0 points, -negative- points if permitted, to the house of Larry H. Miller Honda Murray for doing what is best for oneself, and casting clouds to hide the path to doing what is right. Please friends make sure to test drive a car from this dealer at freeway speeds to be sure that Larry H. Miller Honda Murray does not send you out sucking on a lemon laced with mechanical problems. Exhibit A: My family’s new used Honda Pilot that lasted less than 2 weeks (off the LHM lot) because we drove +55MPH and then it broke. We paid over $18,000 for this 2012 Pilot = crying sad face emoji that won’t be changed by LHM Honda Murray. why? Well because they came at me with wands up and intent to harm and all I did was raise my hand to ask if a tech, mechanic, salesperson, or anyone at the dealership had driven it on the freeway to make sure that the car was sound. In response they called me several times and I explained anew to several people and I never got an answer = assumed No = My used Honda from this Honda dealer was not tested by dealer for safety or soundness by driving it AT FREEWAY speeds. Note: Just so you know, and to clear up your accusation, if someone (You) wrote me a blind blank check I would not take it and run off and lie and cheat and steal with it. So perhaps before dragging another person through a 3+ person call chain (up to Manager) and then hanging up on them, think about who we (You and I) are outside of Manager and customer. In this view toward basic humanity, you would have easily found a path to doing a right thing dear renounced house of Larry H. Miller Honda of Murray. Also, I am saving up money for the repair (now confirmed as transmission Solenoids) and initially had no intent on asking LHM Honda to cover it // Not even one $1.00 dollar. The only reason I called was because my personal mechanic suggested calling to offer a chance of due diligence to LHM Honda Murray. I was right about how it would play out with me contacting LHM Honda Murray and them refusing on enough levels to make it like driving into quicksand to return there and overpay them more to be mistreated and taken advantage of. I could guess at some of my mechanic’s words when I return but they are likely swear words. So my review and connection to this deal are nigh done (I really pray that it is!). We paid full in cash out of our home equity and now we have that less to buy a new home. BUT hey we do have a used 2012 Honda Pilot fresh from LMH to shade the driveway from this summer’s record heat. True to Murphy’s Law, the air conditioning is going out in my commute car that my family is squeezing into in the interim and even our dog is complaining about the hot car. Oh yes and I gave LHM Honda Murray my 2007 Hyundai Veracruz with ice cold AC for only one $1.00 dollar as they asked instead of donating it to charity. Well played, your team surely taught me, and my family, our friends, my wife’s family, and my friends at work, etc. a great lesson about failed due diligence and a broken moral compass. It takes a lot to shake me. This is the only review that I’ve ever felt a need to write. I have read hundreds of vehicle crash reports and analyzed thousands in my work as a Civil Engineer. Mechanical vehicle failure at freeway speeds can mean death to all occupants and to other drivers and passengers in multi-vehicle collisions. In all truth if anyone in my family or my dog gets hurt by your fallout __ trusted friends and I will take You to court and win with ease by voices of Judge and aforementioned who watched this unfold when my poor Pilot from LHM Honda Murray came home. Ready // signed contracts, family and friend who drove failed car at my request ready as witnesses, copy of down payment and cashier’s check for full cost, documented timelines, documented conversations, dealer trade-in Kelly Blue Book values for 2007 Hyundai Veracruz, expert industry testimony, other documents, pending repair bills, and GRAMA threads /// All Checked. Good night.

