It’s a practice for this dealership to advertise one price then at the closing table to add on thousands for unneeded services such as ‘fabric protection’, ‘clear coat’ protection - and a whole list of other add-on’s. They… knocked this down from $3200 to $360 when I told them out right I didn’t need those things. Then when I wouldn’t use their financing because I had my own already set up they then refused to sell me the truck by telling us it was “just sold”. A week later it was still listed as ‘For sale’ on their web site. My 18 year old son was pretty disappointed he wasn’t getting his first truck he had his heart set on - But it was a good life teaching point about dealerships and salesmen such as this one and the real world we live in.My experience at planet fird

I called Adam and he had moved back to the service area. He assisted me in getting… connected to a sales rep thru the sales mgr. I met Payton. Very young and eager to please guy. by Greedy on 10/25/2018I was at Planet ford in Spring and got my Ram 1500 4x4 with a hemi 5.7 6in rough country lift, 20 in fuel wheels and nitto 35 in tired ,2 full years of warranty and only 6700 miles on the truck .And was offered 27,000 for it . I am a… disabled vet and this is pathetic .Vets you will not get treated right at Randal Reed Planet Ford in Spring .It was ALL GREAT!!

by LAGlass on 09/06/2018At first when we had just walked up, I asked for Shawn Burns as that is the name that 93Q radio station said you should ask for when you go in. At that time, the man outside who we told Mr. Burns' name to said, "that's above my level" and… got someone else to come help us as we walked in. That man, said Mr. Burns was not in and then handed me off to David Webb. At first this was a bit concerning to be "tossed" around so much and so quickly. At that time, David said, "please come to my office" and I refused indicating that my husband was already looking for the car we were interested in and that was where I wanted to go. He seemed almost reluctant to that saying "you could see it better on his screen" but then said "ok". We walked out to the lot to see the car (my husband was already in it). From that point on, things went much smoother. David helped us do the test drive and then we went inside to his office. He was very knowledgeable, answered all our questions, and gave us many options and all the discounts available. We decided to purchase the vehicle and David helped us and followed us through the whole process. I would like to say also, that because it was raining on and off the whole day, we thought that the dealership would be less crowded, but that was NOT the case; it was still very busy and David made sure we were not "left behind" because of the busy day. He was there leading us through all the following steps. All in all, we were pleasantly surprised and happy that, although it was a lengthy process, David was very aware of where we were in that process and helped move us along. The only down side I could see was that it took us about 4 hours to get everything done and to drive away with the car. However, I love, love, LOVE my new car and am very happy with David and the whole experience we had at Planet Ford in Spring! Kudos to you all!Great dealership

While completing the finance portion of the deal I was offered and accepted GAP coverage as well as Extended Warranty. The finance guy was having problems with his… printer and was not able to provide me with the contract at the time. He told me that he would email or mail it to me. I was fine with that as I understand technical difficulties. We left and didn't think twice that he might've done the paperwork wrong. After all, it is his job. Then, after an unfortuate accident, the car was totaled. I called the dealership to activate the GAP coverage and was told that I didn't have it. I left a message with the front desk to have the Finance Director call me as soon as possible to deal with this issue. I was not given what I asked for and I wanted it corrected. After several unreturned phone calls, I drove to the dealership, 45 miles away from my home, to speak to the Finance Director in person. I arrived at 9:45 am. It took over an hour for Mr. Loveless to get off the phone and talk to us. While we were waiting, we spoke to a couple of other managers. The Sales Manager and a Finance Manager. Both vehemently told me that I didn't have the coverage and they were not going to and couldn't do anything about it. That they were not going to take responsibility for their employee's mistake. However, the Sales Manager, Mr. Price, told me that if I bought a car from there he could make the GAP difference go away. When I finally got to speak to Steven, he told me that he doesn't believe that I was telling him the truth and that a lot of people do the "same" thing, that they wait until an accident and then ask for GAP coverage. He told me that if he made an allowance for me that he would have to make it for everyone. He also told me it was my fault for not verifying his employee's work and making sure he gave me what I asked for. And that it was my fault for not following up on getting the contract copy. I honestly didn't realize that I hadn't rec'd the contract until the accident occurred. The reason for forgetting about the papers was because I was caring for my husband who had pancreatic cancer and was going through chemo. He has since passed away and the car contract was the farthest thing from my mind. There was no service after the sell or anything. Money was all they cared about. The customer is not "right" at Randall Reed Planet Ford. I was judged, compared to all other car buyers and was called a liar. I was even told I didn't understand what Mr. Price was saying about me buying a car to make the GAP coverage "go away". That proves to me that they CAN do something, they just won't do it. They have no honor or compassion and made my already difficult times even worse. Mr. Loveless admitted to getting at least one of my messages but offered no reason for not returning the call. This is the worst automobile buying experience I have ever had. I should not be expected to verify someone's work to make sure they did their job correctly. If anything, it would be the Finance Director's job to proof his employee's work and notice if there was a discrepancy. I would not have purchased an extended warranty without also purchasing GAP insurance living in or around Houston. But since the finance guy didn't do his job correctly and provide what I asked for, me and my 2 sons are the ones who have to pay for his mistake. It is not right.Very good experience!
