Overall a great experience!
by Out of State Buyer on 01/05/2025I live out of state, and when I contacted the dealership about the used car I was interested in, I soon received a link to a complete documentation package that included the vehicle details, high-resolution photos, the CARFAX history, a… summary of all the reconditioning work that had been performed, the original sticker for that vehicle, and the manufacturer's brochure. My salesman, Earl, helped me through the entire process, and was always available to answer my questions, including information on how to get the car shipped to my home. Overall it was a great experience!Great salesman

Straight Forward Sale
by Colorado Owner on 09/08/2024I recommend anyone working with Abdel for a straight forward/no pressure truck purchase. The finance office was helpful and lacked the usual pressure sales of warranties and services. Thanks for recommending Abdel and the finance team at Koons Tysons Chevy Buick GMC! We're glad to hear your truck purchase was straightforward and pressure-free. Enjoy your new ride!

Sold car when I was in the process of buying it
by Jay Wilson on 04/26/2024I am from out of state and called on the car, the sales person David Owino started helping me and passed me to his used car sales manager. The sales manager did not get in touch with me so I called the sales manager a couple days later. The… sales manager told me, he wouldn't sell me the car unless it was sold today because the end of the month is here. The sales manager had me send my DL and fill out a finance app. After I was done filling out the financing paperwork, he tells me, oh there is someone here and I am going to sell it to the person here. IF you don't want to sell cars online, then don't advertise your cars online. This is a really bad experience and I do not recommend ANYONE trying to buy ANY of their vehicle online.Jay, I'm really sorry to read about your experience. This is not the kind of service we aim to provide and it's clear that we've fallen short in this instance. We certainly don't want anyone feeling like they're being given the runaround or treated unfairly. If you'd be willing, could you reach out directly so we can discuss what happened and see if there's anything more we can do? Thank you, Michaela Puckett - Customer Relations Manager - 703-448-7280 ext. 24217
Perfect
by Jim VP on 02/17/2024Never have I had a better experience with an auto dealer, everything was perfect, all agreed upon pricing, never felt pressured, beautiful dealership and kind employees. I will 100% take another 5 hour drive from New Jersey to do business… with them again!Jim, we're over the moon to know that your experience with Koons Tysons Chevy Buick GMC was worth the drive! We appreciate you choosing us for your automotive needs and are here for any of your future needs. Safe travels back home!
Disinterested in Selling Cars
by Petoria on 02/01/2024Handed us the keys for a test drive without showing or discussing features of the car. Sales manager seemed disinterested as well. Worst of all, failed to point out a considerable scratch for which we would have returned the car had we… purchased it.Petoria, I'm sorry to read about your buying experience. We aim for transparency and thoroughness in all our interactions, so it's concerning that you felt otherwise during your visit. Your feedback is valuable as it helps us improve our service quality. If you're open to discussing this further or have any other concerns, please reach out at your earliest convenience. Thank you, Michaela Puckett - Customer Relations Manager - 703-448-7280 ext. 24217

