  • Service on My 2019 Silverado

    I had a check engine light come on so I made an appointment to have my truck serviced on Monday, 4/14. I was told at that time by Terry, my service advisor, that it could be two weeks until they were able to diagnose the issue and work on the truck. TWO WEEKS! What is the point of a service appointment when the vehicle won't be worked on for two weeks? Sure enough, I was contacted on Thursday, 4/24 to let me know they had found a wiring issue that had a service bulletin issued due to the wires and protective shroud rubbing against the air filter box, causing shorts. I know my truck is out of warranty, but if there is a service bulletin issued for something that results from poor design, there should be a large discount on repairs and/or have it covered by the manufacturer. I had to pay for a rental vehicle for two weeks by that point, which was $950, and the repairs were close to $1,200. I went in and picked up the truck on Friday, 4/25 and drove it home. On Saturday, 4/26, I was driving my son to baseball when the check engine light came back on and "Engine Power Reduced" was displayed on the dash. I attempted to return the truck that afternoon, but the rental car facility was closed, so I did not return the truck for service until Monday, 4/28. On Monday, I returned the truck and was set up with a rental by Autonation. I sent texts everyday asking if the truck was repaired yet, but didn't get any viable information until Thursday, 5/1. They found ANOTHER wiring issue which was repaired, but that led to discovering the cam shaft actuator was faulty as well. They were able to repair it and I picked up the truck for the second (hopefully final) time on Friday, 5/2 with another bill for $696. Overall, I'm very disappointed in the length of time it takes for AutoNation to make repairs. Two weeks is FAR too long for a customer to be out of a vehicle. The service appointment scheduling is a joke. If you can't diagnose a vehicle for two weeks, don't make appointments for two weeks. At this point, I believe just about every wire has been replaced in the engine compartment of my truck. To wait two weeks for repairs, then have to immediately bring the truck back in for more repairs is frustrating, to say the least. More transparency upfront, or when you are making "appointments" will go a long way towards customer satisfaction.

  • Bad service.

    I called my service advisor. They said it would be about a week till they could get to it. So I brought it in the next week. Three weeks later I was able to pick it up. It was a simple sensor that took a few hours to replace. I had to pay $600 in rental car. The service advisors just kept telling me lies.

    All work was performed was completed on time and in a professional manner. The only issue I had dealt with the wait for diagnosis. But, seems to be an issue of not enough mechanics to go around. I couldn't get either of the Chevrolet dealers here in Tucson to even look at the car as they were "too busy" to conduct diagnosis or didn't "do transmission work". Turns out, the issue was broken motor mounts and not the transmission. GM corporate needs to address the wait time issue at their dealerships (more mechanics to handle workload). This issue may impact their customer's future purchase decisions.

  • Dealer Damage to Vehicle

    Our service rep Ivan has been helpful but overall very dissatisfied with the experience we’ve had with my daughter’s car. Vehicle was brought in for a very simple sensor repair (particulate matter sensor in exhaust). What should have been an hour repair has now turned into a multiple week affair. While removing the sensor the tech accidentally damaged the exhaust pipe of the vehicle. Chevy did well and came clean but the OEM part is on back order with no ETA. A temporary fix was attempted with a new pipe they had to machine new ports into so the car can drive however it is still flagging check engine light and emissions warnings. My daughter is understandably very leery to continue driving this car but at 19yrs old is too young to rent another one. I have now emailed the General Manager (Dustin) on 11/24 to see about potentially trading in her vehicle and if he could help facilitate us to a sales manager who can give her a fair deal after all this mess but no response yet. I will likely have to go back into the dealership to get anyone’s attention and hopefully receive some form of meaningful offer or discounts to account for her (and our) time, money, and frustration for damage and supply chain issues caused by Chevy.

  • Less than impressed

    Went into AutoNation Chevrolet for a routine oil change service appointment. While my appointment was at 7am, did not talk to a service advisor until after 730. Told the service advisor that I had a nail in the driver side front tire which I wanted to get fixed in addition to my scheduled oil change. Waited for service to be done and when reviewing work done, did not see anything about fixing the tire. The service advisor said the tech found no nails in any tire. I told him I had personally seen the nail, so please take it back and fix it while I was there. After 30plus more minutes he came back to me and said the tech could not find anything. So I asked for my keys and left. Today I am having to make a separate trip to discount tire to plug the leak and nail which I can still see. I will not be going back to AutoNation Chevy as how can I trust their techs to actually fix a complicated problem when they can't even find a nail in a tire.

  • Tire replacement, dealer didnt put valve stem chromies back

    Dealer changed the tires om my car, but failed to put the chromies back on. Also there was grease smeared all over tires and rims that wasnt cleaned up. They havent responded timely in my request to mail me the chromies.