  • Fantastic Dealership

5 out of 5 starsby SaltLakeLana on 10/23/2015

The people at Larry H. Miller Honda are great to work with. I bought my Honda Fit from them and use their service department for all routine maintenance. When I was buying my car, they were helpful, informative and respectful of my budget. I never felt pressured to buy or to upgrade. The whole process was remarkably pleasant. Their service department is equally friendly and efficient. My next car will be a Honda and I will definitely go back to this dealership. I am extremely impressed with their commitment to customer service.
    • Thank you very much for your business! I am happy to hear that you have enjoyed your purchasing and service experiences with us. Enjoy your Honda Fit! -Scott Harding, General Manager

  • Larry Miller Honda are [non-permissible content removed]

1 out of 5 starsby VATigers on 08/28/2015

Larry Miller Honda in Murray utah are [non-permissible content removed]. Please do not buy from them. My wife and I are looking for a new 2016 Honda Pilot. For me the major concern was finance. I was told that I need to finance the vehicles from Larry Miller by the sales agent. I wanted to have it financed it from my bank. I was said that I have to make 3 payments calculated at 72 months. When I called off the deal, the sales agent promised to check with his finance manager and he came back and PROMISED that I could finance the vehicle from my bank. Thats the reason I decided to buy the car. Here's what they do to me. They made me wait more than 2 hrs saying that the finance manager is busy. When I went to sign the documents, the finance manager refused to accept payment from my bank. He rudely said that the deal is off. Since I was tired after waiting for 2 hrs, I decided to sign the contract. After signing the contract, I had another shock of my life. The 3 payments were calculated at 60 months which means now I would be paying more. It was a planned to conspiracy to make me wait and tire me out so that they can get their way. Please stay away from Larry Miller Honda in Murray Utah. They only want your money and they are CHEATS Sales agent : Alan M Finance manager : Paul St. Clair

  • Frustrating

    1 out of 5 starsby jmb19 on 11/06/2014

Stopped in to see a used car one day as it was still active on cars.com. After waiting for 20 minutes, I was told the car was not on the lot and had likely been purchased but hadn't been recorded yet so the ad was still active. Almost a week later, the ad was still active so I called and scheduled an appt to see it. I gave them a stock number and confirmed with 3 different people that the car was available- I was even told it was currently being cleaned for my appt. So when I showed up to my appt, I spent 30 minutes waiting while they "looked" for the car. They never found it. I don't know how much of this was "tricks" to get me to look at other cars or how much was complete disorganization but, either way, it was a complete waste of time.
    • Thank you for taking the time to provide some valuable feedback. I'm sorry that you were not satisfied with your experience. If you'd like to discuss, please feel free to reach out to me at 801-268-5546. Best Wishes, Suzie Wright, Customer Relations Manager

  • Painless

    4.6 out of 5 starsby land_o_farmers on 09/25/2010

We loved that the salesperson showed us the bottom line with the fees delineated. There was none of the "4-square" talk that car sales people love to talk to circles around. I appreciated that we knew exactly how much we were going to pay up front. Don't try and hide fees to make me think I'm paying less than I am. We had our kids with us and they were cognizant of our time and tried to speed the process up accordingly. Loved our experience.

I am a nervous buyer. I always pass through buyers remorse and am never satisfied. However, when I walked in with my friends so they can buy a car, I also left there with a new car. I really enjoyed Wayne E. He was really just a great salesman and I felt comfortable the entire time. He never pushed me or made me feel that I needed to buy a car. He was just straight in helping me. Larry H Miller is top notch!
  • Fast and easy to work with. Amazing staff.

We just bought our THIRD honda from Richard L. Each time he has been so wonderful to us, even though we had four kids in tow. He gets our paperwork done so fast it is amazing. He also takes the time to listen to exactly what we are looking for, and gets it for us. I hope we won't need another anytime soon, but if we do, I know exactly who we are going to go see.
    • Thank you for being such a loyal customer! We sincerely appreciate you taking the time to write this review. We are happy that you have enjoyed each experience with us! Come see us again soon!-Scott Harding|General Manager

