2025 Porsche Macan Electric

The Porsche Macan EV is, first of all, an entirely different vehicle than the gas-powered Macan. It relies on the same formula, though: It's a luxury SUV with an emphasis on performance. Porsche added two new trims for the 2025 Macan, giving you a range of power options starting at 335 horsepower on the base Macan Electric and topping out at 576 hp for the Macan Turbo. Porsche added two new trims to the 2025 Macan EV: a base trim that is rear-wheel-drive only and a sporty 4S trim that adds a new electric motor to the all-wheel-drive Macan 4. If you're more interested in range than power, the base Macan Electric is worth a look. It gets the longest range of the EV lineup with an EPA-estimated 315 miles of range. Meanwhile, the new 4S could be appealing as a less expensive — but still high-performance — alternative to the electric Macan Turbo.

We'd recommend checking out the BMW iX and Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV. These two electric SUVs are roomier and more practical than the Macan EV. They aren't quite as fun to drive, however. A new alternative for 2025 is Audi's Q6 E-tron. It shares much of its underlying EV hardware with the Macan, meaning it has similar range and power. The main difference is the Q6 E-tron's classier-looking interior.
