Buying Mustang GT350
Will update to possibly 5 stars once service department addresses my concerns regarding my New 2017 Mustang GT350 on 10/31/2017. I was debating between staying local and buying from Apple Ford in MD or making the trip down to Sterling, VA. Unlike Apple Ford, Greg Williams with Koons Sterling Ford was willing to go over some basic numbers over e-mail. This motivated me to go ahead and make the trip. Sales: Upon arriving, Greg was very patient with me as I began to flip flop between vehicles. He even took the time to move the vehicles next to each other to assist me in my decision. I finally agreed upon the car and began the buying process. Overall, Greg was outstanding. No complaints whatsoever. I did not schedule an appointment, so another client of Greg's showed up in the latter portion of my buying process, but Greg meticulously juggled both of us around the process so that neither one of us were waiting on him. Finance: If you read my reviews, you'll notice I buy cars a little too much, so I'm used to the finance managers and what a fun process this can be. Unfortunately, this one did not seem to be like the others. Once I refused the aftermarket offers, he was very quick, but in a rude manner. Barely took any time explaining the documents I was signing, and if I asked a question, he was a bit snappy. Not the kind of service I would expect for someone who is wasting that much money. But, since everyone dreads this portion anyway, I won't let this impact my review. Finishing Up: Back to Greg, the reason this review will ultimately receive 5 stars if the service department fixes my issues (I'll address below). After finance, Greg took the time to sit in the car with me and explain all the different settings and connect my phone to the car. Thank you Greg! Service Department: Unfortunately, driving home, I noticed a wind noise of sorts coming from the driver's side dash if I go above 60mph. There is also a noticeable rattle if I'm driving at a slow rate of speed across the whole dash. Greg referred me to Allen in the service department. I'll be dropping the car off on 10/31/2017. Will update review after I get my car back. Overall, I am very pleased with this dealership thus far and will likely return in the near future to lease another car (as my daily). I'll obviously hope not to get the same finance manager and buy a car that does not rattle.
Horrible service department
Took my car in for a warranty repair.bthe work done caused a different part of the engine to fail. Was left 200 miles from home with no working vehicle and when I called I was told to pretty much figure it out. Zero initiative to fix the problem even after a different dealership confirmed the cause was poor workmanship. No point in buying a car with a service plan and warranty when neither are honored once it is the dealers fault.
Amazing Sales Customer Service!
After searching for a few weeks and nearly buying a used truck, we met Alex Assefa at Koons Sterling Ford. Alex went above and beyond to listen to our needs, give us several options that worked for us! He kept us informed of the process every step of the way. Alex was the ONLY salesperson that we came across in our search that truly worked for us and showed sincere care. This was our 1st experience at your Ford dealership. We have been buying Jeep/Cherokee from Koons for years. Our salesman Rickie Piland was excellent and the whole experience from start to finish was a pleasure.
Great Dealership, Great Cars
We've purchased our last 4 vehicles at Koons Sterling. We keep coming back because of the great sales and service staff. The service staff is always helpful, going out of their way to make sure we understand exactly what is being done and why it is being done. I am totally satisfied with this dealership.

We purchased a 2015 Ford Mustang. Our experience with Koons Ford was excellent. We went looking for possible trading in a car on a new one. From the moment I walked into the dealership and was greeted with a friendly smile from John B, the sales and customer service from the staff at Koons Ford was exceptional. John ensured I was taken care of by the sales staff and checked on our progress to help me select the right car for the right price. Both Bob S and Danny I took great care and showed genuine concern to find a car to fit my needs at the best price. After selecting a 2014 Ford Fusion, Bob and Danny both showed great patience as I made the right choice. "1st car purchase"... very much rewarding
I bought my 2011 Ford Fiesta from this location approximately 2 years ago... and it was one of the most rewarding decisions I have ever made. First car purchase for me (previous vehicle was given to me)...so I was doing my due diligence comparing prices from all nearby dealerships. I was also in the market since my previous car (93' Saturn) was no longer working...thus I was without a form of transportation during my car hunt. This particular location had the best sticker price at the time so I decided to check them out. Enrique R. was the car salesman who assisted me from beginning till end. I never felt pressured, he understood where I was coming from, and respected me trying to be an informed customer. My mind was at ease when I decided to purchase a Ford Fiesta...however, the one I was particularly keen on was unfortunately not in the color/version I desired (automatic / Dark Grey color scheme). He went above and beyond by locating the version I desired from another Ford dealership 250+ miles away...he was able to deliver it to Sterling, VA within 2 days... He also provided me a vehicle to drive around with in the interim given that I didn't have a vehicle at the time. We all can recall how nervous and stressful the "1st Car Purchase" may be...yet for me I can peacefully state mines was very much extraordinary. I just would like to commend this location for offering a great experience for me...as well as Enrique. I'm a very selective individual when it comes to trusting people...but Enrique came across as a very genuine person, thank you again. I hope for those who read my message can include Koons at Sterling / Enrique a chance to earn your business.
