  • Kept in the dark

1 out of 5 starsby Paula Geisler on 02/24/2022

I received a letter in the mail regarding a recall on my 2010 Honda Civic for the airbag. I took my car in at 7:45 AM and my appointment was at 8 AM. I was promised my car would be finished by noon or 1 PM at the latest and did not hear a single word from Greg May Honda. I had correspondence with him earlier in the morning because I noticed a discounted coupon for some services and inquired about a tuneup in which they responded that it was $750 and I said absolutely not. If I had not contacted them I would have never known when my car was ready they did not follow through on their promises on that. The issue with the airbag was resolved though. I went through a big ordeal trying to get a ride back to the dealership and it was awful but ultimately wound up having to utilize their shuttle which had an amazing driver who is very polite and got me there promptly and safely. No one knew what was going on when I walked in to get my car, the girl that I talk to you in the morning finally came out and gave me my paperwork. She intern said she had to go get my car so she went and got my car and I left but with that experience being said, I will never return to Greg May Honda again. Main reason being they weren't concerned with letting me know that my vehicle is ready on schedule. They deliberately chose to ignore me as a customer and we're not going to alert me to any information regarding the vehicle at all. So I'm very disappointed in this establishment. I was very much kept in the dark during the entire process and only due to me being proactive was I actually able to make it to work late but early enough to do my job.

  • Will not repair anything they broke

1 out of 5 starsby Beware of this place on 12/22/2020

They overheated my amp for my subwoofer. They will not repair it. Kyle Binner chuckled and told me it was already not working. I paid you guys $427 for repairs and u think if my sound system was broken I wouldn’t have fixed it. Make sure you record your vehicle inside and out and under that way u will have proof if u still go there. Also, they do not wear mask despite of the ordinance.
    • I assure you that you never spoke with me, Kyle Binner, at any time during your visit here. I have no idea what your vehicle was even here for, but I can assure you that it wasn't anything to do with your sound system. Technicians start your vehicle, drive into the shop, do the repair, and pull it back out to the parking lot. Suggesting that someone here "overheated" your amp and subwoofers is ludicrous.

  • Poor creditability and service procedures

1 out of 5 starsby unknown on 12/25/2018

Recently took my car in for service and provided a written detailed list of what i wanted to be checked and/or repaired. Apparently the list was either not passed on to the "work tech" or if so they had no clue what they were doing. Two phone calls from them to me finally got the message across what needed to be done and it still was not done. I was told on third phone call from them that I needed parts that when the car finally was finished were not really needed, they were just "shot gunning" their actions to see what they could find that they say needed to be replaced but could not explain why the parts needed to be replaced or why some parts that they did replace did not work. After face to face meeting with tech's, service manager, and owner, they suddenly decided what they were trying to pull over on me was not working and in a short time either fixed the issues I had or I told them to stop trying to fix some issues that they were quoting me really expensive costs for parts. They got the car finished in short order in my opinion just to get me off the lot and out of the show room so that other customers could not hear me complaining about their service or the lack of. In my opinion based on the many lies i was told and rudeness of the owner I will not ever go back to this dealership and highly recommend if asked by other hyundai owners that they beware of the unethical practices their service department tried to push pass me. Also if anyone uses this dealership, please check your bill prior to paying because they also added on "document storage" charge and " shop supplies" charge over the labor and parts cost.

  • Thank You!

We took our Civic in for a routine oil change. During this visit, there was some damage assessed (caused by our muddy driveway). The Service Department worked hard to help us remedy any problems with our vehicle and had it back to us the next day! We sincerely appreciate their assistance with our vehicle. Great job!!

  • Service Dept. Second to None!

I recently had my Type R in to replace the rear brakes. Alan Hale is always professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and honest. The job was done correctly, on time, and for a fair price. I couldn't be more satisfied with my experience at Greg May Honda thanks to the outstanding people that work there.
  • Routine Maintainance

The service department is great! They are always friendly and helpful. They inform you of items that are in need of service or items that will be needing service soon, but they don't pressure you to perform the work immediately (unless it is a serious safety concern.)
  • Convenient!

I love the maintenance minders my van gives me. It's easy to schedule online, and the maintenance department's hours are so convenient!

  • Poor service

    1.5 out of 5 starsby tbl1 on 08/23/2010

Made an appointment for a simple oil change and waited 1 hour while the car sat in the spot I stopped it at in front of the customer service area door. Last week I had called in to make an appointment with the service department and let them tell me what day and time since I had a open time this week. I showed up for the 9:30 appointment at 09:20 and contacted the service rep. She got my information and I asked how long and the response was about an hour. So I went looking around the lot at new vehicles since I will be buying a new vehicle soon. Was asked if I needed help while looking which I declined as I was just looking. When done I sat in the waiting room....waiting and watching and listening to sales staff about all the antics that they had to discuss. At 10:15 I noticed my vehicle was still setting in the same spot in front of the door. I waited till 10:25, the car was still where I parked it, I went and demanded my keys back. At that point the same service rep. did not know where my keys were and wanted to know which vehicle was mine. I told her it is the one that has been setting in front of the door for the last hour. After going over names twice in her ledger and asking the other two reps if they had the paperwork and checking in the shop she decided to look in the car, which is where my keys were still at. I am new to the area and was looking to do business with this dealership as I like Honda products but I will not go back to Greg May Honda. I have dealt with Honda dealers from Texas, New Mexico to Nevada and never have I seen such a unprofessional representation of a service dept. Also all the fun the sales staff was having in the front (gossiping and going on) in front of customers tells me they don't need any serious business to spoil the fun. I would not recommend this dealership.
  • Don't take your car to Greg May for repair

    2.8 out of 5 starsby stumpy2 on 08/08/2008

I took my car to Greg may in Waco to have a leak in the power steering system repaired and to have a noise in the front end looked at. The mechanic diagnosed the problem as a leaky boot on the passenger side of the rack and pinion. My take was that the boot was shot because power steering fluid leaked into it. At any rate I let them fix it to the tune of some $350. As I suspected, the leak continued. I returned to Greg May and this time I was told that the leak was in the steering rack and the rack had to be replaced. This would cost over $1100 dollars. Honda agreed to pay all but $350 so I went ahead with the repair. The parts were ordered, came in and I made an 8:15 appointment for the following day. I arrived at the dealer at 8:00 AM and checked in. I was told it would be about a 5 hr. repair so I told them my wife and I would go get breakfast, do a little shopping and then return. We live about 60 mi. from the dealer so I didn't want to go home and back again. When we retunred to the dealer at 1:00 they hadn't even started the car yet. Makes you wonder what good an 8:15 appointment was. Five hours later the car was finished eating up 10 hours of my day not counting drive time. The mechanic never even looked at the noise because it was the end of his day. I will find another dealer to take the car to and hope for better service.

Great location, easy to get to. Staff was very friendly and they were able to perform body work on my 2009 Toyota 4Runner.
