by Peter Lyle on 04/29/2022Christine Warren was amazing during a difficult and extensive warranty fix. She had clear communication and positive attitude while playing middle man between us and GMC. I be will go back to her again.People are wonderful - service is not easily done.
by Mary BolandDoyle on 04/27/2022I moved here in Covid - no one expects the way things were to be back yet. That being said - getting an appointment is days in advance, cars are (2020 Chevrolet Bolt and 2020 Chevrolet Equinox) NEVER done on time. Sometimes? They have the… car for a week. They always offer a loaner, we are lucky enough to not need it, so we have never taken it. Yet somehow - they cannot repeat issues or fix issues. It’s frustrating. They are really nice people, but they can never replicate issues, or say the issue is fixed and return the car in the same non-fixed state. We decided to change dealers.Fast and efficient
by Marsha on 04/15/2022I was pleasantly surprised to have just a 30 minute wait for my car oil change, tire rotation and new wiper blades!Service
by Mike on 04/12/2022They were on time, friendly and informativeVery disappointed
by Ron Peart on 03/28/2022So upset that the worker got in my Tahoe with oily hands inside and outside driver’s door, steering wheel, center console and seat. This after I spoke to the manager and asked him to double check all the work. They did take it out back and… clean it up.Great and friendly customer service!
by Jonathan Lee on 03/05/2022I forget who was working today, but he was very friendly and got my car done in a timely manner. I would recommend!Poor Communication, Three Days Until I Got An Update
by Joshua R on 02/26/2022I dropped my vehicle off at 9am on a Friday to have an oil change (free lifetime), tire rotation and my driver's exterior door handle looked at under warranty. I was told that I would hear from my service advisor by 3pm that same… afternoon. I received a phone call from my service advisor a little after 2pm, but was unable to answer the phone at that time. I call back no more than 10 minutes later and spoke to a receptionist and requested to speak with my advisor. I was placed on a brief hold while the lady checked his availability. When the receptionist came back, she informed me that my service advisor was with another customer and asked if I would like to leave a message. I left a message. A while later, I still had no received a call back so I called again. I was again informed that my service advisor was busy with another customer. A second message was left. By 6pm that night, I had called a total of four times and left three messages for my service advisor. At this point, the service department is closed for the night and I have no updates nor any idea what was found to be wrong with my vehicle. I had not given any previous permission or received any assumptions that my vehicle would be kept overnight. The following day, Saturday, I called a total of three times throughout the day but had been unsuccessful with speaking to anyone. The phone would ring continuously then jump back to the initial voice menu. At the end of the day Saturday, I still had not received any information or calls about my vehicle. Sunday, the service department is closed, so I did not even try calling. Come Monday, the earliest I was able to try to contact the service department was 10am due to being at work. Just after 10am, I contacted Sunset Chevy. I spoke to the receptionist and requested to speak to my service advisor. I again was placed on a brief hold, and when the receptionist came back I was again informed that he was busy with a customer. Furthermore, I then explain briefly to the receptionist what I was going through. She stated that she would be "CCing" her manager on this message so that he is informed as well. I then had to go back to work, with the next time of me being able to check for messages or call again was 3pm that afternoon. This was passed along to the receptionist. When I checked my phone next, I found a text message from my service advisor sent around noon giving me an update on my vehicle. The fact that the vehicle was in the shop going on to its fourth day was not even acknowledged. Nor was the fact that I had left multiple unanswered messages acknowledged. Just information about what was going on with my door handle. This was when I was informed that it would be covered under warranty, but I would be responsible for a deductible as well as paying out of pocket to have their paint shop paint the door handle. I did my research and found a body matching door handle elsewhere on the internet that I can purchase and install myself for less than what they quoted me to have to pay. I informed the service advisor that I would not like to proceed with the repairs and I would like to pick the vehicle up. This is when I was informed that "since I am not going to go with the repairs, you will be responsible for the $169 diagnostics fee". When I dropped the vehicle off, they told me of this fee. I specifically asked what would make it to where I would have to pay