Waste of Time
by J White on 07/14/2022Went to look at a vehicle that was verified by e-mail to be on the lot. Arrived after about a 50 minute drive to look a the Honda CR-V. We walked around the lots for about 20 minutes and could not locate the Honda CR-V on the listing.… Some girl came out and asked if she could help. We showed her a picture of the Honda CR-V and she stated she would find the vehicle. We watch this girl go all over the lots for about another 20 minutes just pushing the unlock button on the remote. She stated she was not a sales rep and was going to go get one. Well about another 20 minutes went by and she did not return. We saw the girl going into the dealership with a different person. That was the end of this wasted trip. We let the lot and never looked back. The Koons GM Corner dealership acted liked they did not care about selling a vehicle. Poor customer service and not worth the terrible experience.BEWARE!!!
by Jadenrilei on 03/14/2016BEWARE AGGRESSIVE, IMMORAL, AND HIGH PRESSURE TACTICS Anyone buying a car should do research and determine a number that they are willing to pay before visiting a dealership. I did this prior to visiting Koons Tysons Chevy Buick GMC. I… am not desperate for a new vehicle so while my number is fair for the vehicle I am researching, it is admittedly low. I began the delicate dance of buying a used car with Jordan E. While he was a little over-eager nothing was truly alerting when we began. We eventually made it into the sales office and I made an offer. The offer was extremely low and I really did not expect much from him. He predictably came back with the sticker price. I attempted to get him (and the managers in the back) to come down from sticker at least a little bit, but they resisted. No problem. I left because the negotiations were obviously going nowhere. As I was having lunch my wife and I decided to raise my offer to try ending the always-frustrating search for a new car. The price I gave them was my max number I was willing to pay $28,000 (fair, but admittedly low for the car I wanted). I understand that this is a tactical error in negotiating, but since I am not desperate and willing to walk away I gave it a shot. Jordan (and the manager) refused, remaining firm on sticker. I said that I understood, and hung up the phone, never intending to pursue any further. Later that night, I received a text that they could do $29,000. This was better, but still not my number so I refused and hung up. I then received a text asking for some of the research that I found to justify the fairness of my number. I obliged him with about five printouts of similar vehicles with prices supporting number. Up to this point there was no foul play. I was offering a low number and do not fault them for not accepting it. What happened next raised the flag. Jordan called me back. He said that they could do it at my number. I replied with surprise that that was good news, and attempted to reconfirm the price, $28,000 out the door. He said that he was unable to say the price over the phone as if it was an issue of national security (RED FLAG #1), then he said that all I need to do is return to the dealership to finalize the deal (RED FLAG #2). Now, I live a good distance away from the dealership and would have to miss out on work to seal this deal. My spidey-sense is also shrieking at his weird behavior. So I say that everything sounds great and I will come out as soon as I receive a purchase order via email. His entire demeanor changes at this point (RED FLAG #3). He begins to question the necessity of anything in writing (RED FLAG #4). I simply state that I will not waste my time to come all the way out there without some guarantee of the price promised. I get off the phone. Soon I receive a text stating that the Managers will only accept $29,000 (RED FLAG #5). This is a complete reversal from what was discussed on the phone. At this point, I am confused and upset. I call Jordan to give him an opportunity to explain his actions. He denies ever saying $28,000, which may technically be correct and keep him from officially violating any rules. However, he absolutely tried to lure me back into the dealership with the fraudulent acceptance of my offer. Jordans attempts to placate the situation were therefore unsuccessful, so I spoke with his manager, Bill S. Again, their explanation of the situation was underwhelming. Needless to say, I will not be purchasing a vehicle from Koons. I will find another vehicle at another dealership. I simply want to inform consumers so that they do not fall for this immoral, high-pressure sales tactic employed by Koons Tysons Chevy Buick GMC.This does not sound like an unethical or immoral dealership. It simply sounds like your expectations were a bit, as you note, on the low side. You offered to buy at $28K, they countered with $29K. Fairly typical negotiation. My experience is a buyer rarely gets the dealer's best price unless the buyer is in the dealership. When the offers are this close, as a buyer, it is usually beneficial to visit the dealer to close the gap, which is usually the case as a dealer rarely lets a buyer sitting at the dealership leave over a few hundred dollars. In general a dealership is not immoral if they will not sell at your price just as you are not immoral if you will not buy at their price. If it had been me, I would have driven to the dealer and offered $28,250 or $28.5K, assuming I really wanted the vehicle. Is a few hundred dollars a material amount for a vehicle you really want?
Excellent Customer Service
by LindaGMCGirl on 02/13/2015My husband and I had the best experience we have ever had at a car dealership. Our Sales Consultant Earl Jones was awesome; he was so helpful and patient. He answered all our questions and took the time to show me all the features that… came with our new vehicle. He even helped me set up most of them. He is truly a genuine and caring person, his only concern was making sure we had a great car buying experience and received the vehicle of our choice with minimal effort on our part. Everyone we had contact with at Koons of Tysons from the Sales Manager Jay Jarvis, the Finance Manager Kelli Dyer, to the parts department all treated us the same. They went out of their way to ensure we were happy with our purchase. Anyone looking to purchase a new or used vehicle with no hassle Koons of Tysons Corner is the place to go. Ask for Earl Jones and you will always get the VIP treatment.Awesome Experience!
by Munzer on 12/19/2014Dave Sawyer and Bryan Murray were awesome!!! Dave had me in and out in a few short hours, went over every detail of the vehicle and how to operate the gadgets, which most sales people do not do or are unaware of how to operate the Nav.… Dave also followed up with me after the purchase and also kept me informed while I was waiting for the vehicle to come in. Bryan made sure I was with the right person and taken care of! Dave and Bryan are outstanding!!GMC Sierra

by jaydogg7762 on 10/28/2014updated 11/04/2014John, General Sales Manager, and Michael, night time service manager, and our greeter (sorry I missed her name)were all very helpful in getting the service we needed completed in an expeditious manner. Being that it was a factory defect on… a new car (driven 100 miles), their efforts went a long way in keeping our spirits high even though there was a huge inconvenience not more than 2 days into ownership.Koons Chevrolet
