  • Unprofessional Salesman

1 out of 5 starsby Patrick on 04/08/2020

I spoke with Kent, the salesman, several times for several days regarding two different trucks they had for sale. I live an hour and a half away so I wanted to make sure everything was in order before I made the trip. I waited until he had an appointment time open to drive out and see the trucks. He tells me the day I'm suppose to come that one of the trucks had a sale pending. I decide to drive out to look at the other truck, which we again talked several times before I made the trip to buy the truck. When I showed up the truck had just been sold and was being driven off the lot by the new owner. I was extremely upset and given no explanation. I would have appreciated a courtesy call to let me know not to drive an hour and a half for no reason.

We purchased a vehicle from Pride Auto Sales last August. Jacinda and the lot attendants were very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They even helped move our belongings from our previous vehicle to the new vehicle. The vehicle we purchased was very clean and has be running great! Overall, we had a very positive experience.

Every experience is different, I hope all goes as smooth. I really suggest you try them. Sales Associate was Miss. Jacccinda with her excellent customer service , she will make you feel at home.

  • Good Start but Poor Finish...

2 out of 5 starsby mk on 09/09/2019

Drove from out of state to to pay cash for a vehicle that passed initial "picture" inspection. Salesman fielded questions and was helpful. Vehicle was in good condition, as advertised, and cleaned up well. Price for vehicle was bluebook reasonable. After a test drive to check functions and negotiating for worn tires, agreed to sign paperwork, asking for gas tank to be filled and exterior washed. However, upon paperwork being brought out, it was revealed there was only one key was provided. Ok, can live with that, not a deal breaker. After signing, felt wierd that salesman was not walking me out to vehicle. Found out tank was empty. Walked back in and brought it to dealers attention, and they reneged, only went to fill tank half way. Argued their previous negotiation (for worn tires) prevented them from filling the tank as they were losing money. I was pleased with the purchase, but am concerned about the dealer's integrity for immediately reneging on verbally agreed terms prior to signing. The revealing of "only one key" as the last minute, along with a sketchy "filled the tank" left a sour feel to a 30k purchase. I did not think this poor closing service was worth making a huge scene about, thought I spoke at length with the salesman about it. Poor closing of a fine deal, leaves a sour taste in my mouth. Will not refer and will place negative comment for review.

  • Very competitive pricing, honest staff

5 out of 5 starsby Skyguy on 04/01/2019

I shopped around for a certain make/model and Pride had the best price by a good margin. Car was as advertised, very clean and no surprises. After a communication mix-up, the owner went out of his way to make things right. It's not often that you feel well taken care of and that you got a square deal when it comes to buying a used car, but that was our experience here.
  • Lemon cars for sale

1 out of 5 starsby Dionne on 03/21/2019

My husband was very excited to purchase his first car. He had done his research and came across Pride Auto Sales from a third party web site. The reviews we reputable and he was in contact with the owner several time the week of our purchase. On the website the dealership noted the car came with a 3 mos. dealership warranty and with much discussion we came to the decision that we would finance independently and purchase an extended warranty. The communication between my husband and the owner specified there was no concern with the vehicle and even provided a clean car fax report. The day we came to the dealership, the car was upfront and ready for a test drive. I along with my husband and our daughter was impressed with the look of the car. He test drove the car and at the time seems to have passed the initial test. We did not go on the interstate ( mistake #1). We also did not notice any caution lights during his test drive. Fast forward, check given for full amount of the purchase without an in store warranty. We were told during the purchase that the in store warranty was not for "range rovers" (mistake #2). Based on the test drive and the expectation of some cosmetic fixes we proceeded with the purchase. We proceeded to get back on the road and 20 minutes later I got a call from my husband stating the car would not go over 50 miles per hour, began to smoke, and 2 caution lights flashed. He was able to drive to the next exit and we immediately called the owner. My husband calm yet upset called and asked for the owner NOT to cash the check and he wanted his money back. The owner and my husband came to an agreement to have a loaner car brought to him and that he would take the truck back to the "shop" (owned by pride auto sales Mistake #3) fix any problems and bring the vehicle her purchased to our home. Due to that negotiation on a Saturday, we proceeded home in the loaner and trusted that the owner would do the right thing ( mistake #4). The guy who brought the loaner saw that the lift system was off and stated "it was a sensor" and apologized profusely. On Monday, the owner and my husband had been in contact, he assured my husband all issues had been fixed and sent a screen shot of the diagnosis report saying all was acceptable (not a print out as my husband suggested). After my husband rode with the owner and the caution light appeared again the owner informed him owe your extended warranty will address that "sensor" light and "its not problem". Not knowing at that time his check had already been deposited my husband informed the owner he would take the truck to range rover, had a diagnostic ( that cost 300.0) to find out the car would and should have never passed inspection with but not limited too, two defective ball bearings on the front, a valve cover gasket cap repair, a rear suspension malfunction along with the necessary new alignment, oil flush and changes that needed to be done with those repairs. THE GRAND TOTAL 10.000 in repairs needed to be done, not covered by the warranty, and claimed to be pre-existing. At that time the recommendation from the bank, warranty company and range rover was to return the car for a full refund. The owner refused to accept any responsibility! The car is now sitting in the driveway looking pretty with 30 day tags however, never been driven over 50 miles since coming back into our possession!!! IT is heartbreaking and shady to sell a car in this shape oh and checked cleared the Tuesday after purchase!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We start the car daily and it purss....whistles... and smokes up the entire neighborhood.

  • BUYER BEWARE!!

1 out of 5 starsby Kim on 11/09/2018

I just bought a truck from them a month ago with a new inspection. After riding in the truck a couple of times I kept feeling nauseous. I took the truck to a mechanic and he said it had a hole in the right side exhaust...this would explain me getting sick. I was told it shouldn't have have passed inspection. After talking to the dealership I found out they have their own inspector...I guess that is why they passed it. I called and they said it is sold as is. I am now reporting them to the state police for a fraudulent inspection.