this. I was informed that outside causes to the damages or something the warranty does not cover. At no time was it explained or insinuated that I would have to pay if I decided not to have them repair the vehicle. I felt entrapped. Either I pay for the repairs, or I pay for the diagnostics since they can't get that money from the warranty place. I requested a manager's contact information. The next day (by time I received this information it was after hours and they were closed) I contacted the manager and spoke to him over the phone. After a round about conversation where I received no answers as to why I had not received any notification or call backs for three and a half days, the manager stated that he would try and make it to where all I have to pay is the deductible. Out of frustration and just done with this whole process, I agreed to this. The vehicle was not completed until 11 days after I initially dropped it off. Even then, the door handle paint job looks poorly done. The gloss of it is different from the rest of the vehicle, and it doesn’t have the metallic flakes to it like the rest of the paint. When I roll the driver's window down, it can clearly be heard hitting and dragging alongside something. I had contacted my service advisor and still haven't heard back from him 2 days later at the time of this review. At no time during all of this did I receive an apology or explanation as to why it took so long to get an update about my vehicle. I have bought a couple vehicles from Sunset Chevy. My parents have bought multiple vehicles through their life from Sunset Chevy. I have even referred them to close friends and family. After this experience, I will not be purchasing, referring or continue to speak highly of Sunset Chevy. The only time I will be in is for the free lifetime oil change. Nothing more, nothing less.Great service

by chuck186 on 04/13/2016I don't know if it's luck or by design, but Ian Bran generally oversees my visits to Sunset Chevrolet. I was not sure if my iPod would connect to my car and Ian patiently guided me through the steps to connect it and to adjust it for the… best sound. It's this kind of stuff that keeps me driving from downtown Seattle to Sumner. Thanks for your outstanding review, Chuck! We're very happy to hear that Ian was of such help to you. We strive to provide excellent customer service, and we're glad that this was the case for you! Please let us know if there's anything else we can do for you. Second purchase of a truck from Sunset Chevy!!!
by JamieB1971 on 10/30/2015On Friday, 10/23/15, my partner and I brought our 2011 Silverado in for a free Lifetime Oil Change as we purchased this truck at Sunset Chevrolet in July 2013. Service Advisor, Ian has consistently been great to work with for all service… needs. He also gave my partner and I some local lunch places to eat at while waiting for the service work to be complete. Ian - thank you for always being great! After lunch, we walked through the used truck lot and spied a used 2015 GMC Sierra 2500HD Duramax. Internet Sales Rep, Sean Stead approached us, pulled out the truck, told us the story of it, walked us through the features and differences between our 1500 vs. this 2500 and the 3500 trucks. We own/tow a travel trailer so this information and future trailer options with this truck was very informative. Sean had done all of this before ever asking us if we wanted to talk numbers or pushing us to buy the Sierra. Thank you! Next, we drove it and learned even more about the Sierra on our test drive. We complimented Sean on his true knowledge of his product as in our experience most car salespeople just want you to buy and do not actually know about the vehicles they sell. Upon return to the lot, Sean gave us a few minutes to talk alone then simply ask if we wanted to run the numbers without pressure or the cheesy lines that usually come (ex: what can I do to have you drive it home today...) Once we sat down we talked over the numbers, trade-in, etc and come to an agreement to purchase the Sierra. In Finance, we met with Cynthia Lee. She helped us with our Silverado purchase two years prior so we were happy to work with her again. Cynthia explained all the details, extended warranty options, and made the process efficient. She was also very receptive to our option of using our own financing as our Credit Union rate was lower. I am also a big question asker and she entertained as well as responded to all of my questions. We also laughed a lot and we even had fun through the finance process. Thank you to Ian, Sean and Cynthia for creating a solid and positive experience all around. Paul and I both know we will continue to receive the same solid service after the sale. Thanks again!!! Jamie & PaulJamie and Paul, thank you both for the kind words. It's always great to hear that we could come together as a team to make sure you both were taken care of every step of the way! We appreciate your business over the years, and are looking forward to many more to come. Thank you guys for being a part of the Sunset family!
