by LMS on 12/23/2024They are very untimely on fixing vehicle after I was there 30 min prior to appointment time. Had to pick up un fixed!Trash service department
by Haley on 12/06/2022The service department at Classic Toyota Tyler is such trash. I bought a 2017 Lexus NXT from them in June 2022. There were pieces missing from the cup holders that adjust to fit your cup size, right mirror rattled on the highway, and the… panel beneath the passenger seat was broken. Was told it would be fixed they just needed to order parts. Ok no problem. I come in around Sept/Oct for an oil change and was ensured these problems would be fixed while here for the oil change. 30 minutes into waiting, Albany comes and tells me the person pulling my car out of the initial service bay hit my driver side on one of the desks and they were taking it to the body shop to be repaired. 4 HOURS LATER my car was done and they had tried to pop the dent out using a heat gun causing my paint to bubble. They also hadn’t fixed anything they were supposed to (because it’s a Lexus and those parts had to be ordered which I already knew but they ASSURED me it’d be fixed this day). Surprise surprise they have to order these parts. Also had to be put in a rental for the 2 days it took for them to repair the damage they caused. So today, I am back to have the parts put on my car and get an oil change. I was quoted approximately 3 hours for this service. I got a Lyft and did some shopping. I arrived here at 0915…it is now 1434 and they managed to fix the mirror, cup holder, but the panel has to be ordered. STILL haven’t gotten to my oil change. I asked them to skip it, 4.5 hours is long enough for me. I’m still waiting for them to bring me my car and I had the Lyft driver drop me off at 1330. I am absolutely never coming back here. My husband will be bringing it up to have the panel replaced when it comes in because I can’t stand to be in this place again. HORRIBLE communication with each other! Maybe I’ll get out of here by closing time!Sienna repair
by GPD on 08/24/2022Worst service department ever. Took our Sienna in for an engine light coming on. Told that cam shaft needed to be replaced. Initially told it would take 2 weeks to get part in, and the other needed parts were already in stock. That was in… April 2022-2 weeks turned into another 2 weeks and fast forward 4 months later and part just came in. Repeatedly told that it was due to supply issues as a result of the pandemic. Told the entire country did not have the part which we found hard to believe. Part finally arrived in August 2022 and we were hopeful the vehicle could be repaired quickly. After several days passed with no communication, we were notified that the parts that were needed that were in stock initially were sent back due to being on the shelf too long uninstalled, and now it would take another 5-6 weeks to get the parts back. No assistance or compensation offered as far as loaner, financial compensation for their mistake. Unbelievable.Nothing has changed
by F Lewis on 07/21/2022I’ve had an issue almost every time Getting service on my 2021 tundra, but this is specifically directed to management. I had a great young man name Brandon helping me and I inquired a part that was order in April and to be installed this… visit. He took me to the parts dept to explain the note on the account. This is where the problem starts. He’s doing a great job and from across the lobby Vrenda ( a manager) yells at him about being in the parts area. He tries to explain and she yells “just pass him on and get outside”. So much for customer service. Vrenda should never be in charge of anyone and definitely my final straw. I will never return to Toyota of Tyler.Great honest service for a car that had over 180,000 miles on it
by Lisa McMahan on 03/26/2022We towed my daughter’s 2009 Prius, that was in pretty rough condition, to Classic Toyota in Tyler TX after it died in the middle of the road. I was very anxious about taking it to a dealership because you always think that they are going to… over charge you especially when they see a younger woman with a “junker” car. The guys at Classic gave me options as to what could be wrong with the car. We agreed to start by fixing the least expensive issue in hopes that would resolve the problem. I picked up the car and drove it a mile down the road only to have it die again in 5:00 Tyler traffic. Needless to say I was very frustrated. I called Classic and they sent 3 guys ,my service coordinator Diego Perez, a technician and the service manager( after 5:00) to help me. They were wonderful. My car was ready the next day and it cost less than the estimate they had given me. I just want to recommend Classic Toyota Service Department for their honesty, concern & kindness. Thanks so much!Time is valuable
by Jason on 12/22/2021I don’t usually leave reviews but I asked the service department on the phone when I made the appointment how long it would take and then I asked again upon arriving how long it would take and both times I was told 45 minutes. That gave me… confidence to make plans for an hour and a half after the appointment. After waiting for over an hour I asked for an update and was told it would be another 15 minutes. Please just be honest up front on the amount of time your service takes.Service
by gpd on 04/24/2021Took my daughter's 2007 Prius to be looked at due to the service engine light coming on. After having the car for a week, they finally called and said the engine was bad and was going to need to be replaced to the tune of about $5000! When… I questioned the service representative more about it, as I found it hard to believe it needed a whole new engine, decided we would not go that route and we wanted to take the car to someone else. Rudely commented "OK but the car needs a new engine" Took to an independent mechanic for second opinion who said the spark plugs needed to be replaced and the coil was bad, to the tune of $200 and was repaired in one day. Service department is a rip off.Bad Service, bad communication, and LYING!
by BadServiceDepartment on 01/18/2021December 16, 2020. I was sent to Classic by my insurance company (Ethos)to get a wiring issue fixed. I had an appt for 8am. Miranda was my assigned service person. We were told they could not give me a loaner car since they didn't have one… available. (They had one the week before when appointment was made). We took car in the night before. Next day we were told they had to others come in and "couldn't get to it until late". (Why did we make an appointment?) So, we go pick up car, at 6:30 pm, and were told the part to fix the issue was $10,000, and they would have to check with my insurance company. January 14th, 2021, after multiple messages left, finally got Miranda on the phone. She said she contacted insurance and they would not pay for the part nor the work. I went to my normal place we buy cars and get work done. They had sold me the car, and sent me to Classic as my issue was a manufacturer defect. They called my insurance. We were told they had not had 1 call from Classic regarding my vehicle. At that time they gave the ok to take it anywhere to get it fixed and they would pay. They also paid for a loaner while mine is being worked on. So to summarize....Classic made an appointment with me, and failed to do work in a timely manner. Classic did not even try to contact my insurance to see if it covered work done. Classic LIED about contacting my insurance company. I hope everyone realizes this is not a good place to do any kind of service with. I surely would not buy a car from a place with this service department.Shady Service
by Rachel EB on 11/07/2019We bought a new Prius Prime last May and we love the car and were happy when we drove off the lot. It’s been downhill from there. We’ve had so many issues with service since then that I regret buying the car. No one returns calls, they… treat me like a “dumb girl” when I call on the issues. This last time we were there for routine service, they put the wrong wheel on our car when the rotated the tires. How does that even happen? And when I called them the first time they didn’t even bother to call me back. When I did finally my reach someone (5 days later) he talked down to me until I put my husband on the phone. Service Manager, Scott - still waiting for your call back. Lance, the tire guy, make it right for us when we see you.Attentive Care and Quality Customer Service!

Chris Mabry was especially attentive to my requests and thorough in his explanations. He was patient to help me understand differences in… vehicles better suited for me and the various guarantee coverages Toyota offers. I only had one day off to exchange my car and Chris stuck it out with me until I was pleased with my purchase. He did extensive research and did a good job of explaining what it was I was buying and not just trying to make a sale. I felt his sincerity in quality over cost and his genuine down to earth personality helped me feel relaxed and safe about my purchase! I will definitely suggest Classic Toyota to anyone looking for a new car and if youre looking for a friendly, honest, accurate, flexible, saleman~ Chris Mabry is Your guy! He is certain to put your needs over his own. I will most assuredly be purchasing my cars there in the future!Great Service