Shane S. rocks!
Was looking to increase the space in the car. Shane S. took care of me. He was able to answer any question I had. Got me a great deal on my trade and new car. Then Eman K. took care of me in the finance office. This having been my 4th Ford dealer to have worked with other the years was the smoothest car purchase ever. Will defiantly hit Shane up the next time I am in the market for a car.
Horrible Buying Experience - Repeat Customer
It is important to first note that I am a repeat customer for this dealership. As in repeat, I mean I have purchased four cars in the last three years. So, I was very surprised when I received extremely poor treatment. I was looking to trade my truck in for a new truck. First, the salesperson had poor knowledge of the Ford vehicle I was interested in. Secondly, the trade process was a mess as they offered me $20,000 for my trade less than another Ford dealership 20 miles away. Only when I pointed that out did they agree to "fix" the number. I was then hammered in the negotiation process. Again, as a multiple car buyer I am used to how this process is worked at this dealership but this was much different. Much more cut throat. Between the "lie" about the trade amount and the offensive negotiation tactics I took my business to another local Ford dealership. I was able to easily acquire a new truck at this other dealer. I will never step foot in this dealership. Too bad for them as I tend to purchase a new Ford vehicle for myself or my company every 2-3 months. Their loss. I would caution all interested in using this dealership. Their are many other Ford dealerships in the area - Leesburg, Warrenton, Manassas, etc. This is not the only shop in town and they way they have begun to treat people they should be ashamed to hang the Ford emblem.
Great service dept
If your looking for someone that you can trust with your new Ford, see these guys. I've been to a few of the other Ford dealers in the area and their service dept wasn't very good. If the service adviser talks to you like you are bothering them, go elsewhere. The guys were at Koons Sterling Ford are nice and friendly. They know what you need and take car of your car. I take my Ford there for all its service.
Purchased Two Cars from this dealer
Salesman was Mark Hunter on both occasions. Mark is a salesman who looks out for his customers and handles all questions and returns calls quickly. After sales support continues to be very positive. Purchased a 2010 Mercury Grand Marquis and 2008 Ford Explorer from Koons and Mark handled both sales in an outstanding manner. Ask for him when you visit Koons and you'll be very pleased. Contacts with other sales reps (if Mark was not available) were also positive. I have no negative comments about this specific dealership.

Bought 2 vehicles from Nick. He made an amicable deal with my 2010 Ford Edge that i could not refuse. He was always willing to work something good with me so I kept coming back.
They Did Wow Me!
Bottom Line: All promised, Koons delivered! Ricky Rivera hands down made the buying experience totally awesome! From pricing to trade-in, you couldn't ask for better! If you want to purchase, don't waste your time with any other metro area Ford dealer--go to Koons, you won't be disappointed! It will be your aha moment!
I WILL tell EVERYONE
Out of all the dealerships in Northern Virginia, Sterling Ford exceeded all expectations!! After completing all my research online and submitting my request for more information, a Ford dealership in Chantilly contacted me. I obviously got all my information from them and then shopped around from Tysons to Manassas even Marshall Virginia before I contacted Sterling Ford. Of ALL the online quotes I received, Brian D'Amico of Sterling Ford crushed the competition. There was never any pressure from him to 'come out and see what we have' or any gimmicks to get me into the dealership. He simply said he would back up his quote. I went to Sterling Ford and worked with John Chinn of his sales staff and had a wonderful expereience. John never put any pressure on me. He didn't allowed my wife and I to view the vehicle and wasn't annoying with all the 'busy chatter' you generally receive from sales people. He simply let us do our thing and provided simple straight forward answers to our questions. I had a couple requests that Brian D'Amico jumped through hoops to get accomplished. (If I was a salesman, I would not have worked with me) Brian always went a step further or did more then I requested and I couldn't be happier. I finally sat down with Adrian Tiaga of finance and thought (ok here it is, ,he is going to pressure me into all those stupid 'add on' packages that I don't want) AGAIN, there was NO pressure. He gave me unbelieveable prices (which through my research I knew were less then the competition). Everything was done in an efficient straight forward manner. He Approved me for 0% and got amazing financing that fit my tight budget. If I had to do this all again, I would go straight to Sterling Ford where everybody was friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond to make my truck buying process an amazing experience!!