I ended up paying $500 more than they had agreed. They tried to nail me for an additional $5,000. I purchased a new Honda at Larry Miller because they had the car we wanted, and they would not trade it to the dealership we wanted to use. Larry Miller agreed to sell it to me for the price I had negotiated with the other dealership. When I sat down with the finance guy, he tried to get me to sign a note to Honda Finance without going through the details of all the costs. When I asked for the details, he said that I should sign this first, then the detail page would come later. The payment was about $100 more than I expected, so I demanded that I see the details. He was clearly irritated, but printed out the details and presented it. HE ADDED OVER $5,000 in prepaid service, interior and exterior protection, theft protection, and an extended warranty. This was in addition to sales tax, license, etc. This was all added without discussing these products/services with me. He then began his cheezy sales routine. Eventually I had all these extras removed However, what I didn't notice was that they added $500 to the price in the final contract. I signed it, so I am the fool. We love the car, but I would never buy here again. I have dealt with other Honda dealers in the area that were great. I have purchased many cars, and 3 were at Larry Miller dealerships. 2 terrible experiences and 1 good one - not very good odds.

My wife, 5 year old daughter, and I were detained for 6 hours trying to buy a car at Larry Miller Honda today. Our sales person Carlos did as good of a job as he could but the sales manager Tyler was impossible to work with. We already had an offer from another dealership a little further away from us, and I just wanted to see if these guys would match it and work with me on throwing in the wiring harness for towing or at least splitting the cost. They agreed to the price but tried to sneak in an additional $800 destination fee which was already included in the previous quote. Luckily we caught that and sent the offer back and Tyler came back accepting the quote we came in with but only offering to give us $7.50 off the price of the $282 wiring harness...why even bother?! He would not budge but we figured oh well the location of this dealership was what motivated us to come here anyways, lets just buy the car and be done with it. We arrived at the dealership at 11:30 and at the time we shook hands on the deal it was probably 1:30. By about 4:30 I was losing my patience and temper that they hadn't finished the paperwork or whatever they needed to do when my salesperson comes to me and asked if I had contacted someone via internet requesting a quote. I said yes that I had but he screwed it up and gave me a quote on an odyssey instead of the Pilot EXL as I had requested. But he said we might not be able to do the deal now because I had contacted that person! Now irrate and out of paitience I went into the sales managers office and asked what the heck is going on here. He did not care that we had already been in the dealership with a 5 year old girl for 5 hours already and said blundtly that we picked one of the busiest days of the year to try to buy a car (memorial day) and that we didn't have to stay and wait that we could leave and go buy the car somewhere else if we wanted to. He said we should have known it would take a long time today, and he only had one finance guy here working. Well I had no idea it would take so long and if they were expecting to sell a lot of cars they should have had more finance guys there working. He couldn't have cared less what we had been through already. I wanted SO badly to leave but was not going to go through this process again, I just wanted the paper work done and to get out of there. I feel bad for my sales guy as he was truly trying to do everything he could for us. He even pulled money out of his wallet and went and bought our daughter some candy out of the vending machine. But the wait was unexcusable...we had been there for 6 hours before we pulled away. And before we could pull away they had to jump the battery in the car. Horrible Horrible experience and I will gladly drive further to deal with a different dealership next time. DO NOT waste your time with this ungrateful, unprofessional dealership if you value your time at all. I forgot to mention that as we were going through the paperwork with my salesman, one of the booklets was already filled out and dated in Feburary 2013 by a different buyer. When I requested a new booklet so that it didn't look like I was the second owner of this new car Tyler told my salesman to tell me that I could buy one. Just thought that was another telling example of the unprofessionalism that I experienced by this sales manager and another example of why I will never return here to purchase another vehicle.
    • I am very sorry to here about your experience. I know we talked and again I wanted to apoligize. I hope I have earned you back as a customer. Please let me know if there is anything I can do in the future. Thanks Dave Whitmer

Price posted on their web site was lowest in a six state area. Trade allowance was almost 10% higher than six other dealers. Customer service was professional in nature. There were no surprises or added fees when it came time to sign the contract. Highly recommended.
    • Thank you for your review! We are always happy to hear feedback from our customers. I'm happy that everything was satisfactory with your experience, and we look forward to serving you again in the future. -Scott Harding, General Manager

I was offered several options at every turn, from choice of colors and trim levels, to easy and clear finance choices. They even offered what I wanted for my trade. It was refreshing to deal with them from start to finish. I love my new Pilot.
