto sales reps employ. His enthusiasm is infectious and made me even more excited about the purchase! He went the extra mile and took the time to explain how to use all the key features of the vehicle, which saved me a lot of time flipping through the manual. Hands-down, the best car-buying experience I have had thus far. Zero-stress, and that is VERY important.
  • Great Experience as a First Time Buyer!

    5 out of 5 starsby sbearden2 on 11/18/2014

I purchased a 2015 TLX this past weekend at Cerritos Acura. To begin, I have to say I'm loving my new car! This was my first time purchasing a vehicle and I had no idea what to expect. Thank you, Oscar Acosta, for making this experience stress-free and fun, and for answering the countless number of questions I had! Oscar stayed in touch throughout the whole process - from the time I expressed interest to ordering my car and even following up to see how things were going. He was very knowledgeable about the TLX and taught me about all of the features and controls before leaving the dealership. I'm very happy with my purchase and the service I received!

I can't express how well my car purchase went. Thanks to Oscar A. I was able to make my wife dreams come true . She loved the way the new mdx look and Oscar made it happen. Oscar also went the extra 9 yard after our deal was over to ensure we were happy with everything inthe car and any paper work after . I would recommend Oscar to any one looking for an acura ! He is the best salesperson I have dealt with and will come back in the future

  • Go in prepared or it's your funeral

3 out of 5 starsby bbrammer on 08/31/2008

From first hand experience . . . First, these guys are "car dealers" and it's a tough business. They're located in a huge auto mall. They WILL deal . . . But, they WILL hose you if you are not prepared and if you don't check the numbers in front of you before signing. We had a price locked into over the phone. They even committed to dealer trading for the car I'd found at another store (color issue). So, they match-priced and even got the car for me and I went in glad not to have done that dance with the lot line saleman. We were greeted warmly, given a walk-around of the car (to get our blood pumping I suppose) and then were set to wait for almost an hour for the paperwork (on a deal set hours earlier). The paperwork reflected a list price deal which was absurd. We had a VERY clear price set, but boy were we pushed to sign. Whoa there. So, we did their dance and nicely asked 'em to check. I whipped out my trusty clipboard with spreadsheet and phone notes to show that "THIS" was what we talked about and set upon. That stopped the double-talk. But, we had to sit yet another 45 minutes for them to hand us off to the finance guy--the REAL closer. We got chatted up. Apologized to, etc. The numbers were STILL wrong. Of course he was dumbfounded, but questioned my notes. Sigh. It's the biggest outlay of dough most people have outside of a mortgage. I wasn't messing around. I wasn't impulse buying. I was nice, but exasperated and got up to walk. He flipped into 'we'll fix it mode' and recut the paperwork. 'Didn't even screw with the adds and ups they push at signing. (I'd asked him not to.) So, finally, we could drive off. Got a very good price. But, they tried all the tricks and it REALLY took the shine off the apple. No warm "Wow!" feeling. More like we'd simply survived the battle. Less stresslike and more just a long duration. We had our numbers written down so we knew what was REAL. NOT fun, but pretty much par-for-the-course. [violative content deleted]
  • DO NOT buy from Cerritos Acura!

    1.5 out of 5 starsby slim73 on 05/15/2008

I stopped by Cerritos Acura because I happened to be in the area one night. BIG MISTAKE! I had already been in contact with a number of dealers to get the best deal on an '08 TL with Navi. They all treated me with respect, and I have nothing but positive things to say about them. Cerritos, on the other hand, was absolutely the worst car buying experience I have ever had. I asked for the internet sales manager as soon as I walked in, but they took me to a regular sales manager instead. I told him that I wanted to speak to the internet manager, and he said, "I'm the guy the internet managers come to." Yeah, right. He took me out to look at their inventory, then passed me off onto another guy...saying that "this guy knows all about the TL" and he would be handling my purchase. I was introduced to ANTHONY, a [violative content deleted] of a sales associate. He was a bit younger and very eager to have me purchase that SAME night....very pushy. I had a trade in, and he asked me what I was expecting to get for it. I told him that I was expecting KBB fair trade in value, and he said that they would definitely be able to do that. After appraising my vehicle, he came back and started ranting about how terrible my car was...needs service, bad tires (which was a lie..they were only a year old), etc. He offered me $7,000 for it, and I said that I would consider it after getting a couple other appraisals done. Once he heard that, he completely turned on me and insisted that 7K was the best I was going to get. He then says, "You might be able to get $7,500 somewhere else."...but he was offering 7K?? Shouldn't it be the other way around? Anyways...we went out to the sit in one of their TLs and he brought out a pricing invoice. He told me that he would have to charge me for the dealer installed options, and his final price BEFORE tax, license, title, etc. was nearly $35,0000!! I said, "That's a lot more than what I was expecting to pay." without telling him any of the quotes I had received from the other dealers. "Maybe you're looking at the wrong car then." was his response! They didn't even have the color I wanted, so he asks me if I'd be willing to take a silver one if he gave me $500 off. I told him that $500 was not enough money to get me into a color I didn't want. He said, "Oh really? I don't know about you, but $500 is a lot of money to me. Here's five hundred right here. $500 is $500." He actually took out his wallet and started pulling out hundred dollar bills. Bills were falling onto the ground, and the whole scene was ridicuIous! I got out of the car and decided I was just wasting my time there. Even as I was leaving, he continued to make negative comments about my trade in vehicle and how I would never be able to sell it. He finished with a sarcastic "Good luck!" and walked off without shaking my hand or anything. He immediately went to stand around with a couple other salesman, shaking his head and mumbling things under his breath. I ended up getting exactly what he said I would get for my trade in....$7500. Five hundred more than what he was willing to give. After a couple of weeks of emails and calls, I drove off in my new '08 TL with Navi in the white diamond pearl and ebony interior for $32,600 OUT THE DOOR!! I guess I could afford a TL after all! Did he actually think that I would pay nearly $6000 more to buy from an [violative content deleted] like him?? Whatever you do...AVOID Cerritos Acura....they are [violative content deleted] that [violative content deleted].
  • Painless sales, but beware of F&I

