Terrible Service Center
by AjsTxs1985 on 10/20/2017Went to this service center 2 times. The first time they misdiagnosed my GMC Terrain and they did not give me a full report on issues. The second time I went here they could not tell me why my Terrain starts up and sounds like a diesel… truck. The service advisor was not there to greet me and tell me what was done to my car or what the issues are. He left a handwritten, extensive list of parts amounting to $2200. No explanations were provided. I will never use this dealership/service center again. Frankly, the bad customer service starts in GMC Corporate, however, the service centers provide little to no condfidence or relief.Randy Harp @ Ewing GMC is the best!

by buyerbeware19 on 03/08/2015Purchased a 2007 Mercedes S550 with 33,000 miles from this dealer after being told the car had thoroughly been checked out including an engine diagnostic test. Less than 150 miles later after taking it to an authorized Mercedes dealer, who… also did an engine diagnostic test, because the engine malfunction light came on was told it needed $5,473 in engine repairs. Do not believe anything you are told by the sales or management staff. Their standard remark is you bought the car "AS IS."We are sorry that you have experienced a service concern 4 months after purchasing but the dealership cannot be held responsible for items unforeseen at time of sale and that take place 4 months afterwords regardless of miles. I will on the other hand offer you a possibility to trade out of it and into a different vehicle and a substantial discount. If this is something that you would be interested in please contact Mario Perez at your earliest convenience.
Tries to sell used cars as new
by estimated on 01/02/2015As a returning customer, I was surprised to find when shopping for a replacement vehicle, this dealership tried to push a particular vehicle on me. The deal seemed good (but not great), but something didn't seem right. I asked about the… mileage on the vehicle, but was repeatedly ignored. After my 4th time with no response on my mileage, they finally provided the information, which revealed the car was Used, not New. It was also 13 months old. Even though it was a Used vehicle, they were pricing it as new. It's a shame that EWING is a dealership willing to scam not only new, but returning customers as well. Did they really think a customer would never notice the mileage?!? On the same day, I had to return my current vehicle to the service department to correct a repair they had not completed properly. I would rather pay more to an ethical dealer. Had they simply been honest upfront, I probably would have purchased the vehicle.I am not even sure ifwhat they are doing is legal - never go to this place
by cravors on 08/06/2008Last Saturday I got the urge to get a new truck & called the internet sales department to see if something could be worked out. I explained to the sales person that because of how busy I am with work I do not have time to go back & forth… over price or financing. I gave him my particulars and parameters under which I was comfortable purchasing the truck & asked him if he thought there was a realistic possibility of making it happen. He told me he thought he could get close and asked me to come in so that he could get a first hand look at my trade in and see where the numbers would end up. I was happy with his suggestion & told him that if he could meet what my criteria I would buy the truck. If he could not just let me know so that I could move on and get back to work and he could focus on another buyer. This would be the last pleasant experience I would have with this dealership. Upon arrival I gave him my truck for inspection, test drove the new truck (which I actually really like), then sat down for what was exactly what I told him I did not have time to do. He came back twice with the different numbers & tried to get me to put more down than I asked for. I told him point blank I am not going to do it I need to get back to work, please get me my truck. Oh, I forgot to mention I have yet to see my truck that I was considering trading in. They also still had the keys. At this point he finance manager came over to try to pressure sell me the vehicle. He also kept trying to talk a deal with me. I literally told him 4 times I am not going to buy this truck from you please get me my truck so I can leave. Finally, I had to look them in the eyes and say, "you need to go get me my tuck now!!". At this point I was more than angry and did not have the means to leave other than walk home. I was trapped in one of those sales rooms with two guys trying to pressure me after I told them repeatedly not just no but get my vehicle so that I can leave. In any other situation I would have felt as though I should be worried about a physical confrontation. It sincerely felt that way. Certainly there is some kind of law against hiding your potential trade in that you own (vehicle & keys) and proceeding to pressure you into buying something that you do not want. I know that this is probably a long review but everyone should know about their tactics and NEVER BUY ANY VEHICLE FROM THIS DEALERSHIP.Ewing Buick Pontiac GMC
by ntheknow on 06/22/2008I had the SAME experience as the previous person. Via internet, my husband requested a quote for a vehicle with certain options. The saleswoman responded with a quote and stated that there just happened to be one on the lot with the same… options. Upon arrival, the saleswoman informed us that the e-mail response was not from her but from her boss (using her e-mail acct) and that there was never actually that particular car on the lot. She then proceeded to show us the $42,000 model (the original quote was for $31,000). This was a typical Bait and Switch scheme. In addition, we wanted to look at the Enclave. She refused to show us the model. She said it would be too expensive and that there wasn't a model on the lot. It was almost as if she had to sell a certain type of car for a specified amount of money. In the end, she sold nothing!Homemaker
by kam0809 on 05/13/2008Visited this dealership as they were quick to give me a response to the Buick Enclave, in the color I was looking for. Upon arriving, salesman informed me they did not have the color but could look for it. He then showed me the two on the… showroom floor. After that I suggested I would come back for a test drive as I did not have the time at that moment. Salesman stated they were not allowing test drives on this vehicle UNLESS they potential buyer was willing to sit down and come to terms on a purchase. I asked how could you do that without driving the vehicle? That is part of the whole decision making process, is it not? I advised them to remove me from their contact list. I am sure I can find a dealership that would allow a test drive! Poor customer service and handling of this situation.Great Service Rep!

He was very friendly, extremely patient (it took several days for me to pick up my car) and I did not feel at all like he was trying to pressure me into buying extra services. Therefore, I was much… more willing (and did) purchase needed service repairs instead of going to a non-dealership service shop. I will be bringing my Buick Enclave back to Tim any time there is a repair or maintenance needed. He has earned my repeat business going forward.Thank you for the excellent review! However, everyone at Ewing, from the front end of Andres, Michael, Suzanne & Randy to the back end service guys, Ben &… Tim, were all extremely patient and diligent in trying to resolve my problem. It turned out the problem totally had to do with MY phone and NOTHING to do with Buick or Ewing, but they never quit trying to help or lost patience with me. I also have to compliment the corporate GM representative, Brandon, that happened to be at Ewing that day for his help too. He also took a personal interest in trying to solve the problem getting the Detroit technology person on the phone to offer advice. I have never experienced better personalized service anywhere - and I mean anywhere, not just other car dealers. This dealership deserves top accolades and I will not hesitate to refer anyone to Ewing Buick/GMC.Thank you for writing this fantastic review and giving our dealership such an excellent star rating!
