No Disclosures, No Help — Just $16K in Repairs on a ‘Worry-Free’ Truck
by hansoncwre on 07/06/2025updated 07/25/2025I purchased a “Worry-Free” 2014 Ford F-150 from AutoNation Subaru of Scottsdale on May 23, 2025. Less than a month later, multiple certified shops confirmed the truck needed $12,000–$16,000 in major repairs — suspension, turbochargers,… cooling system, and high-mileage maintenance — all of which had been identified in an inspection just weeks before AutoNation sold it to me. Despite claiming every vehicle undergoes a “rigorous inspection” and is “ready for the open road,” they sold me this truck without disclosing any of these issues. I notified them on June 16 with full documentation and offered to resolve it privately. They acknowledged the report — and then disappeared. No follow-up. No help. [HTML removed] Buy your next vehicle somewhere else. Don’t make my $18,000 mistake. Update July 2025: AutoNation claims: “All of our used vehicles undergo a rigorous inspection process and come with a vehicle history report, so you can rest assured that the vehicle is Worry-Free and ready for the open road ahead!” I purchased a so-called “Worry-Free” 2014 Ford F-150 from AutoNation Subaru of Scottsdale on May 23, 2025. Less than a month later, certified shops diagnosed catastrophic failures: suspension, turbochargers, coolant system, and overdue high-mileage service — totaling over $15,000 in needed repairs. Here’s the kicker: these problems had already been identified in a prior inspection before AutoNation performed their “rigorous inspection” and sold the truck. They didn’t disclose a thing. I contacted them on June 16 with full documentation and a reasonable request to resolve it privately. They acknowledged the report — and then ghosted me. No help. No follow-up. No accountability. Now, every drive is a game of truck roulette — waiting to see what fails next and hoping it doesn’t kill me or someone else. I notified you on 6/16, spoke with a manager, sent a copy of the inspection report with a response of "we'll look into it and get back to you!" And nothing!!!

Relaxed atmosphere

Fair price, first try!
by Suzanne R on 01/17/2024I was looking at a Subaru Forester Wilderness at a different dealership. I had done my research and had a "fair price" in mind. When the other dealer could not meet my price, I called AutoNation Subaru. When I told my sales rep, Luis,… that I was on the road and deciding whether to go to Scottsdale or a dealer in downtown Phoenix, he said he would call me right back. Within 15 minutes, I had a call from Ward, the sales manager, and the price was within $150 of my budgeted price. We purchased the car that day! I also had a bumper guard installed by the Service Department. Scheduling the appointment was simple, and Stefon took my car in ahead of time and returned it to me faster than I expected. Finally, I met with Tabitha for an after-sale refresher (and a $25 gas card). Tabitha pointed out some features that I wasn't aware of and answered all of my questions. Everyone at AutoNation (unlike the other dealer) seemed to want me to buy a car from them. Everyone was friendly and helpful.