    3.6 out of 5 starsby roar02ram on 11/24/2007

I contacted the internet sales/fleet department prior to visiting the dealership and had a very good, painless experience buying my car. My dealings with the F&I department, however, left a lot to be desired. First, the rep dangled an extended warranty in front of me as a carrot for a .5% APR cut on my loan. I actually wanted an extended warranty, so that was fine, but what disturbed me was the fact that he said "I am Mazda, I work for them" as a way of legitimizing the third-party, crummy extended warranty that he was trying to pawn off on me despite my insistence on a factory-backed Mazda Extended Protection Plan. If you didn't know, dealership employees are NOT employed by the manufacturers. I did, but I suspect he's gotten that to work on many unsuspecting buyers. My dealings with the F&I department sense have been pleasant, but similarly sleazy; BEWARE. In summary: the sales team is pretty good, the inventory is great, but don't get snowballed by their niceness.
  • Avoid Browning Auto Group

    1.8 out of 5 starsby gforce11 on 10/10/2007

First off, Cerritos Acura is owned by the Browning Auto Group. The Mazda store next door is one of their dealerships as well. With that said. I will start with my experience with Cerritos Acura. I went into the dealership. test drove the TL and TSX and my wife had her heart sent on the TSX. At the time I had my 325i for trade-in, which they gave me a horrible offer. Not only that, they wanted to charge me more on the TSX than I paid for my 325i (per month). During the negotiating process they held my keys hostaged (typical sales manager move) and wasted 3 hours of my life. I ended up driving back home in my 325i. Hated that experience, felt pressured, played and annoyed. Worse purchasing experience ever....until i went to the Mazda dealer next door a year later. My wife and I didn't know it was owned buy the same folks until we get her Mazda. Once the deal was done, the sales guy made stupid rude comments about my wife which where uncalled for. The only reason why we even showed up at the dealership was because my wife wanted the Mazda3 and the only dealer in our area that carried the correct color, options was Browning. Bottom line, don't go there. Save yourself the frustration and avoid the Browning Auto Group all together. They are very old school and will grill you til you give in.
  • Great

4.4 out of 5 starsby sleepysoo on 09/18/2007

This dealership was pretty good to me. They are a little tough to negotiate unless you know what you are doing. They can rip you off a little unless you understand the ins and outs of leasing. But, I was able to negotiate a really good deal fairly easily over the phone, and when I went in, they honored it and didn't try to snake anything else out of me. Sales guys were really nice, and the sales manager (Paul) was incredibly accomodating to what our needs were.
  • I Purchased Mazda CX-7 Touring on This dealership Last Sat July 21, 2007

    1 out of 5 starsby jcohen3 on 07/24/2007

I came to this dealership last Saturday July 21, 2007 at 7:00pm and Trade-in my Toyota RAV-4 2002 in exchanged for Mazda CX-7. Look what happen, It was night that time. The deal is fine, even they rip-me off a little. They check everything was fine on the new car with paper details. But when i drive from Ceritos to los angeles I found out that the front passenger window automatic is not working when I'm driving in Freeway. Look! they check everything is working! not only that the CD player when you're playing suddenly skip. I never encounter this cd problem on my old RAV-4 2002 and CX-7 is poor. Another problem because it was night and the exterior color of CX-7 is liquid platinum silver. When i check the car in the morning i see scratch on the front left fender and visible. This afternoon July 23, 2007 at 2:30pm i complain to this dealership about the problem on the car. I waited for 2 1/2 Hours for nothing and the sales man is not there. I told them to fix it or replace it. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. But if there is a sale in 1-minute your THERE!!! I will file a complain to Better Business Bureau with this matter. NEVER! NEVER! have a deal on that dealership. Next time! double Check that car that they are giving. They Just check details on paper without even checking the car is everything is ok before giving to the customer
    • I wouldn't waste my time there...the BBB is useless. They take money from business like these dealerships. Its like going to someone's dad to complain about their son. Like it matters. Avoid Browning. I'm serious...Nothing good comes from dealing with them.

Purchased my 2014 Acura MDX Advanced + Entertainment from Cerritos Acura back on May 25th, after handling all negotiations via Internet and phone. Oscar A. responded to my initial 'request for quote' via Edmunds, and responded quickly, fairly and professionally to all my specific requirements and overall needs. In addition to straight up offering a very competitive price with no BS, he went above and beyond by personally delivering the vehicle (I don't live anywhere near Cerritos) post some accessory installations, while still taking the time to review all the cars features/functions with me at delivery. No other Acura dealer came close on price or service, and this is our third Acura purchase (first time w/ Cerritos Acura, though). Oscar and his colleagues are straight up, friendly and won't waste your time. I highly recommend Cerritos Acura and Oscar A. They both clearly make customer satisfaction a top priority. Did I mention that Oscar has already followed up with me on three separate occasions to make sure that all is well with our new MDX? Two thumbs up.
