Perfect for me

I wanted a vehicle that would support moderate off-road adventures and still be civilized in town. I'd narrowed it town to this and a Jeep Wrangler. I've rented several Wranglers and while off-road very competent I thought they were a bit primitive and I worried about quality and longevity. My 2017 SR5 with some TRD rims and accessories is perfect. Solid and composed on the road and more than adequate for my off-reading. It isn't overpowered and I am curious about how well it will tow a small camper.

This car is solid and very reliable. Nothing less was expected from this Japanese built SUV.

I am on my second 4Runner. The first was 2000 which I drove for 18 years with regular maintenance only. My daughter now drives it. It starts like a new SUV. I now drive a new 2017 Limited bought new and love it. My wife and myself golf cycle ski and take road trips. This suv is comfortable and has lots of storage. Some comments critique its ride but it is still an off road suv. We only use the 4 wheel capacity in snow with confidence. Our bike rack pops into the standard tow hitch and off we go. Based on my experience with the Toyota 4Runner it will be the only vehicle I will drive. The only thing that would cause me to replace it is if Toyota made it a hybrid or all electric version.

This is the 1st Toyota I've ever owned (I'll be 70 next year) and I couldn't be happier! Why did I wait so LONG? The leather heated/cooled seats are the MOST comfortable seats I've ever had in a car/truck by far! That includes Lincolns, Caddys, Fords, Chevys, Mazdas, VWs, Alfa Romeos, Dodges, Hyundais etc. This "truck/SUV" drives so smoothly, it feels like gliding on butter! Great features in my 2017 Limited with an awesome moon roof, automatic running boards, 3rd row leather seats, upgraded sound system, 4WD with X-REAS suspension and liftgate electric window. My SUV is extremely clean and was well cared for. I did change out the HID headlights for new Lasfit LEDs which make a great improvement for highway visability but that was an easy fix. All in all, I am a very happy new 4Runner owner! Doing the happy dance.
