Misleading Customers: The quality standard of a new car?
by MJ on 10/06/2019I purchased a KIA Soul on Sep 29th. The dealership asked me to pay more $2K~2.5K as a "maintenance & reconditioning" cost. They said they performed such service to make the car have the "quality standard of a new car." Since it was my first… time to buy a car and they sell certified preowned cars, I trusted them and believed them. For the long story short, I got my car inspected by an independent inspection shop. There many things to get replaced or fixed, but the thickness of brake pedals is not the "quality standard of a new car" as they promised. The rear brake pedals at 3/32 inches while new brake pedals are 1/2 inches. I wonder why KIA brand management team allows such practice. Because they told me that this car has the quality standard of a new car, I thought that all KIA cars are like this - noise some brakes and vibration during driving. This dealership misrepresents the brand image of KIA.DONT BUY HERE
by esoucitraps on 03/08/2017I purchased a brand new car, and it's been nothing but a series of problems since I bought it. Water pump went out 3 weeks after purchase, handle needed replaced, door sealant needed replaced, computer has a glitch they can't fix, backup… camera went bad in 6 months, car randomly won't turn on, doesn't kick over to electric when it should. Neither the dealership or Kia are willing to step up and fix it. NEVER WILL I RECOMMEND THIS DEALERSHIP OR KIA AGAIN.Ask for Tony

We found what we were looking for, drove to the dealership, test drove the car, handled all paperwork, and drove… the car home less than 3 hrs later. It was handled with such a flow that I told them it almost didn't feel real! My only negative comment is that as we were trying to pay our down payment, the lady running our card was obviously ready to go home, as she had her purse on her shoulder and didn't say much to us (it was very late, so I do understand, but felt it was a bit unprofessional). She was not very personable and almost made us feel like we were burdening her with our purchase. It was not a big deal, and was worth it as we love our new 2015 Outback! I would definitely buy from them again.Perfect transaction

They applied the arrangement to the car I wanted and I was out of the dealership with a new car in record time. There was… no hassle and no run-around. They honored the system perfectly. I had a miserable experience a year earlier at two other Virginia dealerships. One told me a car I had seen for sale on their lot was not eligible for the buying system and the other stopped talking to me when they realized I had a certificate. I would recommend Dulles Subaru under the truecar/PenFed system to anyone.Great transaction

Met with Bob, told him how much I wanted to pay. Bob worked out a GREAT… deal with NO hassles. I highly reccomend dealing with Bob. Excellent person to deal with!A great experience

Some items for improvement are fixing glitchy software that caused unneeded delays in financing paperwork, increasing automation… of the already too many forms needing to be signed and being more up front on meeting with the "extra" sales staff. We thought we were going to finance and instead had to meet with a salesperson for extra services. I felt this was kind of sneaky and not necessary to be handled that way.Awesome!!

Best deal by far offered of the multitude of dealership offers we reviewed. Very pleasant, relaxed environment, felt minimal pressure to purchase… options, and staff was very helpful and accommodating. Particularly pleased with interactions with Angela and Nick. Will definitely consider Dulles Motorcars for our next purchase and will recommend them without reservation.
